FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
1 R; _3 b! \' J3 m4 h+ femerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
& m2 p1 I; l7 |5 \. Wand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a 4 J, V) U! U2 d" Y3 w, E) C
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
( e! r/ w; n( G B( Pscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

" y! s8 z9 C. u! [% M* ^Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the - C1 q8 Y9 r; d( k4 U* f
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
: f* z( I# b% t6 q& [; wwell as the script, magazine and book library. , U! Z0 `% E0 s/ p$ j& Q

Duties: - { B3 h2 `9 B
- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
# ^4 x2 G. H; ~& f/ ?% d; s- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books - ^7 y; I4 f3 p; o# x+ ]# }
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
@$ s; `( _6 D$ m& D4 r- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure o* N# F ^5 i" g# p1 Z
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable
& N( g5 O* F- h, [+ B+ }( K . {# m5 k, D. m% B

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:

- Strong organizational skills & \, V0 n: x& d W! x1 f
- Experience or training in library sciences preferred

- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
