' P5 }5 Z2 X7 O% S+ X1 dProvides nursing care in accordance with administrative policies, physicians’ orders, established standards and nursing principles.
Develops and maintains up to date individual resident care plans through interdisciplinary care conferences and care planning.
Maintains accurate and complete clinical records on all residents according to established documentation policies and procedures and ensures the confidentiality of these records
Ensures the recording and safe keeping of all drugs including controlled drugs and narcotics.
' z7 }1 ^1 Q0 N) h0 MOrders or reorders drugs and maintains an accurate record according to established procedure.
Administers medications according to correct procedure and ensures proper documentation is maintained.
Ensures orders are correctly processed, recorded and followed through according to established policies.
6 w7 ~* ~! O2 [4 VAssists the Director of Care in training, supervising and evaluating departmental nursing personnel. Takes an active leadership role in the department. Keeps the Director of Care informed on any staff members whose performance is less than satisfactory.
' _8 r! E! j6 ]0 M$ A8 gAssists the Director of Care in activities related to the Infection Control Program.
Participates in the multidisciplinary QE/RM responsibilities. Ensures resident satisfaction and continuous quality improvement initiatives are promoted.
, n  p- J+ L4 QIs knowledgeable of the Resident Bill of Rights/Governing Principles and endeavors to promote it.

Qualifications
A Registered Nurse with a current license from the applicable licensing authority.
) h# j: h/ V3 ^' ?Demonstrated leadership ability with comprehensive knowledge of nursing and health care practices and techniques as they relate to long term care. Maturity and good physical and mental health, empathy, patience and tact are important qualities to possess.
; p+ n. q! K" f2 U4 @3 i: oSeeks out opportunities to maintain competency and continued learning.
3 @/ G3 h3 F$ S) NProficiency in a second language is an asset.
