Events and Volunteer Committees, this position will be responsible to:

Duties: Special Events
9 k% k+ \: x/ n/ _! Y! iPlan, implement and evaluate Special Events:
* L9 A2 }) g$ q+ d· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee
" j* t5 y( J# Z2 o. J6 `$ }) B: A· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist 6 \& H6 a+ d: r! b2 ?% `4 O2 X; g
with decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the 0 d! u8 t' c0 Y- f8 T
advertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure
3 U% y4 q2 p8 S- `set-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events.

; J* w5 Y# w( @: L: n7 i4 ^· Attend and take minutes for Special Events Committee

Assist in developing and implementing a volunteer program: ; ?- D0 n; l. h4 q g1 q2 W4 m
· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions + i+ j* d1 G2 o, O- T5 |: u
· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers
. s2 n- J# W4 C- n6 L8 u k· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers
& {$ }* o! i: t7 P" s/ _0 S· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers
' d! ]& A6 K; U& O) p) B· Complete program administration, statistics and records

Qualifications:
2 k0 _- P! M$ J9 r. ]& x4 i+ v· Completion of 12th; i' D' R0 g, l/ R! k7 W
Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation 5 y5 h0 c. m, a/ F' n# I5 n# f
Administration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent.
. m( A4 \& a. _$ m# g· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct
/ g' v9 X; ^: y4 }. Oexperience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events
7 l/ v) }' F# l+ T· Experience working with and managing volunteers
6 w: j: Z, P3 b* |2 k· Specialized skills and training in working with seniors
+ P2 ~" t0 K9 I" j1 v- F% O1 `· Ability to instruct, organize and supervise group activities and special events
7 {0 E, |+ k1 b. A" y6 q· Current Standard First Aid, CPR & AED training 0 U' n# e; o9 @" `
· Security Clearance 6 R+ d& }! a Z. I9 Q6 D
