summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from r8 a j( n1 Q' [% S3 `
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
) ^2 W2 R& X1 e8 Wand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
- f- U/ W+ h& M. aresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and 4 F% g0 h$ F# w0 @
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern + \2 @, g4 n3 H9 ~6 {( n4 t

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
/ u! ]4 ~* W: Q/ A. l: }! a" gFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as # E' E. X4 V) u, b) O
well as the script, magazine and book library. & q5 n. W: @! E/ g

4 a# U+ @# d+ x- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library 0 l+ Q- b8 h) i
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books " i& |( e+ w4 r
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
% E* H+ a% Y* S' h# n- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
/ {& {/ E) O7 X* s- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

secondary training, university preferred

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: " g0 P8 G) i" w& i! l( ]
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts

- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
