To qualify for an Alberta Qualification Certificate based on work experience, a person must:) \& w% i' n. R
0 z. m( {5 q9 }" e" phave at least 8,775 hours and 72 months of ‘hands-on’ work experience as an electrician % x( J% M' H u' \$ X( ?; X7 Y& ?
Time spent on supervisory or foreman duties, counter work, heading the tool crib, or on a training course is NOT counted as ‘hands-on’ work experience.7 Z' G: m7 i4 }" D% p/ `9 F- _/ s( T
- U. O6 ]% a6 P: a! b: b, fcomplete the Qualification Certificate - Work Experience Application and submit it to an Apprenticeship and Industry Training Office

& B8 ~( u5 A& FThis application fee covers the verification and assessment of the applicant's work experience hours/months as well as one attempt at the Qualification Certificate theory examination.
