8 c u! d5 y/ B; A2 c' pFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from . b0 d! [; D$ ?- G4 V3 C- n
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video 6 `4 M7 t, n! `# ~+ Z
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
. X& s$ d; I5 B) Z9 \9 N5 s! cresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and # {" e+ z/ l+ ^. t2 q( T9 C; w
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the 9 \% E% ?% L( d) b6 J
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
$ m+ i. ]$ ~$ P* b9 u" m) P+ d$ @well as the script, magazine and book library. 5 A8 k: g( ?& p# I0 J) H* R% m

Duties:
, ?' |4 {0 T! [ `7 {0 B8 m; P( h- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
z9 O' q3 V4 ~( y4 G( W- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books + q6 M0 K) [! | N8 K' Z. F
- Implement a catalogue template for future use . w2 L4 t9 ~8 {7 R
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
5 K. M$ ?, c4 g) z( y- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable
! }* i7 D3 I! i$ }( n2 C$ o2 Z + s R: e; G2 B$ Y' i

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: 0 m+ R! _; M+ c+ [- E. L, t
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts ( E! n1 H- t6 e! C1 {( Q2 d4 K
- Strong organizational skills
: u" Q& ~* D# a& x M" X/ p' R- Experience or training in library sciences preferred $ r; q- v! B" C9 p9 m
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal 1 k9 f, v D8 j! f
- Strong team player abilities
