FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the

support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern & r K; l0 w- o! {( X5 X
Alberta. 0 t* }3 s# m& U, J$ z: b/ f
y8 Z: {# h# {# _) jFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from : W2 G* t% Y8 t1 J: s7 N
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video ( c7 V U5 C# h4 N
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
& A1 A, j. q' X" `# hresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
6 T% h' {: ^; s. u8 l7 G% D+ N) m3 hscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern ! G6 ]" x1 h4 z5 j: E( r- E

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the 8 @: [8 H1 }# o# b" w2 f& D
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as % O. n% Y* f' \$ T0 E2 X4 `
well as the script, magazine and book library.

1 n& h+ p8 p9 x6 B2 J. r& R- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
( {0 r7 Z7 |+ Q v8 U; E- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
% A. v/ b+ F, g' [- Implement a catalogue template for future use . a- F K% j+ l
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure $ @ y, i7 S$ Y* S4 f
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Experience or training in library sciences preferred ! \6 Z' R* [) Q3 ~3 [0 A8 c' R
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal 0 n- E' H( t) O
- Strong team player abilities
