FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the
' c* Q8 w. O g$ G) C7 p* L# Msummer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to ) l: s1 Q6 ~1 ^- Q: D* f
support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern ! F/ _/ \, P/ n5 ]

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from _3 O8 F8 P( @2 ?" O
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
( _7 E* ~0 R& l5 c4 z+ U6 Hand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
8 C9 X0 w$ [4 R( U: i; U0 JFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as # u: v6 V5 K7 g5 D: \
well as the script, magazine and book library.

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library 3 a4 ^1 h- n2 d v) F9 J' ~. d
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books + X2 O7 H- n0 O. O$ B- W" D
- Implement a catalogue template for future use $ K( Y* Z$ S2 l7 z0 I1 \
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure ' J, I1 ?" v2 _8 h! d
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
- O j1 ~& H0 T$ U" N) W- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts 6 d% @2 ^& T) K) F, h
- Strong organizational skills
* ^* W$ B3 i. b0 z, X, L6 K1 D- Experience or training in library sciences preferred

- Strong team player abilities 3 V8 @3 s$ y1 @7 a* U
- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
