summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to ' w. r' t# g5 ?4 ], L3 p; S
support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from 7 V7 a# a( s/ `
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
$ G9 [* D: e6 I1 D4 O+ \and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
# J/ {/ T$ U% \3 U/ \$ B/ Iresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
; }5 t7 x0 V& Escreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern + I( T9 E& X1 p3 D+ j! F2 i

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the . |; U# |9 ?% z' l- |6 i
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
h/ X& M' {" H, g' Rwell as the script, magazine and book library.

Duties: 1 ^3 R7 y }) s3 J; J! m6 R
- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
: P2 v1 o0 _( E `7 o! R) {+ F0 L- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books 9 `: }. h7 A* L* `6 e) @
- Implement a catalogue template for future use

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-

- J$ @5 G8 B0 I8 S7 R- N3 I5 t- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts

- Experience or training in library sciences preferred # S0 p/ N* W' ?, A: S! G
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal $ S: d* O$ M3 L( t% C: P
- Strong team player abilities
