support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
( F( p1 Y3 [) V9 p- kemerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video 7 l8 C; ^& \5 G; R% q
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a 9 t9 ?* ~$ m$ C; N) X( h8 R8 S
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
& q9 R- }, W# } s0 E4 J! kscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern # O# r# \& Y5 N/ p

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the 2 V/ ] B: A- I- @
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
6 L( C3 f" Q1 Q7 E1 Dwell as the script, magazine and book library. 8 }7 C# m% s6 d" O4 M" n
/ e6 ^- _$ m# z0 T' j6 G
Duties:
_0 g3 G, Q& u3 g3 g/ I- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library T# x ? d6 _8 b* \+ j' S
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
7 S; _9 } s! m2 e& ^/ M- Implement a catalogue template for future use
6 p& ^* I- v% N! G* L' O6 n- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure % }5 o6 w. k8 }, I( V7 s8 ]& m
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks

- Experience or training in library sciences preferred 1 j7 p. ?8 F+ G" D+ b
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
