FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the ; j: X: Q, ~. M. j1 ]
summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to

Alberta.

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from

and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a

. L' b3 r5 N" b' I( mscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

7 L5 s! |6 M J/ g/ iJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
4 `5 R4 d" q, t: f8 i9 Y: eFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as 6 s2 ~9 K! O5 U9 g# w# Q
well as the script, magazine and book library. 3 A* h8 |2 c2 E) z* b8 U+ X! ?& O

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library * G+ h9 Q2 H6 b6 n
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books + S; M* \2 m9 f6 Q
- Implement a catalogue template for future use

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

0 V( n; A( r6 }& N- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
7 F- x* T, o3 V- Strong organizational skills
/ T/ T T7 x3 S3 r6 M- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
