support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from * e& a! y T, M9 a! w
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
8 v( }, O# L' I9 e- I% }# \and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
# h' o6 P% g, Wresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and , z; o( ?- O. q
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern 2 J& y( F, t; B) ^- p- q

3 x% Y' ^% ~, V# s5 e5 ~Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the ! |$ k4 \5 H3 p( E
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as H$ A7 j; A% C' z3 f/ O+ ~0 [
well as the script, magazine and book library.

* E- Q) X# i1 a. O, o- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
! I$ R6 [; i1 y; H- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
- Z/ p% {6 S& d- Implement a catalogue template for future use 9 I" T" A- N7 ^' a
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
1 O* a/ F- g9 Q# }8 r- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week " o' l5 L8 k* ?& w2 f' o# S4 N
- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
( n- R1 Q$ ?. n- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts % M* ~+ {& u9 u# ?5 p+ Y
- Strong organizational skills
) |: R! O) Q h% Q. `- G5 r- C+ _- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
; _. X5 r2 j1 A0 v- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
