summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to 3 Y' F& r h) U/ m. |5 t+ {
support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video E* H6 W7 m" T* ` t; t5 s( ]; z
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a $ @! o( Y4 ^! Q! F- ?
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and , c# {$ K! x0 {: g% A2 x/ Q$ @2 M- }
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the ; T7 k0 t0 B/ W
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
. @* ?) t. Q- u) c+ R" v& ^well as the script, magazine and book library. 9 z" @, N( X# H4 \# Y
+ q3 A, C( z# N; w4 a" _
Duties: , v8 ]7 Q1 D( _9 u& \; ]
- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library ; z$ G! @9 n$ }3 n- j
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books & f2 u0 H9 f3 V" e+ U
- Implement a catalogue template for future use 0 W0 v7 d J. F( t
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure $ o; D) o( I+ x2 J0 j0 K! O
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable 1 y# c9 x) F' ?4 K. Z

- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks

- Strong organizational skills 9 k' E& {0 o% E' p" j6 N
- Experience or training in library sciences preferred ! d/ s6 C U" s6 f' B9 c8 D
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
