FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the

support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern " }! S# _, u$ ^* O; m2 q0 _

emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video * i2 B, |7 F2 x, q% u
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a + O5 m% E- Y" Y
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
! _; L' {! {9 l! xscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

9 C! n0 _6 i. UJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the # G; l. m+ U* E1 R2 l; o8 J
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as

Duties: 4 n7 v; U5 @8 i% ~
- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library , `. s) d; G5 r, E
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
) L" ?# s9 P! b1 S- Implement a catalogue template for future use
5 t+ \) j5 y% A* q0 s: x8 W6 P) X; f8 a- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
' q/ s! i# I6 \ B& w6 q9 T2 v- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks

- Strong organizational skills

- Strong team player abilities
