support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern 1 x% G" m% ?* Y7 M$ C g

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from

) E& ~8 H( R3 e' z1 qand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a 4 [6 C+ _' F# O# \" U
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
$ d* ~/ \( j) nscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern ; `# b& j* U1 l% w m- |

FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as

: {- h/ K1 S g0 a- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
3 ~1 e. E9 p/ N) N. x( y: F/ |- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
1 I4 S& t8 \: v+ `3 O2 Y- Implement a catalogue template for future use # V. b$ Y, F, p& Y
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure & n$ W* ?$ v. r; R$ M, U5 ^
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-1 p2 n8 Z i2 l6 Y, \, `' v/ h
secondary training, university preferred
) m1 v3 p+ {( P# c- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week
& Q( `8 L( e4 _ h0 O# N- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks + `/ J" o. H* z" h

- Experience or training in library sciences preferred 4 b* c. u2 p' a: w" r
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
