* C' i3 O6 t+ h% ~+ h* lEvents and Volunteer Committees, this position will be responsible to:

6 A8 C5 Z& R) p3 |8 JPlan, implement and evaluate Special Events: + N) l7 J+ i/ H' W
· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee
8 }% C" }7 e4 A0 s+ w- Q· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist 2 t$ X) D" H6 F0 h) Q) f
with decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the
$ Q) A4 F/ F4 U; {4 [advertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure 6 g2 C/ {) A3 H! S2 D% ]
set-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events.

· Attend and take minutes for Special Events Committee

Assist in developing and implementing a volunteer program:
: M1 x% ]2 b* M) h! {· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions & c, g, r7 x, q5 u# H: v7 i6 C
· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers
3 @3 m/ [ b' n9 I1 H2 D& [9 P! W· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers 5 Y1 j8 D0 z4 r( I# i
· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers
8 F/ W: Z8 E) J7 M· Complete program administration, statistics and records 1 j) V+ Q2 l3 _( \* u6 H
& P8 }8 Q9 c% s6 N4 _Qualifications: / c2 y( ?% Q% a/ J) m6 r7 z7 t
· Completion of 12th
9 S9 M( H$ ]$ t+ P$ Z2 \8 @ Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation
) `- @1 y g0 J4 y3 ?, c O* N2 @Administration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent.
- ^6 Y* {4 b# j+ D: t7 Y# u· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct |/ O$ }0 O! N4 `, I/ F
experience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events

· Ability to instruct, organize and supervise group activities and special events

· Security Clearance

Wages: $16 - $20/hour depending on qualifications
