On Sunday, March 7, 2010, from 12:00pm to 4:00pm, the University of Alberta Museums present the annual Science Sunday, an afternoon of discovery for kids aged 5 to 12.# v3 `# F0 h: i- p3 e
! W2 K( ]" f4 }( I& r7 ABring your children, grandchildren, or young friends to explore the natural sciences through a wide range of hands-on activities, including:
1 \9 h! I7 Y" f- B1 C2 j7 y' F2 m3 L0 i' Q, t
learning about animal noises with John Acorn, the Nature Nut
" O8 K' M; D) G# }/ jdigging for and examining fossils
! Y3 `* L/ X* d6 I5 [# h: oexploring the impact of meteorites on the surface of the earth
7 |: P' X4 T& n0 W- |1 F Jinvestigating insects . d+ X' S% `1 S6 L6 x9 `& t# X
and much more!
0 F7 [6 l0 C1 n4 C" ]6 V G“Junior researchers” can drop in any time during the afternoon with an adult chaperone to participate. Pre-registration is not required. Admission is by donation.
