FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the % g8 \1 ?8 h2 T5 h
summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to
! V4 w! B% m: J8 R! x, w0 m9 Xsupport the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern + r- ~! ]: w% T' }: {0 Q

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
# i* D( p6 C$ semerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
5 Y0 R) A/ s3 L* m; \0 n5 |' Band media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
: }6 n5 k7 O$ P3 M+ }resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
; y2 L# o: g9 ]! ewell as the script, magazine and book library.

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
6 w% X6 {6 t y* ^1 A' E- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
2 G4 M7 f+ \* P- Implement a catalogue template for future use ; v- x1 h1 w0 o/ E+ e3 r7 p
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
u. x6 I) Q, A0 R- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
$ ~% ~7 h3 c' L9 L2 A/ U- Strong organizational skills
$ S6 K. [& X* S4 f- x/ C- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
