FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the
+ g* }) n8 _, T/ g& ~" bsummer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to
! m; w+ ~' j' O! isupport the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern " Z1 V) `8 B* _
Alberta.

; {5 S" \7 X$ t/ k. R+ }7 CFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
% T9 C% W: l" H* N0 a& V# z4 p- Gemerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video ! J H J, Z5 d" G" z* [3 R
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
3 T$ s, l9 w tresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
% M# }- n% e: P; K' v) nscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
1 P$ f& y% r' ?0 f xFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as & z) U4 |2 ~! \
well as the script, magazine and book library.

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library 9 O! u0 l! A5 ? c
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books 1 ]" k0 @8 z0 s) `- N$ D
- Implement a catalogue template for future use 1 z/ @8 t) O$ {# r1 U6 r5 P8 P
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure 8 ]9 `! N5 k2 v/ u* ^% c
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable
