FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the . C$ O; [# p9 u6 j; T7 L
summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to ! {: Q. | z- N
support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from

and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a ; Q$ a% @2 `3 B; P

+ c W0 ]" x( z+ Q+ [3 h* G" jFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as

# Q b! i; e5 A W$ z% g$ ?- _- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
, o$ b5 Y2 k; X% L0 Y+ u, O- Implement a catalogue template for future use
, k5 t/ k& O" X s5 `$ |- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
% M$ U* N6 ?& f1 k: S- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:

- Strong organizational skills
) C9 c `9 D* v. N5 v# r. t- Experience or training in library sciences preferred . V( m" H7 W2 `" s8 E
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal ) M- }& x* u" Z5 r ^( t4 K
- Strong team player abilities / W% s# M" Z! s
- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
