The Sensors Engineering Business Unit (SENG) is involved in the development of customized measurement technologies for process control applications. Our customers are primarily in the oil sands, petroleum, pulp and paper, and mining industries. ; w* M: J- S+ _5 R3 s+ o7 K, w

We are looking for an Administrative Assistant to perform the following responsibilities:: l; ~" C& K) I: J7 {, P0 v
+ m q' [4 L: j9 y: d& ^% n KSupport the safety reps in the Business Unit
$ W5 |: H# K& S' ^8 [, aMaintain group calendars and internal scheduling using Outlook software
2 S `+ W. z1 A$ RPrepare travel arrangements and expense claims
- L! Z8 a7 X! Z2 M; a( S- SCompile and create presentations, proposals, reports and templates using Word, Excel and PowerPoint software
- j& Q) D& v) ]4 w; A) s6 DCoordinate trade shows including booking, shipping and manning booth
7 p% Z8 Z ~* d/ M8 B, DOrder office supplies and maintaining office equipment
4 |8 j# V2 z* `) DReimburse and reconcile statements as Petty Cash Custodian
4 m. U& ?: k9 ARecords management duties
+ x% Q) V, ?* _" b$ uApprove timesheets
% q8 I: B+ G) T# R( S5 KMaintain and update reference libraries in Endnote software ' @" j; K) _. X" j) v! R4 N/ q. C
Other tasks as deemed necessary by the business unit+ E7 i' q# D Q! X
; H/ }! d. i; F$ s4 ^, P: NRecords management is an integral part of the job. The incumbent will coordinate records classification, coding, indexing, retention and disposition, and data entry into the Records Management database. ) q. N% l4 ~. f

Candidates require a certificate or diploma from a recognized post secondary administrative program, experience in an office environment, and strong organizational and communication skills. A combination of experience and education may be considered. Additional course work and experience in records management is an asset. , p) h8 A( \; p( q
( R+ _, m$ E$ T2 V# n2 TThis is a six (6) month contract with possibility of extension. Wage will commensurate with qualifications and experience. This position is included in the bargaining unit. Final candidates for this position will be asked to undergo a security screening.
