and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a

, ?- z8 g. K8 Gscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

% W6 i0 l( a e) G' DJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
! `* @% Q/ E6 S P3 ?3 n& zFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as 8 z' ?% |& X0 q/ l, u
well as the script, magazine and book library. ( q2 @; v+ z. D% Y B1 d/ z

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
: `. F5 r9 x: g- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books & c: V6 J9 V+ n p
- Implement a catalogue template for future use ( v5 C- A; l j3 {
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure % X, o5 F( g$ Y, R
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable # v4 P! d% @3 {

- Funding for this position is provided by the Summer Temporary Employment Program

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-) T8 G" \% [3 D/ \
secondary training, university preferred

- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: / c+ u) x9 S8 f) c0 p
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts ; P% b. V4 N9 S. t3 o
- Strong organizational skills

- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
