March 7th: the University of Alberta Museums’ annual Science Sunday for kids!

/ D0 k8 a2 |7 e, MOn Sunday, March 7, 2010, from 12:00pm to 4:00pm, the University of Alberta Museums present the annual Science Sunday, an afternoon of discovery for kids aged 5 to 12.

6 {4 h# E6 T& K1 m2 ~' l0 ~Bring your children, grandchildren, or young friends to explore the natural sciences through a wide range of hands-on activities, including:

learning about animal noises with John Acorn, the Nature Nut
# |& l. d- P; g+ C# O% udigging for and examining fossils
5 s% X2 E( n& h& Y8 D. Gexploring the impact of meteorites on the surface of the earth : w( \$ W$ q4 x% V* L0 s! B
investigating insects

“Junior researchers” can drop in any time during the afternoon with an adult chaperone to participate. Pre-registration is not required. Admission is by donation.

Science Sunday is located in the Earth Sciences Building on the U of A Campus, just off of Saskatchewan Drive. Pay parking is available in Lot N on 111th Street.
