support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern L x3 T1 H7 N' \
Alberta.

' h$ o$ e5 w; D \6 R5 oand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a

screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
: M8 w0 x6 n1 g3 G6 ]5 UFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as # R; @- Z0 \' ~+ c2 [) X
well as the script, magazine and book library. ' }5 V& R, r5 W4 D
* g5 B9 e6 Y: }. ]& pDuties: ( w* Z" M W& n" ~
- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
5 B6 V# v$ w g' F1 ^! \5 [9 z! r- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
9 z5 B5 r! h2 I- Implement a catalogue template for future use
# p& Q7 t+ R& }1 W% v. h- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
, u8 d- b8 ~; M$ P- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-
5 i9 u; W! h. ]% r' v3 hsecondary training, university preferred

- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks * z) _- W6 A# b' L1 z9 I/ }

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts ! y! i6 @' a9 l7 ^2 f k/ S% d0 _
- Strong organizational skills * D q7 ?8 w1 ?' S* x! t
- Experience or training in library sciences preferred . `- l! H' r6 O8 j5 s
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
