summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to

+ n8 h; q- y4 l- d# U) g8 Kand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a ; A: d% G" E- M8 T7 Y

screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

% c+ r' |8 L7 C1 K0 c! OJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
, {# v. a! F$ e( ^FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
; v" F. E2 y5 d/ j/ Nwell as the script, magazine and book library. + U b4 J- G" [( c* j, R$ W _1 U

Duties:
" n1 X5 T `! w$ ?- O; x- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
6 g$ J( \, s$ b- j3 E t2 {- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books 9 L9 J# d _$ V! p
- Implement a catalogue template for future use + k5 j% u5 T; H! |$ I/ K
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure # m2 ?& r2 c7 Z. Z$ n. `
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

secondary training, university preferred

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: % @# a7 O5 w; Y
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts 0 ?# ]% `1 g# l. z! X+ D4 i8 ]: I
- Strong organizational skills 1 ^8 L# Q# x2 T R) T1 k- W
- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
