March 7th: the University of Alberta Museums’ annual Science Sunday for kids!

On Sunday, March 7, 2010, from 12:00pm to 4:00pm, the University of Alberta Museums present the annual Science Sunday, an afternoon of discovery for kids aged 5 to 12.

! H: ]/ U( k2 L- F) ~. n8 F% w: X uBring your children, grandchildren, or young friends to explore the natural sciences through a wide range of hands-on activities, including:

0 d- {1 I! J9 D3 a, Jlearning about animal noises with John Acorn, the Nature Nut
! k; y5 [1 I- F) V2 N6 \digging for and examining fossils
# t- }: }* _# {# P T4 Hexploring the impact of meteorites on the surface of the earth
6 B/ W) w0 q9 k- minvestigating insects
, v {7 d4 s/ E0 h! M$ A3 j5 q# land much more!6 m) F6 I2 m" y
“Junior researchers” can drop in any time during the afternoon with an adult chaperone to participate. Pre-registration is not required. Admission is by donation.

Science Sunday is located in the Earth Sciences Building on the U of A Campus, just off of Saskatchewan Drive. Pay parking is available in Lot N on 111th Street.0 E2 `9 L( A8 o2 F) U
