summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to ) |$ b2 ^) r% m
support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
R+ ]9 H# R- ^4 P" qemerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
6 v# e* y6 }7 M1 ~' c7 Sand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
! j$ G! y: x2 p* Y0 mresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and % N4 _# S3 f# q; W: d" I
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

% J" g3 N. u5 n& U/ IJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the ) v! I5 Z7 b# C+ i0 `; L" X- [7 F% ~: W
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
5 T( u7 E& U8 w9 h4 ], X# nwell as the script, magazine and book library.

Duties: + s6 s' [) B8 h
- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
+ B% C" L7 E1 B0 m* n3 [- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books , h3 I/ P: j: E- _ M: y( h2 d
- Implement a catalogue template for future use % C( o) u" J! x. P2 |% M
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure 6 V5 `/ f: Z6 [6 G! z
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: ' a* T$ l& {4 v5 t! E
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
3 {! G9 \0 l8 N7 E" R; Y$ `- Strong organizational skills
& F( J3 P. o, R; U- Experience or training in library sciences preferred

- Strong team player abilities
