summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to 7 N1 N! \" @* d5 u# a! s
support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

8 R b- z; D7 Y$ \) hFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
, B+ ]% p: M) w! g) t6 Iemerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video % g8 h% T8 R/ ] }* F9 O
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
@3 E" k7 n% c0 Nresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
$ h# R' S' f& h6 U' a9 Y: O& escreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern 9 G5 x {* f: }+ M( @+ `

" O3 B3 w* W8 ^; b! w5 [Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
4 j% y0 U4 b( B+ qFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
$ g; o% p- `7 K; k$ o Twell as the script, magazine and book library.

Duties: & ]$ f) t" b/ U7 t" k
- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
; s5 r- e8 j5 z- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books ( _ S2 A+ l, B1 I
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
6 l& {7 c( p1 a1 j- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure ; F9 D& T9 a( y3 \) w
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable 7 Y6 Z' d7 F4 N; `, d6 t; ?

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: 3 h7 s: Y) B. [ x+ K
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts : a' q! X+ Y: \5 D; P8 C1 n
- Strong organizational skills ) c2 I8 @0 w, L. ?1 r9 T) ~# l, u. y
- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
