summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to & u7 q4 d) n/ \% y4 Z: u
support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from

and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a ; q! R# Z. P% S$ P7 ~5 ^4 i3 M
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
1 Z: o. r! G. l- B! ~screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the % I; i9 C8 W e& v
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as * e5 j0 `) F/ Z1 g# U1 f, @
well as the script, magazine and book library.

Duties: / _8 e2 ?: R0 I% e
- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
. Y9 P! n \3 q8 ~- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books ) Q. W# s: Z p4 D7 V
- Implement a catalogue template for future use 4 Y# s2 j/ \. B2 }! {
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure # l( o8 J$ P- h2 G6 k4 E5 a7 P
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:

- Strong organizational skills
& N, e: g+ x/ d3 r- Experience or training in library sciences preferred ( f* ?! N/ V% n! F9 b. r( I
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal 8 F( x% @! G) J9 k
- Strong team player abilities , Y) N* Y" K; \7 @9 ~
- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors ) J1 a. }. E' B0 c
