support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern 6 b% w" X3 D; d: d2 y2 ^/ \
Alberta.

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from " E* h* T n# v! a

and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a / w4 _2 Z) r# u9 Z% e
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the . `0 I. M2 j: U! ?$ |& g
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as " V8 r7 F: H/ n2 C4 U/ ^$ t
well as the script, magazine and book library.

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library

- Implement a catalogue template for future use
" _& p. i, o+ ^5 \8 g! d- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure ) V1 C! o) G) T* P6 \$ ?3 R B( F
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks

- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
