$ Y; { M5 e# W9 g5 H% o2 lsummer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to
0 X* ~1 o! H& u9 c, n2 ]support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
+ t. U+ q4 P& cemerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video 1 x0 Y! l( o& U# x
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
; G/ }% E; V0 ?* p4 t+ D3 fresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
: C% ?; b3 ?. Z) U( G% }* }screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

* I7 {3 t6 y+ ~$ XJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
' j% w; F, `. s0 w% tFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
/ w) I6 `. G# U7 S( V0 g5 V& qwell as the script, magazine and book library.

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library 8 A5 C! Y+ h3 f5 N* c
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
& I; Z9 E5 H8 H& E( O- Implement a catalogue template for future use * `1 V/ {+ W3 i% a6 r ?& F9 `( k
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure 3 X" H9 v0 L& y. ` g3 x
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable 2 N5 W, _9 I+ S& F

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-

- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks

- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
