FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from

screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern 9 I, ~# |7 T0 M

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the + ^% A" q. u0 O; h- d
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as 7 X% J b1 @+ a5 D$ a. r
well as the script, magazine and book library. . I: o6 ]$ ~! |6 U

Duties:
2 N. j) V/ M* j- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
5 g( P; x: N8 G- A+ V! X: `- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
. _; i+ t: T: i( O. U/ ?- Implement a catalogue template for future use
+ p# M" U4 Q2 J% j( Z5 F- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
: `$ Q9 I$ S$ J! ~- w+ T- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable - p' K6 y; X$ u" b2 l! t

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-, M' D; w* Q, C& F" `
secondary training, university preferred
3 ^6 ^; d: ?6 l& T0 P N8 h- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

9 l$ u8 C% M. J$ `/ B* `- Strong organizational skills
1 @+ F; f4 D8 U' T# O- Experience or training in library sciences preferred , S6 v7 ]* F+ J8 e& Q
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal

- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
