summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from

and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a ; }$ |0 W7 D' D8 U/ P5 `
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
o+ i8 b9 M$ @# Bscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern ( @( Q5 k- G7 P! a3 Z
Alberta.

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the + Y T. L8 b9 u. w' K! y
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as 5 W1 |/ e" b% m' s1 o% T3 q( v' M" D
well as the script, magazine and book library.

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library 9 ~8 H6 S* Y9 j0 P
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books % e/ E, k1 N+ ?2 B! [& a6 Q- [7 e# L
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
) z2 l. y3 Q0 T: r4 J# {/ y' O; W/ Z- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure 2 W9 h( Y3 P' C, ~
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable , E& o+ M2 R( n3 l# k; y0 i: Y

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-

- Strong organizational skills

- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal + ~" w7 \2 j' ^' c
- Strong team player abilities
