support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern 4 O i- n9 v, `

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
# Q/ `, O: d: V+ bemerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
. R! U+ W: P8 O( _and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a ) j0 Q* y" b" m; I
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and 9 _: M. N; e/ z: v
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the 7 \2 n8 p3 |& l* L
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
g3 C. G3 m8 a/ N# j* Mwell as the script, magazine and book library.

Duties: 5 t+ I& D3 |. J5 `
- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library 2 d0 @( Y; p) y( B1 r
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books & k( o6 q0 A: I, z# H
- Implement a catalogue template for future use 9 w* @9 ]: O) O0 Z4 D3 b2 N
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure , M- w6 s+ E" v9 E/ z
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable 8 u4 b- r$ D! w% ?5 S$ p1 b" \

- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: 3 a7 E+ d/ B4 _2 W: K4 `/ i. N( ]
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts ) L/ e3 C$ |/ q
- Strong organizational skills
6 X, {- S% y: |- }# m- Experience or training in library sciences preferred 2 z/ F- a) @0 r8 w4 k( f
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal " O9 k" r+ @; F6 G( b- s
- Strong team player abilities 7 A5 x( r+ o4 E
- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
