( l3 d. h" q8 H; k6 [: n% ~THE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM:
24 HOURS OVER 4 MONTHS
This fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
, Z8 I7 x6 Z; |; r$ J- Q! ?: C% R7 fEligibility Criteria
All potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
! A" e, |. x3 t! k$ b* ^•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less

•Lack access to professional networks

, _- V9 o, d6 N) ~( H! v4 sThe maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
