FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from

- D* {& r9 S7 u! I L) A6 l) jand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a 1 Q+ v1 b [) m' n- T

+ N+ ~% M; G/ V# D- T# OJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the $ H- U9 p: n0 }
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as , E! Q* W( x: _% c6 V7 [1 B$ S
well as the script, magazine and book library. 8 |/ ~2 u# d7 E. |8 q

Duties:
% q, ~6 D. {+ F4 r/ r- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
& h5 O7 b+ k3 w( } x. N- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books . ^; ~# B. p4 e/ [1 t% `
- Implement a catalogue template for future use 4 X7 M6 |# v7 @
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure ! d3 A7 F( O3 [8 ^0 ?1 L" y
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week + x2 c6 D- f! U+ | ?4 i5 j
- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks d- ?9 e# j& q& m5 ^

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
& o, x, q2 ^5 ~7 c; w- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
; a1 \5 A2 g' l" T9 c+ ~) v- Strong organizational skills $ M/ c6 Z/ x4 \1 C% K) {5 s! ?
- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
+ ~0 o; y5 F4 T) w! I* d. Q- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
- S/ N# c/ K$ K4 W- Strong team player abilities % j0 N6 H! z; b; H ?
- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
