support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from / I; u1 f* W2 z
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
9 i- L3 A% a* s; Zand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
/ z: L+ }& B/ h7 N4 _" Vresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and ! k+ {4 r' Y U; {9 F
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern 8 f5 I9 c; ~9 W: \# E

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
% s; o! P2 s0 Q7 x1 a8 ]2 lFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as ' H: \0 V3 V# a! ?5 l
well as the script, magazine and book library.

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library $ Y1 y# |: v0 z, C x
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books ' T7 S/ T" b1 Q, {6 \/ X3 |
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
6 O/ H: b" C+ n6 W, C- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure % i6 l# s W: Q6 J9 G) E
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: 5 o# w+ ] X' s+ I7 O8 S0 J4 F
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts + e+ S) v5 \; k- ~
- Strong organizational skills 2 t6 p+ W; m1 C3 y/ ?
- Experience or training in library sciences preferred 1 ^0 k: s/ `) J6 Q* N
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal

- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
