Plan, implement and evaluate Special Events: 4 ?+ Q4 }# R0 L) r6 i- L
· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee 1 Y$ C# \2 z# H8 Q. j( y% W# u6 D
· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist , H4 [8 K$ _+ n: e9 y
with decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the
/ S1 s9 K+ i0 _# h0 A1 Jadvertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure
2 |3 U- \, i4 v- P" b7 Dset-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events.

Duties: Volunteer Coordination . j1 ]2 [' ~. [7 Q
Assist in developing and implementing a volunteer program: & q8 l- Y, o7 e9 a6 {$ E- Z6 y
· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions
) l, p/ U, P1 m· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers 4 X. x( A, F: K( l% {/ s& `$ [
· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers
" a: C: u9 `3 ~3 g· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers * O W/ C! j1 q% c' j/ J
· Complete program administration, statistics and records 2 f3 ~6 d& K$ N$ ?
; @3 l+ V7 l% W/ p( xQualifications:
9 {' |/ T$ }8 N) f· Completion of 12th8 |9 y8 p8 V& o
Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation # h& K* E# W& k- K" y7 [- ~
Administration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent. , W- C+ F/ H" i6 T6 d/ Y8 J, b3 h1 v
· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct : y v( R8 C+ p' |
experience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events
\* u, o' ~! k/ E3 y" R& L· Experience working with and managing volunteers 1 r! s( Q# Z; d6 Q4 E$ ~
· Specialized skills and training in working with seniors ! d7 R8 S" X& D" h( v
· Ability to instruct, organize and supervise group activities and special events
