summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to

: ^' ]# i' r: e& s) N4 }emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video 8 m0 a7 e9 y2 ^- ]. W5 ?5 _
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
& _& c' x0 V, I, z# gresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

# E4 k, L% f6 E1 d kJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the $ u% g6 }0 J3 B$ D' V8 r4 Y
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
1 ?. l& b1 g- Qwell as the script, magazine and book library. - ^& E& ~, Q& R' ]+ j% Q6 _6 }9 v

Duties:
0 N# h+ n. ]' D1 l& x# G, ?- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library " z V; V' k' r- A; a
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
6 V, B; v: _, u( n; l8 y- Implement a catalogue template for future use 7 w7 b1 T- o4 u
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure - e8 I+ ?& |; z, U: o/ X- j
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

secondary training, university preferred

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
9 p# a+ v3 R8 p- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts 9 y& L' f' ]$ c2 A3 W
- Strong organizational skills
% s9 b/ p6 z8 @4 b g G( y- Experience or training in library sciences preferred 4 ^- H. a% v% ?. C/ L$ c4 [# S! I+ V* C
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal % f8 J. ~2 ^$ V& {
- Strong team player abilities 0 q5 f* R( m8 V& V
- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors 1 z3 }7 d6 ]8 q% ~: u' _) _
