support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from , A% z( `2 }, f6 g7 V
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
9 @0 i: i/ m, f/ Tand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a ; I) @8 W6 F" R. W7 p4 ?/ ~
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
: I% g3 G7 w" Uscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
9 M* a- K$ q/ L7 ^) ]+ t1 a+ D# o: xFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
( c! H5 E; H) {0 e5 E# w' Kwell as the script, magazine and book library.

* B7 v4 c) `1 s6 ^/ A& Y5 Z- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
! ^; C5 P7 d+ H( `( f) t- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
# K0 _; Y" @# T& `8 t: k% K8 _- Implement a catalogue template for future use $ _) v s+ ^9 V5 T4 [6 p
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure * y, Y$ l/ Z+ u7 H, x8 B0 p2 e4 |" H
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: $ b" I, ?1 _3 v) f7 j+ b
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
( s& m9 w' ]' b7 T- Strong organizational skills
8 ?: b0 s7 @( @$ [+ k& i+ H/ a- Experience or training in library sciences preferred . L/ l6 l& L/ n! u% w* `3 P
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
4 g+ E' l: B+ S0 @& t4 v- Strong team player abilities
