" A3 M" `/ a9 D2 R4 Zsummer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to 9 T" z- o, E7 i& G( g
support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern
' Z. k% j/ \! w8 WAlberta.

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
6 p9 C0 [- T" H- P Remerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video . ?+ S5 z! X4 G* U# W! g
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
5 H w4 @$ T0 \ g0 A" Tresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
3 G5 n! u* K1 v# T4 ~( ^screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the # N% ?/ y6 G" C7 S& c
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as $ y" S3 q) n5 `
well as the script, magazine and book library. " B( f2 S1 A F, W8 X

c1 Y, @0 C+ [' D! z- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
4 ]& j( g z$ k5 r P4 b- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books 7 l5 t6 g7 b4 m/ G' y2 N( |/ x
- Implement a catalogue template for future use - B: p9 z- ^* k9 a
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure 9 |, U+ l$ m! G& [7 Q
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

secondary training, university preferred

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts % ` L' O' P4 J4 h" X
- Strong organizational skills
: A L" P8 p8 L2 i- Experience or training in library sciences preferred t: @- z Q( O6 @3 K3 L
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal

- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
