CALGARY - A fire has halted operations at one of Suncor Energy's two oilsands upgraders north of Fort McMurray, the company said Tuesday.

1 M/ V" T3 O: V. O$ c+ WNo one was hurt in the incident which happened after a fire broke out around midnight at its upgrader #1, Suncor said.

, ?8 E4 U( @! pThe energy giant said the 125,000-barrel-per-day unit was shut down after the fire, and it is currently assessing damage.

Suncor has been plagued by a series fires at its oilsands operations in the past five months, suffering three fires since October in the upgraders which convert bitumen into synthetic crude oil.( T+ {! h/ M- I1 G; W" @5 r
