Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the , f8 R) i2 X7 e& G1 e$ g) d% F/ F4 V
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as 6 Q7 x6 h* k& ?
well as the script, magazine and book library. 6 L0 P G( R7 m

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
& K% J& i4 M+ {: l- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
$ _0 L% E1 J: Q, l- Implement a catalogue template for future use
: _0 H. R4 @' t/ }5 g- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure 9 }! A7 t% f" O0 E+ ^
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable q# V u' `( R$ T

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-8 X" T; g# O$ n' u0 ~4 Y( [7 ^- w
secondary training, university preferred ) y6 A* l) L) v; ]7 {
- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week
% `7 l% ?/ v( [1 }8 \2 F9 d- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: 7 d( L2 ~6 b/ t; ?- F
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
9 w" P) n& J! v4 `4 P" { [/ k- Strong organizational skills
6 A( W/ e3 I B3 o6 x) t1 K; a- Experience or training in library sciences preferred . R. g3 _% I8 ^8 X( e) y
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
