: [3 n9 e* H* `. b6 F- zsummer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to
* a* M R% R" Z6 [support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern
( _8 r( P0 u; @* LAlberta.

1 r( W5 m; Y! U- M+ E& M2 h# G% BFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
, K6 l1 N" s$ j9 j% C8 \emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video 5 S! B3 c [) s0 H2 i3 A* z1 _
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
* ]5 `8 {8 W) {* F3 V( tresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
( J! D" z9 q) d1 E$ _screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern
/ Y2 [) U+ [' \$ lAlberta.

& ~! |6 J2 u8 N* q; D+ |Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the 0 J% W1 a. o$ H: i' U
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as * T: g0 T- Y' M' s7 o
well as the script, magazine and book library. 4 J0 |$ |: }- Y/ B5 y1 I

. r0 g9 p/ j( u) j- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library 3 i+ o6 `' j# \7 m
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books ) M' K h* `* w) {
- Implement a catalogue template for future use : L, w; X5 w1 W! F
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure 9 T4 W' b- }6 Z* U+ X
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week 8 y4 G$ C9 T8 g, A; h" S- d, J
- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks + e3 W# M1 Q. B2 ?/ \& d* ?7 y

- Experience or training in library sciences preferred - w+ F: s$ n. S- U) u: q
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal ! Q- {; \$ b$ Z$ Q, M

- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors ; a$ ^, A' D0 ?; n, A
