On Sunday, March 7, 2010, from 12:00pm to 4:00pm, the University of Alberta Museums present the annual Science Sunday, an afternoon of discovery for kids aged 5 to 12.+ A. I8 q' @# u' o# T: C
% j% x8 H4 s' K4 [Bring your children, grandchildren, or young friends to explore the natural sciences through a wide range of hands-on activities, including:2 W) G; n x" y8 z$ S
, l l u ^$ \# e) e: I8 xlearning about animal noises with John Acorn, the Nature Nut 4 ~( ?2 @" f' w: d1 |
digging for and examining fossils % C/ O5 ] i) d5 Y. u1 X2 v
exploring the impact of meteorites on the surface of the earth
9 z" w- \# C" P$ [) W3 f' Ainvestigating insects

/ I8 B1 O; x! z“Junior researchers” can drop in any time during the afternoon with an adult chaperone to participate. Pre-registration is not required. Admission is by donation.

Science Sunday is located in the Earth Sciences Building on the U of A Campus, just off of Saskatchewan Drive. Pay parking is available in Lot N on 111th Street.
