CHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.

• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.$ H3 A- Z$ Q" O, R* Z u8 m

; ^- Z" f6 ?2 a2 L! i3 Y+ {• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.

• Manage office technology software licensing and hardware maintenance.

• Maintain organizational calendar of events, meeting coordination and up to date membership lists of committees and groups., ?% d! V5 P6 z. e9 L0 E

• Manage all CFCA administrative communications such as liaising with financial institutions, service providers etc. related to administrative management.+ \; b: H, ~* M) U6 t. ?- G0 [1 _

• Manage mail outs for fund development or education purposes with support of Program Managers.% S# t3 `* p" t: I6 i* k/ U

$ Y L9 ~3 y# f$ f6 D• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.6 L. n$ M+ `+ r' |+ V, i% \, \% X

• Compile information packages for fundraising and promotional purposes.

• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.

& \* q( m7 ?9 T• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions

% Y: S/ g; t1 x6 t! v$ x$ h% D• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.

• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.
