3 t w0 [% C+ \0 s3 ~+ i, G- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth" z0 Z$ m! R+ R- |- b, j
- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
5 ?$ P: s% L: @: {- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups& }- `' ^. t5 F% P6 g3 P
- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs; O: m D& w+ p. @! F* j! u% Z
- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health2 g% g) p2 k% F+ X+ d
& l! q( L& G, l& ?) `
; S& t0 ^# r6 {- z1 z" P# T
Key Qualifications:
7 q8 e, q; n, `- ?# d- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
. u$ W7 R. m: ?* G- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement# p. p1 T& B# v0 i3 x; r: S
- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others, o9 [/ K/ o9 N; s# [+ c: T# o7 _! W6 F
- Experience doing program development
/ e1 c) g' `$ F- Strong organizational and coordination skills
Q* `, s3 }* u, Y' W+ l- Self-directed and able to take initiative
* ~) N& ]% N* Z" c- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
6 V' u" P+ h: r& q v, Y( C- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license2 j+ J. H. N+ v% ?- C

- An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health
