- e4 |8 l9 m* d5 Vsummer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to
4 v. v# n1 r& Q; M* bsupport the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern
; [: g2 y# u9 u& h2 h* o( cAlberta.

emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video * D' u! w. v; [/ n
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
3 ]1 [0 w" c1 A& C3 Presource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
- C+ e1 I2 j" x8 x# K3 hscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern 5 P% s* o+ C4 [& _5 b$ X# }7 E

7 o& o0 \) E4 U- q' o/ JJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the ( c. [8 }/ ^! m/ i/ V4 p
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
+ ?! @& C+ J0 F! ~well as the script, magazine and book library.

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
. N% ^8 c& y/ r0 x2 B e' F4 w8 h- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books ' w0 w/ U4 Q% u* l1 p# J b& u
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
& t- K5 Q2 Y* @8 e9 s; P" a: E. m" E- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure ( {+ E# ]6 q5 Z9 O
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable 1 k# g+ i1 m$ k, s+ Y- \# ^

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
$ I1 m2 N$ C6 {- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
c" z: N, `1 m2 h s2 u" Y- Strong organizational skills
$ l4 c# B5 p/ E: r% u3 |1 s2 g9 g- Experience or training in library sciences preferred * r' u1 U% d" E
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
