FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the _( [% R8 l3 u$ v- L: Z! @

support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the ) F3 i& g. V+ X# s& e) g, v
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
/ x4 L9 F8 W3 G: F! Vwell as the script, magazine and book library. 9 N3 Q( [4 a5 o6 z1 B- b4 ]

Duties:
5 L* u0 C7 a# m. S% L& P) k- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library ' G( x& U4 |2 f1 e, H+ X
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books ) r- {. `. @6 U r ?1 l
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
( [% { E3 h4 S' ^( d- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
" i3 x8 N: J6 U6 B- l5 ~- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-5 }0 ~9 s8 X* {
secondary training, university preferred

- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts " A" X3 @6 q2 K( [# @* k
- Strong organizational skills
' u* y- V1 A: o- ~ q- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
; P0 j5 ]/ G7 ]- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal ' G1 p! Y( N& [1 F! Y

- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
