2 Q, g/ Q6 i4 EFAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the 5 e; X2 f, m; i+ W7 D# j9 c% W
summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to 1 b" @2 p3 o# j5 K
support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
' [& f1 X9 q) U" ?% S4 Femerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video . E$ @$ {; k. Z1 B: z
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a , X0 z8 F0 ^# d& `
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

Alberta.

F) o3 j2 r! ]( [/ O) TJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the & y& P4 P3 r' q; Q8 Y# h& B
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as " Z8 y# g0 j8 v2 w
well as the script, magazine and book library. " m% @& Y4 Q" l, N" R! _" N: A

g* n& [2 J1 s- @+ |& j i# e- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
& i2 [5 G a$ o- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
1 n/ E3 E* i# K9 ]& B- Implement a catalogue template for future use
+ g2 w, t7 q" E/ D4 u! R- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure 9 S A9 a7 n* K2 B' X8 D' c1 H
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable / j f9 r' g3 B. c/ j" ]

- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: ( X' }& ]2 X7 u' D/ k8 v
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts 0 ^8 _; s0 @" l* i
- Strong organizational skills
Y( a) Y1 c+ c0 h- U) k- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
