FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the

and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a . a7 `5 ^! Z- |" ^
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

. J, t/ t1 U1 A4 W" rJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
& M. ~7 m% B; HFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
! q% l4 X' f' B: ?- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books 1 O5 J4 L7 q% g) B5 m/ o& R
- Implement a catalogue template for future use ' D7 V6 e% k* a6 R3 \3 p
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
* ?5 h6 {0 h+ l/ p1 q- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable ' Y9 W1 q& L1 z) G2 n8 y

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-0 X% h/ ?: ]' P/ w) g# J) }# m$ O! V
secondary training, university preferred

- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: 5 j \; g& M- \. f: G' `7 ` Y
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
& o; [9 |5 v5 m- Strong organizational skills
5 t5 Q) J T0 \ [& T- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
; x9 B( ]; j" k' f; I) b0 f4 N! l; E" m+ y- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal

- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
