support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

/ o( I4 D8 Y% f3 LFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from 6 M( s, e. ?) O9 m, |4 @( g6 k
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video 3 A$ m1 B8 t) V% q! p7 A( p
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
}% h" U' z/ S3 j: Nresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
" D% B! z$ ~8 V% Cscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern " X4 y7 q8 u% u) y
Alberta.

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the 1 K: e+ N/ `( V8 R: N! D
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
' J+ E8 U! R( Y) D6 i6 p l$ Fwell as the script, magazine and book library. 9 ?+ E& c/ s0 v" Q' m, i
5 B8 b! @* U$ h( `) s1 t$ z0 O1 q/ aDuties:
3 s: j8 }+ w _4 E- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library " O0 e# J/ N4 o% w4 I0 d2 d- [5 B& N
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books

- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure & h/ r; U& g7 |
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable 5 R# Q4 }+ a5 y; x' j

- Experience or training in library sciences preferred

- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
