FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from

and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
) O& b e r: U; n) Tresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
' t, N: s" }0 S/ ?. G; V/ Kscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
- n* n6 X6 R$ z9 [& ^* P' \% bFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
% X8 M6 G9 c6 o0 uwell as the script, magazine and book library.

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library 3 X R A4 ]" w5 c$ K2 |4 u, p6 ?
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books 8 }4 y! ]) V- G
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
: z: O1 s* \% U6 Z- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
+ L5 Y9 O$ w4 m4 {3 f m- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable , ~ c1 L/ Z2 e+ J% c

- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts

- Experience or training in library sciences preferred 1 P) R \3 H: e% L
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal

- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
