GROUND SLOPE AT FOUNDATION

Anticipate settlement at foundation. Maintain a positive slope away from foundation to prevent possible basement water penetration.
* N- k+ X7 q) M6 v8 ~9 ONegatively graded slope toward the foundation visible. This condition does not allow water run-off and contributes to ponding. This condition can cause structural and/or water infiltration problems. Excessive soil/water pressures can actually cause lateral movement of the foundation, a potentially serious concern. Deficiencies must be corrected and suitable drainage conditions must be maintained in order to prevent problems.

These are commonly found in older houses, some are minor and least worrisome but the defective floor IMO is one prime deficiency of structure one should worry about; it is not easy to fix and will be costly even it can be done. I have seen floor with tiles crack that runs lengthwise and rise in the middle of the house apparently due to severe settlement/movement of earth and I personally believe this kind of repairs would induce great expense of time/money.

主要是地板不平有些担心，虽然验房师说问题不大。但是我们也看了好些房子了，地板不平还是第一次遇到。主要是和柱子接壤的地方高，周围低。怕是结构问题。
