FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the % H3 I$ D7 ]& o: ]: r
summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to

emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
! ^+ S( X1 u; w% y6 ~+ j5 Aand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a 7 Z8 J3 g- f. I n
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and , K9 {! ], y& t& `- N* D) P
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern - o: Q# I1 z' T
Alberta.

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the ; {5 ?! l* E& g/ q. h7 G
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as

Duties:
7 I6 O- a% q1 t( w& |" H p' }! S- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library $ t- T! b7 N. ?8 C8 K2 C$ W
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
. L l* G. T3 r- n2 e( C, I- Implement a catalogue template for future use : K# B. N' [. y/ f; Y% _
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure ! K, W/ s" C7 \" L( [
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable " X: j9 X4 U4 _6 R7 w6 e1 A7 T8 J

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
