# ^7 w! r# |- L1 Y* Qsummer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to

emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video 6 E, z+ K8 s8 j- `3 k
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a $ M+ \' @. h' F
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and 1 X7 ~, a7 K+ ]* L
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

5 ^# h+ n/ u3 a- z3 i% [+ SJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the % p) u( {- K7 l) {+ H: Q
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as # D2 g B! F3 t9 W
well as the script, magazine and book library.

Duties:
7 A/ `. m+ A+ k8 E! U6 n- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
6 _ ?$ B8 b! `/ `6 B- z5 _! }- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books 2 A9 N4 q7 t" \! f- I: f
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
$ h! }, ?& m1 @4 {) {- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
7 q1 s5 i) Y: U' E; u( H- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

secondary training, university preferred

- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
) |; K9 _% ~# t1 ?- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts , _: j1 h( l$ [* Q
- Strong organizational skills
% B0 j9 `6 P! x( f% ]- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
9 F3 [; g7 D. k. m+ B" |! L8 ^" ~- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
