FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the ' z3 x! M* j7 B; _/ k: X$ P
summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to
& K5 ?* \/ x9 v3 Bsupport the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
( b+ q! E7 \$ `; E! B9 Bemerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video ; W( e$ m# q. M6 e9 j% ^4 k
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
[# u+ n: u: E# ^resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

4 [9 }1 g5 I) J- ?Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the [7 C/ F, |' K: R
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
; t+ t; n+ i$ |! i. l/ Nwell as the script, magazine and book library.

Duties: T. Q% @' \! Y% l1 z* f
- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
2 h) }- [( |9 k: b! @- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books 6 s: n4 a5 ^( E) L& J. ^
- Implement a catalogue template for future use : q, j1 ]1 V1 m5 q
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure + d7 u9 Y5 q+ ^. V0 ?
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable * z0 h$ T5 ]0 o( q' i3 R

- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
