FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from - w% g- D3 v" b8 u$ ~1 r

and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a ' P7 @- W J% v4 ]& P4 X
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
$ w% E6 w+ X; Uscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern v+ [0 g, F K; k: k8 Y
Alberta.

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the " ~5 n* U, v- o. W. K! u
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
! w; o/ U0 e% b8 q6 \2 `, T, ]well as the script, magazine and book library. 6 ?6 ?. S; B w& C

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library 5 I9 q9 e% U' \$ D1 W5 Q" ?
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
# ]) J0 C9 R: H$ I- Implement a catalogue template for future use ( [% m' m9 A1 C& q z/ \: X
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure 5 P1 T0 F. d! O# m9 e& {
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable 7 o" w: |2 F6 [1 s

- Funding for this position is provided by the Summer Temporary Employment Program % P. J3 ~6 r0 n) d

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: , a+ H1 p" l+ E L' k, R
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts

- Experience or training in library sciences preferred 3 Y+ C+ ` J; |2 u0 b2 I
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
