summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to
9 {* r7 y* Q1 G5 l: k" f1 Xsupport the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from 1 d- l8 c' p1 }- r3 R. k* q
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video ' {, |! _! U$ Q# N Q
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
5 s$ n0 N0 I2 t5 bresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
5 a3 U# o* v$ ~& ^2 {4 H- fscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

$ Z6 `9 C" B5 ~" O- H. bJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the $ D8 u- h$ X* o
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
& q1 ?7 g0 M& F% k6 C1 F: Wwell as the script, magazine and book library.

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library 0 b( M+ I& G0 }/ P6 }5 |
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books 1 F# b3 z7 L! R; j3 I
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
! t) o1 @' ~- N- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure * |+ T, E9 _9 f& _( m+ e% X
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-3 k# p5 }5 Y/ v: p# I% H1 \
secondary training, university preferred

- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks

- Strong organizational skills
