FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the

support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern u* U, C; k' V8 n) r; ^. h

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from

and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a

screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern 1 K+ @# Y1 J8 w, ?+ i# J* g. X! i

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the / D0 q O5 }, @- D) _/ b- X
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as

& h O I' K% @5 N& ]- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
/ A2 }7 r& g' o5 N- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
; R7 g( |8 ~& r! Q+ t5 m8 J4 v4 q- Implement a catalogue template for future use 4 U" W: |5 k/ P0 K, p: u* F
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
" c8 b' |- s1 I5 f8 r& Z) l# w: n- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable 5 [* A& D# r" q& ]& @! x: v/ `

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:

- Experience or training in library sciences preferred " w2 B# U! Q. h& J E
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
