summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to % a6 _# g, d2 P& G0 s) r% p
support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

7 ]$ v3 I* ~4 X7 ~FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from ( `% a& J; \5 ~! k
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video 1 @' o; i3 l7 @5 D) q' S' b
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a & A$ u; h* w W6 t
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and j+ a% E7 @1 o' t. o
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern * M0 y2 Q# Q- o( A8 n
Alberta.

4 ]. n5 p. k1 K+ l: U. m7 rJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
3 p3 ~" _9 g5 ]8 H- E0 JFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
: F: l& s7 m4 m' N6 d- s" x. }well as the script, magazine and book library.

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library 5 K7 N5 M9 H6 e
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books + g3 ]- a0 b6 h# U2 E6 s- M+ j: e
- Implement a catalogue template for future use

- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:

- Strong organizational skills # n. z2 @5 `1 b/ M6 s% ?
- Experience or training in library sciences preferred

- Strong team player abilities
