5 j4 f, D- X) ysummer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to 4 p2 {! k% F9 p) n3 s0 t
support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

% e$ H; U& k; D6 HFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from 1 u8 o9 @ G: R/ h
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video 7 M9 t* p- W. L. f
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
+ v0 C% `7 |: ~$ k3 S* T( Aresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and $ t* F, v: S) e, c j0 B
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as , {9 g" i7 N# b' _6 A3 U. t
well as the script, magazine and book library. 0 t* q/ y: A! K

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library * R1 F* _# u9 D6 ^
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
1 }4 I3 o r% z9 _$ O: i- Implement a catalogue template for future use
|" ~% e1 _$ I; i w# I/ Z- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure 3 }0 h' n& y) ~, [7 ?; U
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
1 B3 v% U( R0 Q6 c" c7 C- Strong organizational skills . A* t8 y7 Y& c& `
- Experience or training in library sciences preferred ' P, z! D2 ~4 V/ A- G4 Z
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
- F R9 p2 D% H- U! ?& S9 o, f- Strong team player abilities
