: [* K% i" p" z$ bFAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the
% n T' U- z/ Tsummer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to " P% h3 W3 N" f
support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern : J b0 F; K. r" V* \3 ^& l* a
Alberta.

% S/ I& L P$ v$ dFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
( i1 h ~9 x, w0 k5 nemerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video " a7 r$ E7 g% W6 L o4 w5 x
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
# t/ a! V5 a! e) r- ^/ ^resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
5 O3 c4 g# x7 [9 |screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

& d& s" S x* [; }: cJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
, w/ D& U3 P2 }5 CFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
+ ^ Q6 w6 Z' w0 ?' Owell as the script, magazine and book library.

Duties:
6 D/ I1 D; Y( w a0 P- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library ) c. Z& B4 T2 H. f; `; W
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books $ T7 V; D+ S" j% J" q- Z
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
& q8 Y' D M! O- F9 V1 s' N- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
. L, @* i# v ^3 q7 a' G- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks

- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
