FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the

support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern + Q2 ^7 P0 l2 Y# B7 L

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
! M3 c. C% r( N( }% x; Oemerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
/ [+ K% r! T* O, R& J7 fand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a 1 r6 ~3 [: W$ \7 E! ?
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
& E* ~) X" W7 r$ p2 Pscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

! j0 c E, ~ M9 e) V4 O; g+ b4 pJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
9 d3 p0 i# @$ Q- \8 p$ cFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as 7 ?+ C8 ]8 H2 a4 k- `$ ~; m
well as the script, magazine and book library.

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library _3 I' b7 f7 G8 T; Z/ }
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books 0 ^3 q8 B1 a a0 A" _7 A$ G% g
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
3 t, K9 b) x$ c- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure ; o3 l: G4 l4 X7 x4 }" ^1 ?
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable ) h/ i$ e; A$ Y0 U' v' v4 a

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
' M1 G' F7 b8 ~* w3 @. C- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
3 [1 C: J) T) Z" h7 H7 H4 m- Strong organizational skills
- |3 u8 k9 { u- Experience or training in library sciences preferred , t% m6 S6 E4 c
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal 3 z5 K9 |1 p: F) f
- Strong team player abilities
7 Q2 O% }9 h' I i9 O8 _- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
