Police Service Preparation Program

This program is for immigrants and members of visible minorities who have an interest in a career in law enforcement.

9 V$ [% y# {6 }  K/ j( e) D& h) N7 {Start date: November 2, 2009 End date: March 31, 2010.
Programs run from Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:00pm

8 E* M2 i- t# }" uEntrance Criteria
You must be/have:
1 x1 H$ p2 u# l5 ]$ x: Y• Alberta High School Diploma (or equivalent)
• Unemployed or underemployed
/ G& U2 @# {8 R& V1 s" J2 F4 A• Minimum 18 years of age
) b3 c  ?5 j! t% \0 ?5 [• Good moral character
/ g! L" i, g3 L& p, S) l• Good health and physical condition
• Good written and verbal communication skills – must be at a CLB 6+
8 M" i# v5 i9 k' k3 K; ]! C1 q: I: `4 F• Must possess a valid class 5 driver’s license
• No criminal convictions for which a pardon has not been granted

• Citizenship documents: Permanent Resident Card or recent Canadian
