FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the 9 g# m! p- K; h0 ~. w
summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to 8 E6 A: y& S! \$ c: F( X, N" m T
support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern
; ~( N2 i% @( F0 xAlberta.

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from ( N# j- r* k% p, `9 D
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
0 ~* O7 `" _# p5 |% r1 A* u/ }) z. M% Uand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a , V+ s* V* B3 I9 s5 Z
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
2 d3 h, k7 V/ J, B# R2 U. n* j# NFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
& Q4 A1 g# J- Bwell as the script, magazine and book library.

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library ! h% N( |# x) i" G/ |
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
4 r: h9 t+ S) ^- Implement a catalogue template for future use : y% N5 w* W5 u* r, J
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
4 _; ?3 [. F' H5 |2 H- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable ; H- ^/ P+ @7 Y- J4 g6 J

secondary training, university preferred

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
