Receptionist

The YWCA is recruiting a Receptionist. The Front Desk is the central point for internal and external communications for all departments, programs and events. A sound understanding of overall activity of the agency is essential. This is a position that requires strong customer service skills, as it works collaboratively with staff and volunteers to provide the best possible information and assistance.

. V- @' X+ f) ^# | K2 k' J+ T• Answer multi line telephone system
( ]' ^0 Q# \& i0 k• Receive and distribute mail and deliveries

u6 O" [! e0 p• Oversee Y-Knit program; provide support to its volunteers( a! ^! K7 a9 \1 {# n0 `3 B

• Receive sort and distribute mail and packages; post outgoing mail
. c! ?/ v W6 W7 J' V• Sort and distribute mail and deliveries% R: q0 {( N8 z }8 i) ~
• Provide clerical support (e.g. word processing, data entry, photocopying, faxing, e-mailing, printing labels, mail-outs, and filing) to all departments of the agency ' p1 H; T5 G" V5 X! U
• Update and maintain databases as assigned, including those for Fund Development and Administration: `9 V' |/ Q7 W: E
• Assist with task management for administrative volunteers

• Assist Business department with weekly bank deposit and processing payments

• Accept and process registrations for participants or attendees at various special events and staff training& Z# E. K1 k1 e0 B
• Process payments for ticket orders and registrations, e/ N$ v) Q# |) v: j5 ?
• Assist YoWoChAs Outdoor Education Registration as required0 m# X# z4 }5 q

• Minimum 2 years office experience in areas related to office reception, and office procedures
) r6 o& h$ b, E$ l8 t9 @# `" u• Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.& ^6 x2 c" x: B/ Q; K
• Skill in Desktop publishing is an asset
\- `+ h4 C1 ]. i7 x• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
