FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the

support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern $ b: K0 {. t" Y0 b8 ?% S

) A6 @4 C( E+ k7 j/ eFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from / M/ {: Y3 A& f- ^! c
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
8 B/ Q/ h w3 G# T% T8 ]and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a - I0 U5 f v% _) W
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
0 M" \/ ~$ r3 m; i; K9 dscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
5 x2 h# N5 A; t ~& MFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as & A, F& i" m4 J, S" H
well as the script, magazine and book library.

Duties: e. V2 i( N# x
- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library 6 F7 p' B# A4 U8 d
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
7 u( y( U- Y# |- Implement a catalogue template for future use ) N4 x& L" i' {9 l/ j
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure 1 u9 r2 R( V8 S* N
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

secondary training, university preferred

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts + ], f' C4 C0 f
- Strong organizational skills
} }% _. O, C9 ~* |- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
