FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the

support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from : p% t, w; m, _+ A7 k

and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a ; _+ }3 [/ }! i# D. r
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and - B; I! S9 L) Z0 X1 b
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
" p; A- t! V( U/ ], PFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
$ k" g E9 M' B# s, \/ F0 f. Nwell as the script, magazine and book library.

Duties:
! A% M/ j( T- t6 k- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
2 p; B+ K, T+ }' S$ P- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books $ e8 @! U1 n3 O4 T- E) W; C
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
! D* a! _. }8 y4 \- K1 }! A+ }( y% f- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
( }1 g$ _- g$ g- r8 H- l) Z& X- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable & X B. [ F/ d3 k8 |+ a

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
+ t* J: h! f0 v0 f- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
- N) S/ e) _! p! d% W5 F( ~7 H- Strong organizational skills
% o0 e/ ?+ H& P0 n! Y! x+ G* u% \- Experience or training in library sciences preferred

- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
