3 `: O% }* a$ lFAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the + p# M* U q9 S1 i8 \
summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to " _* P( y0 O2 p: l! W$ y
support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern ! Y6 }9 d5 S; f' D
Alberta.

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
+ D& v6 h4 o- b% H' remerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
1 k/ W, z2 U7 W5 L9 r5 i- ^2 Qand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
; l E* p3 d- z# ~3 L) v% cresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and 3 s9 F, l, p) C2 m3 F J
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern % l) m# J! D: g4 Y
Alberta.

+ a- c z# Z. d- m$ O3 S0 DJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
4 ^2 W& V- E- u% m0 qFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
/ m J/ p; |" o$ E8 B) Kwell as the script, magazine and book library. 0 ]) f, h: l7 d7 W

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library . q5 B3 P4 u5 c' t
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books . A4 c" i0 i8 k( G/ L5 E5 a
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
) d0 a0 _# w, U; X9 a- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure 9 [5 i: V% u6 @8 d; _8 N
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
