FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the
- d- P Z% P! Q6 m/ bsummer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to 6 y* E9 j+ g1 N" N+ p6 e
support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern - _% J- K8 K R' _- y; I

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from 4 R* r2 \' {$ v/ }: l. q3 B
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video , X# n/ n' ^ m
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
& k0 E8 Q6 Q. a% s0 M4 W# Nresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and # f+ a3 ?6 P+ ~1 C# J/ | v+ Y
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern 1 G, b2 ~. ~) R: k* K

FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as * l( t8 F$ e, o; W b3 P% F
well as the script, magazine and book library. 3 ~8 V9 _* @5 O) E
/ C) h- T @! A4 E. g* W, _Duties:
: l4 v1 Q7 Y$ D2 E2 K* z3 d" X- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library + }4 B0 }6 @( {& {. N
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
" [8 @4 h0 ]4 P3 x( v7 K- Implement a catalogue template for future use
# [ t% [5 f+ R- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
8 G$ C7 [, ]5 Q7 K5 T1 u. }/ {- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable 8 _/ u- L- b/ g! P

' v, I" h4 f+ P% y. f- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
1 N) ^' \8 C S9 b# [- Strong organizational skills
. g% F2 @5 P+ B3 _- s$ @- Experience or training in library sciences preferred

- Strong team player abilities
