FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the

support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern - M& \) t& k6 J2 q) K S% V

' r; E2 k/ w3 W8 A- F Y$ KFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from & n+ H; Z- K* X. A
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video ' l1 `, A) q8 s
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
8 G4 g# {+ J. v+ h7 M, Hresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
G" p: m4 ]% H* J R- T( H! Oscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

# Q% Z1 `6 \6 e! Q: \8 TJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
7 n$ g% z, o: fFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
7 l4 j0 ~1 h, R9 o$ Iwell as the script, magazine and book library.

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
% j, ~0 v; j: g& t" e: L- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books 7 o/ `% A! P. d1 r- w
- Implement a catalogue template for future use / v; N* p* c6 i. A
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure 9 z) v* X: @0 D6 M
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable / U2 M: b; z9 ~& P- x

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week 8 X" P9 U9 v9 v4 c6 M1 y

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
) L* B/ m& l | S5 d$ T% j( m8 q- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts 4 p5 m" f9 q& f: r. X/ T2 `
- Strong organizational skills
% C5 E( L. c9 T- Experience or training in library sciences preferred " R7 ?- z9 b4 n7 X
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
