THE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM:

This fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
" H8 Q9 P* U+ N8 A4 n/ MEligibility Criteria
. V  m1 j% U" d7 ~3 @All potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
8 ~+ y) D" k) r•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
. z1 ?9 F: s9 I2 J' w( q& f•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
8 J: z8 a/ n: |, h0 J' ~•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
1 h+ Q6 m6 R4 L, b1 Q•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less
•Be eligible to work in Canada
( Z4 x/ V9 S4 o•Have a job ready resume and have completed a job search workshop

•Be motivated to participate and be open to learning
Time Commitment
, i; T& p* K9 R) W9 hThe maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
