summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to
. w8 B3 v+ ^5 Z, D# d, Q- I D2 \support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern 4 D/ @9 H* S/ I( F) l5 @8 z

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
2 k j% v7 R i* f5 ^4 o/ remerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
% H+ |; V% c3 y9 C! ]% Nand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a 5 R/ _7 q& C8 C
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
$ D% T. N# z9 qscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

. ?; e# D2 d1 xJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the ) u' _, {) g z; ]+ a0 l6 s$ g
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
! Q9 J) X. q5 N% s( d4 |2 xwell as the script, magazine and book library.

Duties:
. y& k2 G- t9 v% {! A* K1 A2 _) h- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library / b8 C( a! _/ o
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books 9 E$ B5 X( {2 q& g! N% J6 c
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
5 H8 s f$ R3 P) e- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure 4 ^: l6 |% v* O4 ]! D7 a& n
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable $ ?- D; B* r8 a) U/ e

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-

- Strong organizational skills
