and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a m8 n, J# r: v+ o

screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

9 i1 j6 f4 V- x# o3 RJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
3 ]+ c2 q8 U; o. vFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as * B6 }' f7 Z+ A: w( Y
well as the script, magazine and book library. ! h: C* t" ^ o y+ M

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
+ D; Y. c' P6 q( ?: e% Z- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books ) F/ r, a3 a6 r+ `% e" H
- Implement a catalogue template for future use

- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable * c! B' s! E) z$ a

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-$ l$ }7 L* d" {+ ]# q1 k4 u* M
secondary training, university preferred $ S7 ` R( l8 I+ {9 q% M9 G* `6 E E5 f
- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week 5 {. e) }, ]9 G" K' n E9 e9 l
- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: 0 n( V5 W; g' o9 A! _4 B' b
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts

- Experience or training in library sciences preferred

- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
