FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from 7 x7 }+ a. x! C% T; _. O
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
g8 {+ v" B8 Y6 y4 K; [1 v4 Aand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a ' t, M, |6 K1 V3 M+ [
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
5 w! J0 }5 X+ ^( X4 tscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern ; J' v+ Z3 w3 r( c. m1 t2 B( K# \

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the 1 j1 R- G8 F% ]9 w7 T
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as * t- A5 A2 o0 C+ u( c1 B
well as the script, magazine and book library.

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library , A4 ^7 F% e7 k, m% l. P! y
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books * f2 P: Y# Q& q9 }
- Implement a catalogue template for future use $ J9 u/ \$ J* L' w3 |( f$ e3 V
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
$ E7 a; N. c6 u3 P" E3 M- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts

- Experience or training in library sciences preferred ( ], I& f1 H* [3 T u
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal

+ Q+ k0 x6 m& M- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
