support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from 6 E4 C% C! ?" A! J% v, `" j0 T: {8 V
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video 6 g c4 `0 R5 M
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
' L K* I" ~& B$ m2 u7 cresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and / x# f6 U! t: y$ @
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern ) h; P0 K0 t$ J% h8 u
Alberta.

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
: t8 |& _# V5 t# A A6 g- y' A1 QFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as 4 y! |7 d% R, r( i% s
well as the script, magazine and book library.

Duties: $ L' \9 _4 o% s; Z
- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
2 h% P! p, Q( C7 p/ A+ ~: Y6 h- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
* t) M' C+ i4 c, r; ^- Implement a catalogue template for future use . U, N# _+ M3 t3 C. `* M
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure : ~ y8 {& S$ e
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable ! P/ {' y) _; h f, U9 K! x& l; H

- Strong organizational skills

- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
