summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to $ t: G/ Q& N; }$ o7 u% G
support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

/ E# B ?: L+ J* }) }- BFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
7 L6 s: s2 A5 R4 X5 m% Z( Semerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video 9 |$ d5 S/ K3 c$ W: E
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a ) l- L; h+ o. e, E6 k
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and 4 S; b3 j8 F7 @" S
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern ' Y ?% S0 A V: M' H

9 }; P f0 \& CJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the 8 X! w$ W+ Q q
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as 8 k" e. F% ?5 M% H1 g# w3 p. e
well as the script, magazine and book library. ; f) m. o6 j0 ~% s% l' c8 l

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
- ]% x0 \: W0 r- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
3 k; Z0 I, d9 Z- Implement a catalogue template for future use / g9 U T* c3 t
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure ( R' x4 t5 A3 t- D; Y; {
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable 3 D5 u% G9 w o& o0 V7 I: {

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week ! G& r1 C) G( }5 N, C% f
- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks

- Strong organizational skills
' K- S# f# S8 f. J" h- Experience or training in library sciences preferred

- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
