The YWCA is recruiting a Receptionist. The Front Desk is the central point for internal and external communications for all departments, programs and events. A sound understanding of overall activity of the agency is essential. This is a position that requires strong customer service skills, as it works collaboratively with staff and volunteers to provide the best possible information and assistance.. i: X( Q" ?( J% f) Y

• Arrange courier services for all departments E9 w2 E, u9 `; {: [7 c; J
• Oversee Y-Knit program; provide support to its volunteers2 O, U0 k* |" E8 O/ b1 w

6 g E" |2 Q' f" i, a4 x• Receive sort and distribute mail and packages; post outgoing mail

• Provide clerical support (e.g. word processing, data entry, photocopying, faxing, e-mailing, printing labels, mail-outs, and filing) to all departments of the agency
, U6 V+ n' p9 c/ I5 q4 p2 f2 y• Update and maintain databases as assigned, including those for Fund Development and Administration; ?4 i9 ?1 B4 L% o) L, |
• Assist with task management for administrative volunteers ) e7 h" {4 W: r% f) i7 q" B
• Create monthly staff bulletin and prepare for distribution

7 V/ Q5 g- E+ h) s% N• Minimum 2 years office experience in areas related to office reception, and office procedures
7 J5 d% Z) Y; j& a& t) p• Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.1 {0 `5 Y7 n. I( |8 ~! {0 K% J7 l
• Skill in Desktop publishing is an asset: P# r: s* x4 k1 {- K
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills , D. \+ i6 D& K3 [9 D
• Mindful of need for accuracy, detail and discretion
