FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the 4 I- p8 A- g2 U# P4 I' ^8 t3 K( P
summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to # g1 Z! c9 V" k5 A5 T& F. H
support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
! }2 A# v2 e" E/ p( r( E1 dFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
, z& B$ ^9 s# D4 S. P2 s. twell as the script, magazine and book library. 3 r+ T7 I* ^9 C {" K) I

Duties: ; H$ h! f9 M3 r3 Q( _
- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library & H5 y' A- }0 {+ G0 J
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books |8 p: w+ C3 ?& Y3 B* u$ z$ t& @- m
- Implement a catalogue template for future use ) o3 c x. }- Y
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure

- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts 6 A0 V( T" I: C# P6 S
- Strong organizational skills

- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal 9 x3 u' y H. { f ?( `
- Strong team player abilities - f: c8 u7 Q* j; r( b+ k
- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
