Position: Project Coordinator, Smart Choices.

- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth7 U- o% R2 A$ _
- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
1 K+ w& {, }6 k2 X5 \- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
, I- ~1 n3 F" {* B# c' {3 F- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs) Y% }' B) s# X F
- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

Key Qualifications:
# o4 o6 l! @$ ~! s- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences2 A# H: {% M2 M+ I* | \) U
- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
C6 a( Y$ F0 ~$ }1 ~5 X* k7 J- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others: n' p) s+ d' {" F
- Experience doing program development% l( R1 k6 f6 I7 M, e2 j
- Strong organizational and coordination skills" m! N' M9 m6 v( U' @; ^6 l3 M
- Self-directed and able to take initiative1 V; \7 x! i& h# S1 x& {' E
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset* X7 m7 C8 j {7 w4 z
- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license9 Z6 V3 n. S& g7 m x' y# F; m B( l

- Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities
