FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the " ?- j7 ~9 P, I
summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to
9 s7 |) d7 N9 p+ jsupport the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern
; [( P2 j8 ?" o0 w( ^Alberta.

2 i0 s9 h* K) s; f+ KFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
% m C* O* _8 ^* f4 r. C6 _2 bemerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video ! @' n8 E6 P4 P8 K9 m
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
* N0 Z0 l8 X0 `4 C5 Y7 z( nresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and 1 K/ U# w+ n/ V7 y" V, n- s# e
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

& g7 {' m' e. F. rJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
6 H% R( o7 b( Y% p8 o/ UFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
% J8 |. H' T+ U( e4 M* m- Ewell as the script, magazine and book library.

Duties:
5 ^- J0 r/ t; _( S- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library % D: E% W2 w2 w0 |3 K. _4 `
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books * z8 p3 C; G# U6 Z! `5 Z
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
9 f6 ^7 n& c* k- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
. u1 b, @& x/ z/ k/ X2 G" g# t- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week
