-        Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
-        Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
-        Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
-        Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
4 V6 d& l( M9 C. l- L0 m-        Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health


Key Qualifications:
-        Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
-        At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
-        Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
-        Experience doing program development
-        Strong organizational and coordination skills
-        Self-directed and able to take initiative
-        Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset

1 W( L6 f. @( t9 S" G/ a-        Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation
# a8 W/ w3 a$ C4 a-        Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities

' |5 r" X2 Q: H& k5 R-        Some evening and weekend work may be required
