Position Title: Outreach Worker
! D5 ]) w" s( P4 D$ z9 H  t4 xHours of Work: Full time (35 hours per week)

Job Description
-        promote the Centre and ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
9 B% E3 d: d8 ~/ {! T2 `-        promote Centre and ISP programs  in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.
- o) D& J3 i+ I7 N; v-        develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP and Centre
+ o% A' |1 l5 \% w& d9 y- z-        recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members
-        promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
-        outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
) @5 O& o) L4 x-        attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants
-        adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals
) x. D9 b  y2 C% b' G3 E-        report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.
-        recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities
-        assist with front counter services as needed and assigned
9 ~6 V: l( H& ^$ H& H7 Z1 F-        other duties as assigned

Qualifications
2 c$ l9 c" y& z; M0 X# Q-        degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered
-        knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available
-        good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software
-        fluent in English and Chinese

0 H/ N& \0 ]& O3 Q& e' v-        valid driver’s license
