summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to

Alberta.

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from 6 C0 Z9 V6 a8 v0 P; V
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video $ n2 t0 b9 g" @
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
: M p& L9 Q3 H0 R4 D. `: M; h Eresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
- d+ {* q7 n& s8 Y6 ?9 ]6 }screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

( m$ p; \1 J2 ?FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as , ?; t3 f' Z" n0 r0 H
well as the script, magazine and book library.

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
4 _4 U# u1 R, L7 h! }+ E- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books : U* ^9 r- ^9 o' W Y$ |
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
& n% w& s7 K& L9 R3 n- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure * w1 Z' S# B/ k
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable 5 z9 D9 k+ ^# L7 c! l! i

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-: m) F$ Z) a% \7 A) z

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
4 l8 s( h" ^* q+ Y( C2 W; S- Strong organizational skills
9 T* Q" A" j7 o$ D1 v8 I7 _6 X2 C- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
