FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the

support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

( m' w9 y0 c2 XFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from 9 N d2 }7 U6 p" E3 v
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video - Q" q( C& p: ]2 P
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
! F3 F7 w: I# L5 M1 Yresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and 5 o1 {: a1 f5 H
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

' }: D5 K J+ E* ]$ C- SJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
j4 B3 ^2 @& b( \9 MFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as 9 i, K! ~2 y) a* [
well as the script, magazine and book library. & y# j7 D5 B- o

Duties:
) m9 n5 s; F6 g0 k p6 X8 y- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library # E+ o+ O3 x- S2 Z N
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books 5 }8 j' e- e0 j9 X1 Z# }& E3 J& f
- Implement a catalogue template for future use , ?( \/ K8 ]; Z y% r( M
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure , I) E) G3 U: C8 ~! s$ Z
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable ! ~" Z7 B) Y# |

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-+ ]6 `9 P. l& o$ ?+ Y
secondary training, university preferred 9 |, [! g/ R+ ~$ R3 N
- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
! _6 w" _, ^1 N- Strong organizational skills

- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal 8 }3 M; k! _. Y |" K
- Strong team player abilities
