: t0 J  N  w: h4 W2 l$ w: JAssists in the planning, organization and implementation of meaningful programs for the residents of the Extended Care Centre in collaboration with the Activation Manager.
3 J" u3 M3 K3 }0 ]* D' BWorks co-operatively with the Activation Manager, facility volunteers, families and other staff members.
Maintains appropriate resident and department records including assessments, evaluations of planned programs detailing anticipated individual participation.
. t2 T( x9 A5 p! r0 T, j7 t' |Maintains effective communication and good human relations with residents, families, volunteers and staff of other departments.
Is knowledgeable of the Resident Bill of Rights/Governing Principles and endeavors to promote it.
Participates in team conferences to plan, develop and assess individual resident care plans.
Qualifications
Must have a community college recreation certificate or diploma or equivalent, as approved by the Activation Manager. Experience working with seniors, particularly in a long term care setting.
3 j% h+ _# w- V; ZMust be able to communicate in written and verbal form and maintain an acceptable standard of behaviour and appearance.
Computer skills an asset.
" b6 ]5 T. W) `( P7 tAn energetic, compassionate person who enjoys working with the elderly and who possess excellent problem solving, planning and creative abilities.
Proficiency in a second language is an asset.
