Position Overview  
" i3 q8 V( j' B# b The Field Operator is responsible for monitoring production in field locations surrounding the Balzac Gas Plant facility (10 minutes north of the Calgary city limits; 30 km from the downtown core). This position works a 35 day shift rotation, which includes 12 hour days/nights and 9 hour training days. This role is bound by the terms of the Collective Agreement (Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Local 773).
7 U; k  r" X' Q$ V; v9 J+ LJob Duties/Responsibilities  
-  Display competency with operations procedures checklists and critical procedures;
-  Provide day to day control of producing wells, pipelines and associated production equipment;
; S! n- h/ w- K: \3 k-  Make and carry out recommendations to maximize production, minimize operating costs and eliminate downtime;
-  Ensure all field related activities are completed safely, on schedule and in an environmentally safe and cost effective manner;
9 _) C5 Z9 O/ Y-  Comply with all EH&S, Corporate and Regulatory rules and procedures. Report any unacceptable conditions and incidents;
& J  t6 T% h- ?( |) B) n-  Work in a team-oriented atmosphere and contribute to the ongoing success of the Balzac Complex;

Education/Experience  
: Y% H0 n5 l  V7 H - Grade 12 diploma or equivalent in training and experience;
6 D. Y% E. f4 I2 h# `0 }2 [-  Minimum of 3 years' related experience operating sour gas wells, pipelines and compressors;
- P( u8 ]' C8 z2 \0 w9 A-  Current H2S Alive certification or equivalent;
- r* g' u! E, I+ w-  Dependable, organized and self motivated;
4 ~* q8 l, ~9 D& D! a-  Strong initiative and problem solving skills;
+ t% j0 I/ u/ [. ?9 c, n! N5 ?-  A willingness and ability to work in outdoor conditions.
