For example, they built a deck without a permit; fence was not exactly built on the property line. In such case, the seller can't provide a RPR that will satisfy the buyer's lawyer. IMO, it's no big deal without a RPR because you can apply for a permit and rebuild the deck if you want. For the fence, if you and your neighbor agree with the AS IS situation, I don't see a problem, however the lawyer would not agree with me. The more work they did for you, the more they charged you. |
