Terms: Full-time (35 hours per week).
Compensation: Based on experience & qualifications.

3 t  w0 [% C+ \0 s3 ~+ i, G-        Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
-        Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
5 ?$ P: s% L: @: {-        Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
-        Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
-        Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health


Key Qualifications:
7 q8 e, q; n, `- ?# d-        Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
. u$ W7 R. m: ?* G-        At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
-        Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
-        Experience doing program development
/ e1 c) g' `$ F-        Strong organizational and coordination skills
  Q* `, s3 }* u, Y' W+ l-        Self-directed and able to take initiative
* ~) N& ]% N* Z" c-        Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
6 V' u" P+ h: r& q  v, Y( C-        Vehicle and valid drivers’ license


Assets:
# P2 n; B/ l. d& D0 X+ [-        Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation
-        Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities
-        An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health
2 t; x% A0 w* c3 w( B& o" f0 e-        Skills in marketing & promotions
# K0 l, ]% p9 w. \-        Some evening and weekend work may be required
