summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to

3 q& C3 A3 }/ m' c$ JFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from ( K3 K+ K( n3 @" x
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video 7 X8 t6 Q3 r' z
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a & }% p' Y) X* Z2 y \
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
1 _( Q5 L* C& G- V& Z h- oFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
* F! J1 S3 x: O+ D) owell as the script, magazine and book library.

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library j, J" P% |, U, ~" D
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
, i. i* K6 J- @, @+ R- Implement a catalogue template for future use
, R. U$ @5 F/ {- j3 { C- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure 3 n0 g3 d2 Q$ ]. X6 _
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable 1 C2 [6 W# k7 y1 F/ ?

secondary training, university preferred

- Experience or training in library sciences preferred : P6 Z2 f9 e* p, r9 `/ c
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
- l( ], e/ u1 M- Strong team player abilities
: w+ P- i4 D3 z- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
