FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the 0 w. ^! C; B7 H1 B4 k3 w$ A
summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to 0 b1 M- c' q: }- Z- M# w9 }+ V
support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern & l" Z5 ]1 f. I0 T4 [

and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a 3 n9 }: Q- d: Y* Y3 y
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and / W0 i# t6 R: Y
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern 4 R: Q3 Y; v# q B

FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as # A9 O' F2 r" y5 S1 J- q( P. R9 [ `
well as the script, magazine and book library. 2 U8 s: R6 B+ e( A1 w/ n

Duties: $ c6 T: c. |7 [ `) S
- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library # E$ B' a/ }, r/ ~5 J+ y
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
0 k" L8 k# ?" C; ^" g- Implement a catalogue template for future use 5 |; F6 D% C0 }. e- b& m4 J
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure 7 U' p; k& L2 n/ d p+ j7 V8 Q8 _
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts

- Experience or training in library sciences preferred , C; `/ _) h7 p9 I8 C
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
