FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the ; o% J' ?! o, `4 ?) F) g
summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to ' a% `+ k& X2 g( E
support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern 8 J- a7 e( q+ w8 N& t8 H
Alberta.

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the . {' {8 L& H. m+ z; N7 g/ H% E
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
# C! J) |: x7 Gwell as the script, magazine and book library.

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library ! {* @5 c" k7 S7 b9 x2 G
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
7 x& X8 i9 Y4 \( t7 _- Implement a catalogue template for future use
4 N9 o8 S! { u1 {- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
$ d* t, \: }" O/ u- C' N- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable 2 N. |. t7 B0 J4 q; i: ~

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:

- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
