support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

* e/ v8 l9 }. L7 e% G; f& m( bemerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
! ~) \' g6 e% G6 Nand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a 0 s5 W t. u% `
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
# R% `" R" L, f3 O8 yscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the * w6 p9 e p, G" f& L' x2 m: W
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
4 O5 \- T& A* \* swell as the script, magazine and book library. " \! ?# L. G' W# q

Duties: 9 R$ _7 h- L, \. E
- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library 4 k2 V3 L* z1 T& Z
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
~4 ~0 o7 H; Y4 i! ]" u6 a) ~- Implement a catalogue template for future use
5 k: @- m: W! E' z- O- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure + @1 ?4 f7 n& W. ? {6 q+ C
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable 4 N- Z* a& X/ ~/ P* G

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
- L! c/ G$ A# V* z- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts 1 v: \) U% Q. X8 C# M$ @
- Strong organizational skills
( h8 G" a& i1 q( p: e4 q' c$ q- Experience or training in library sciences preferred # ^4 z1 I- r4 s1 e; l/ O
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal U( u1 z$ T: t( J* X, A
- Strong team player abilities 7 W* O4 V7 t# S6 t# F- O" z
- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
