FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the , ?+ _8 G5 F. R& }& a6 T* j
summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to

and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
" k; n( k3 r/ s9 eresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and % f. B* ]! Y. k' C( B j
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern ( a o! }3 h) W( U6 t& w. h( E/ v) y" a

# ^' ]9 A# g5 YJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the ! T) K( F7 ]5 F9 e
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
& r' x/ R9 B) y" J% E8 @well as the script, magazine and book library. ( d0 A" E/ T6 W9 g1 e$ F9 e

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library 6 @( T0 q& C* D8 f0 T) Q( ~
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books & R& c0 [9 ^, s- |
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
$ E/ x n5 K5 c7 _, k$ t- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure 1 X; O* H0 h1 m0 v
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Strong organizational skills
