FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the
& w! S3 A) w( y+ k* u$ vsummer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to

emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
+ @4 i8 W* B+ ^1 tand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a 3 a! y4 y0 q1 r/ `) j) U
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
4 D( O9 J. i8 ]# kscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern " T; ?: D7 ~) f% T6 ]' v' Y

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the ! y F; Q3 w. W! ]. y
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as

- Implement a catalogue template for future use * w( R' f" z1 t- H+ V
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
! H( o" R" b. D9 T6 g8 ]- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

- Strong organizational skills
