FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the % B$ h+ o+ z0 J1 K, V
summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to
9 `4 _0 A: s8 e/ I6 Msupport the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern ' {9 X' t# }# x' e( m0 @

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
) M9 u; N0 @' }2 g$ Remerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
B' U( ~" W1 _and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a

screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern + f* j0 c \% A: x

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
) Q% ~2 b! C3 A& O, L1 @FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as ( Y, {3 }8 g/ Z) N
well as the script, magazine and book library.

Duties:
7 [* F+ e$ O' {: J' |" K3 b- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
* a4 C2 t" v2 {" b- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books 0 l; D9 w1 ~9 ~0 H/ s5 l
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
6 i7 {% c/ Q2 i3 k- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
) Z% X. c7 U( a. v5 \. U" W/ K- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-

- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
