summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to
6 e: V- E0 c9 a: O6 s8 T% xsupport the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern ! s" O1 N& b' m8 |- N

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
# u9 b$ g' |% E$ |emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video ( }& l1 B7 W5 v; p; I4 E9 W
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a 5 A+ M4 N1 y6 d2 }
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
$ t( f- @) V0 z IFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as " ~7 B# k' n) P( {, U1 C
well as the script, magazine and book library. ]1 T/ F9 D. L! F; K: i
8 V+ h- n9 \; t# GDuties:
, U1 \3 {: M( d5 I6 A% N* L- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
- d U& q0 U0 w6 B. z- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books ! Z5 @+ m5 g: D% n7 t3 V
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
( X- Y9 x3 R ?0 {8 P0 ?' [, T- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
8 S2 E: V6 `' k# M ?$ q- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable ( x3 U5 o) a/ U1 _# Q. f1 E4 m3 o

- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts a9 w* S0 w, {" p; ~0 s" h
- Strong organizational skills

- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal ' a! L( R4 j: F" G
