Position: Project Coordinator, Smart Choices.
7 j$ l3 r5 A) H/ e5 zTerms: Full-time (35 hours per week).
Compensation: Based on experience & qualifications.

Responsibilities:
0 u" x& v# @, b# b+ ]& j& a/ {-        Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
-        Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
-        Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
-        Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
-        Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

. V; N) n: ^) s/ q-        Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
/ L1 R! m4 l8 k8 w9 `- C/ m4 t-        At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
7 Z6 U' T# s5 {, F) k; l; e-        Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
-        Experience doing program development
& n3 f  P- y. `% j5 n( f-        Strong organizational and coordination skills
-        Self-directed and able to take initiative
-        Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
9 `# U: @& q8 {( \! p& J9 g' x5 {3 h-        Vehicle and valid drivers’ license

Assets:
-        Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation
-        Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities
-        An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health

Other: The successful candidate will be required to undergo a police security check and child welfare check at their own expense.
