FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
$ V. q6 I; o; G' N1 I/ ^emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
& V* X5 L! `" ^( [) S; }and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a ( V) Z6 D( ? n$ z& Z
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and 3 g$ H* ^) ~7 T, K% h- ]
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the # R( D9 R" a, N
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as 1 G- b; w+ C9 Y2 Y
well as the script, magazine and book library. . K9 ^& n- i L$ ~) d3 H5 f

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
2 Y4 z/ M( \+ Y, h- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books 0 s9 A- j, h! r* P) E
- Implement a catalogue template for future use ( e# K( h$ \. g+ r, a% B! ]
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
/ J9 T! l; O ]# z- y- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable # W+ {$ F/ T# t/ }# U

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: 5 O& z1 |6 S7 E: z! U( l" _+ S
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts ! b" q" o" }! e$ ?% V" C( F4 H9 F
- Strong organizational skills 8 x) n0 O9 v. K: R& ^- p+ g
- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
7 V5 g6 R0 j+ f) n! Q3 A+ d- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
