FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the - x" `9 P$ F {$ R% V
summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to ) Q: x8 u+ ^9 L) g
support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

: J! I! D9 @% z2 W" \FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from & l( D. ^ |( {* r* d; B2 K
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video x6 h3 m i5 A, s% A8 e0 R$ |5 q
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
) Q/ N2 U. d6 `: z4 P$ Presource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
$ R; q+ _( [; K) l: E" B5 Iscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

2 {2 F$ j$ ~! J( \( G' y" I# sJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
, d" `1 Z2 ?4 pFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as ( o6 T2 S* ?+ R5 t$ t6 V5 Y4 N
well as the script, magazine and book library.

- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books 4 s! D! }2 W6 v! L G
- Implement a catalogue template for future use " Z3 A, g$ ?4 Q8 `" T% p4 z
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure / _3 g+ w. B' S" \5 o
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks
