FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from ' E2 X* ^4 v& F

and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a / D' [. z3 L/ L8 \" M2 S
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and - Q. ~. w% d! O
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern 2 a3 \9 U1 |" y& L# B, }8 P3 R# x

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the ) c! ]6 @9 ~$ \+ r# {+ B' n
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as . V& {3 N; h, p7 q2 G7 F
well as the script, magazine and book library.

Duties: T) C! H" |7 s9 f/ w1 k
- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
% [5 r, G5 Q5 m* v- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books 2 s8 f) n3 l/ s. W4 C
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
, D6 S3 N$ L' K9 [( o- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure 1 o M5 |0 V, z- t: `
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Funding for this position is provided by the Summer Temporary Employment Program

secondary training, university preferred J% M: }9 J- h
- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week / g% h3 m; t9 P
- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts

- Strong team player abilities
