summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to ' E7 a/ }1 R T( K W7 }0 W
support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern 4 `; y$ O0 {+ O1 X+ a2 K
Alberta. ! R4 ^, Y& `" D% J2 s
8 V. O! T! i) D" pFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from k2 W* s" C8 _/ p
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video % b. s8 p" H) Z# A: e
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
9 b% z) }0 {7 j) q# \- tresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
8 m6 l2 m1 N: cscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the ' a- g5 i4 Q8 J+ C( h
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
: ~! K8 x7 G0 @. x' Rwell as the script, magazine and book library.

) E4 M/ i1 Y" l: s, B# ?- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library # {: ?3 h: z' a" X' V
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
3 Q" H; [( N8 r9 j; q6 W' P% b- Implement a catalogue template for future use - _$ @6 u: n' E! j R, d
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure + Y V: l7 S$ s r' W
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable . S: V+ s, A6 D* k/ H/ F! Z

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
- ~: U$ O7 l+ b; Q5 K: G- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
5 D+ ] E$ @3 ~5 [4 z+ O; Z R- Strong organizational skills 5 M6 f7 G, _* x3 |6 B3 ~! W" M
- Experience or training in library sciences preferred

- Strong team player abilities
