FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the : K. G; x; V- J/ V

support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern 3 f# V7 Y# F. A+ r5 l: O% F8 D

) j* R4 z9 b7 ^. E8 dand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
% i! @/ v6 l0 @5 D7 ~2 q/ J- s- d9 Uresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
|- ?* E; C! ^6 }) Oscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern % O& A* _6 w# w# O

4 T" O7 R; `/ V7 X# sJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
0 ~( P2 w& I' g1 T1 o8 oFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
3 |8 h8 }4 u; ^1 o2 Wwell as the script, magazine and book library.

Duties:
9 p/ {9 _. H2 M- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library # A; E) b5 T& x7 @, w# T, g
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books 7 I0 ?6 K& Z- M* h, e
- Implement a catalogue template for future use & I$ N! b' o" z' X
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure * N/ C# i( x$ v9 t% ]# A# O5 ^
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable ' x4 _' V+ a8 G$ o" w- j& x6 F

- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:

, O# i# S. L7 ^1 U. e- Strong organizational skills
9 n$ Y5 V" s9 o6 f( n' n- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
/ q- a4 u3 E/ w% R7 N5 U- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
! ]$ h, ]* @' s' h$ l- Strong team player abilities
7 Q- ^; S/ b J H$ H- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
