Position: Project Coordinator, Smart Choices.

- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
3 T' P' d' e4 w; u- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling, |3 ]; l: Q( i3 X9 n
- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
2 F( H" q; x% B/ h2 w. T" Q- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
- a" S- b6 H: t% S. {- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health8 s" c4 Y3 \- P

Key Qualifications:
# f- j: l, n- P& f3 f- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
6 [- h4 X2 T9 ~( U3 V5 C3 H, x- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
8 F3 J- O+ C- _3 x! a; W- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others. _; |) K4 m4 H% \
- Experience doing program development
4 c- k0 F1 S" ?; }- Strong organizational and coordination skills0 P( i3 k" g, q9 l" N1 k
- Self-directed and able to take initiative
7 a( o |( }* ]. [7 z9 m- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
2 S2 E( u& [" C9 V2 u- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license
% B6 Q9 E5 ?, O* {8 f. G1 y$ C- N- \4 g$ U( A/ O
! V% T/ w/ j7 i ~; a) oAssets:

- Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities& ?/ c/ H5 U+ [ Z8 B
- An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health
