FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the
; f- Y) H. W0 F5 xsummer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to . g7 H7 o* P3 \+ ]
support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern
3 l6 P9 l; r$ kAlberta. 8 S& j4 q) S& H9 c; q
) v. w7 y5 y" @* g# f' @4 QFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from . z# L/ ^: p2 ^
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video 0 H4 S+ \/ ~5 H, q5 Y
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a 9 F7 m* t4 e2 h7 a
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and " e. G3 m9 x% W* S
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

7 h; e& M) G5 \Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
* d$ ?- P& K$ M2 f4 R7 V XFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as 5 D+ r2 }0 W! h; [) D3 B9 I+ b7 k
well as the script, magazine and book library.

3 N5 L; W- Z" t) T- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library * R6 R. ?" U, j0 N0 B7 u( l9 _
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books , k+ |8 u/ i; ~/ d9 j) x# Y: R
- Implement a catalogue template for future use 7 { k. y. P: v: S! |& m( Q+ \7 L, P
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts

- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
