FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the
summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to

emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
9 J2 m* Y) M- Q& vand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
- w, P  E/ g' G8 A" L; Nresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
well as the script, magazine and book library.

Duties:
- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

(STEP)
- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-
: Y( i' w3 j6 |secondary training, university preferred
- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
- Strong organizational skills
- Experience or training in library sciences preferred

2 O: F% _( A* n; Z( n- e: Q2 P- Strong team player abilities
- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
