summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to ! B8 r% {+ _( `# `4 @) f
support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern 3 N$ P' F: Y+ c: j

! D% _4 y2 v* RFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
1 {( V5 }; w" _emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video # N _, q$ Z! _& F
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
, D7 z5 f" L hresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as ( m7 H7 y& T G1 E
well as the script, magazine and book library.

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
1 D0 M: W( X4 H$ j- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books 8 h, D" D$ S$ d0 q3 U
- Implement a catalogue template for future use 6 f7 U) c9 l* M9 K5 ~; g
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
/ ]0 A& z. g/ l- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-5 U6 q1 i0 s0 ^+ b
secondary training, university preferred

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts ) q5 j/ F4 E$ l% _& \8 p
- Strong organizational skills
9 K* H& _. o# ~5 |- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
/ H# K+ r/ i5 N4 u6 ^6 j- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
