24 HOURS OVER 4 MONTHS
" K" D' ?9 |! e6 P* v( `1 j8 A: u+ f, pThis fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
Eligibility Criteria
All potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
# c3 ^2 x7 P5 A•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
' G6 n( t1 b' W  Y6 [% N•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
8 n: E1 J' k0 N4 r+ N0 s•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
. P% `7 S! P; `& y; ^. H( m9 X' d•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
, k0 b# L2 ^' U•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less
$ v6 ~7 W$ Y% G, Z9 {•Be eligible to work in Canada
•Have a job ready resume and have completed a job search workshop

•Be motivated to participate and be open to learning

The maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
