FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from - V& W# ?$ G& v

and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a % w9 f: W& V, B3 t! Q7 k
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the & c: `/ H& B" W
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as 7 i0 F$ M/ | Z
well as the script, magazine and book library.

Duties: ' R, W Y- n# z7 A' g" \% t5 T; W
- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
2 N# K& @4 G5 Z# j0 X P3 P8 h- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books . t6 {# }' V" O0 ]2 S
- Implement a catalogue template for future use : T3 O7 A2 \/ }1 e6 n
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
2 j6 d/ |- ?. f- B( B8 H0 @- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-& Q5 v. ~) G* j9 A
secondary training, university preferred

- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks

- Strong organizational skills
3 v) I5 b+ D4 o) I+ K5 ]- s- Experience or training in library sciences preferred ( @6 W0 N9 Y" T( X% n5 _$ S4 Y h
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal - ?5 F: b. H1 k& u1 ^
- Strong team player abilities - ^, w: g; E/ @% n
- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors ' O3 B# l* s. [' h3 Y# C
