FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the
$ ^! T# X9 P: v$ Gsummer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to ( @6 }! }$ H( x
support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern
6 S$ r7 q& y9 ~3 TAlberta. ) L1 d6 x) G2 v+ `
- }! U/ ^; i% Q) tFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from , K; _2 o/ x/ c8 U" E; C6 w
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
9 p. n$ {: c8 K' ]4 K4 Z) Xand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a 7 N! i7 c: x9 l( }4 X
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
9 k' R5 G+ i6 ~FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
' `* e: d6 @/ n- Rwell as the script, magazine and book library. / P' ]6 f% F4 Q' A& G
9 e9 H# g% d/ B, H2 X/ Q) YDuties: 4 b3 [4 M: C. i- u
- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
6 S. K' z9 P% u% _3 P- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
! Q. ^8 }& k! n" O2 ~" k- Implement a catalogue template for future use . e0 p& I+ B7 _$ p- h
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure / L& Z/ g5 }3 |1 Z
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
