summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
! S9 ~ L. Q% demerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video " M+ M( X! s. ~) L
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
% S7 y, n! r. y+ B3 Yresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and 3 {2 N8 _1 O3 k1 l% l, V8 Q
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern / i, ^7 C4 q; r6 X2 X

FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as . m/ s9 b% q; p- y- R) I
well as the script, magazine and book library. * L3 y! f; Y5 Z h: W# y2 `

Duties:
; g3 c$ ^" b: _& N7 C2 B/ j- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library 8 z1 c8 K1 @# J( D: ?; U9 `: a0 T& \
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
8 P% ^ s- u: E" k+ c# F- Implement a catalogue template for future use 8 @% [ e3 C; u) G5 O7 }8 v4 c- ? W
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure 6 f! W) d( e# J+ D
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week 3 G) M$ b$ q1 T6 y
- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
9 _! k, r6 H" c5 Z% V9 n6 q+ F: Z- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
: L0 {9 o7 t6 T, \; |/ T2 {- Strong organizational skills
/ _7 @7 A1 `' i% o- w# V6 \- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
- Z! H: I* G. e5 {- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal

- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors 9 T6 P+ U% K9 D/ J1 C! K
