Summer Children’s Fitness Program Co-ordinator
Responsibilities:
/ x3 I, s2 S9 t& ~2 H# x* a$ @- Organize focus group(s)
- Organize and facilitate summer children’s program (ages 6 to 10) with focus on physical recreation, fitness, nutrition, sports
- Recruit children for summer program
8 {" W) L8 ^8 r% `: |# B9 ?5 N- Provide orientation for parents
& b$ _, z+ f% b% L- Find sponsors to enhance program
1 B$ p+ P/ x; I% E$ n; e- Supervise volunteer(s)
- Prepare final report for funding agency

# Y1 _9 D. R' T0 ^, T( V& ^& QQualifications:

- post secondary student in Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
9 b# O+ f4 q& L+ s, j- good coordinating and interpersonal skills
5 ?- Q: L+ Q" A' F3 y- communication skills
- must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
- fluency in English, other Asian languages an asset
; Q8 [  m( w; }9 J; ]4 H' {% N: G- good computer skills
- leadership abilities
. ^5 }  A7 y8 |, }- ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Salary

- $10.50/hr for 30 hours/week, June 1 to August 31, 2005
