FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from

1 z! s Q* J# L( G0 J3 W& Kand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
) X5 g6 [( B0 Z+ |. tresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
* T! c; J3 R! ^6 i, k3 o+ Cscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

: u: s- _& e; c5 }+ }Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
' y5 \0 W! B% Q7 b, MFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
8 w3 s8 p$ u& O! ?) ?well as the script, magazine and book library. ' n/ i& ~( L/ ^5 w' L

Duties: 2 j) p1 O) f1 u' S8 ?
- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
* _4 _0 A' ]; F9 M9 }- B4 E- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
$ Q8 m1 c7 P& k, Q: P! i- Implement a catalogue template for future use
" q% S3 k/ A0 u( l- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure 0 ^ c. Q) `3 J! G1 U% Z
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: $ E; U6 |. _% `5 B9 N
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
% ?5 D) T, |/ U( _) L- Strong organizational skills
$ U2 B; ~3 o- j8 J- Experience or training in library sciences preferred 3 Z/ x' [$ g! [2 h( ]
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
$ K1 ]- \1 |* @4 n- Strong team player abilities
( W$ ]- B% C" U! Z- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
