emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video . |3 Y+ t$ i9 F& Q
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a 3 I3 ]+ M% w) L6 r+ T) `+ G/ }
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
& J5 n7 U( n/ S9 Zscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

! G/ Y+ q% j& eJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
# `% X) y. Y- `7 OFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as + ^ S$ q$ ?, A, d
well as the script, magazine and book library. ! ?1 Z- R/ X5 ]* }4 ?$ g: d. m7 e) J0 @
8 q# e7 G, D7 O h9 R0 m. c1 ]Duties:
- z' x- g4 U8 y$ ?0 k7 D- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library 1 S! Y# E+ v9 G' }
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
* ?$ S, Q0 o2 Z- Implement a catalogue template for future use 3 s# U5 e$ r6 v
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
* B2 ^) W; E- ?6 Y) s) J7 l6 ^- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-8 @/ u3 @3 o) P* }" p% e6 i- p
secondary training, university preferred . q7 L; v/ k6 o$ q
- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week
, @3 Q9 D- S/ E- u- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks $ o4 X# D1 }+ k" ~9 w$ T

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
" }1 A9 x/ ?* d# o- `- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
* u) x1 N3 {# }0 K- Strong organizational skills
$ j ^ o/ S2 j1 O9 }- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
4 p! H6 J; o2 l" O- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
0 g; `% x9 ^% e/ Y% Y( C3 e- Strong team player abilities
! A1 ]' H( h. a5 p3 e1 Y+ g- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
