summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to

Alberta.

and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a 7 s- A7 z; L, K
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and * M+ q3 K9 E' Q# _0 C* O+ ^
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern 7 g; r1 s& l( ^0 h

! t% f2 n: f! uJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
: p; z0 q% T: s$ x: u5 ZFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as , ^# ~( R) s1 {6 M
well as the script, magazine and book library. # }1 C( u ~) \$ b/ U

Duties: " ~! w# o& v9 O. W- J/ t
- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
* B3 m+ b+ R0 g3 X# s- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books : j/ O- |: o7 ]0 o4 j& x
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
J$ H+ Z5 a6 @5 m/ a0 d9 z) R- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure 7 p1 a, c6 @% |9 v8 ] z
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable 0 T% W# E# d2 N7 [5 p$ v; {

secondary training, university preferred

- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks

- U/ u" R: `6 S- Experience or training in library sciences preferred & b( `! u' ^8 C+ V9 J; T

- Strong team player abilities ( s, q3 H0 O3 J6 w2 Z
- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
