FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the & d4 q/ e0 q z

support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a & X8 s% x1 w) L) c" E4 j% K
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the 0 X8 ]- q. p' l, Q( |1 a
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
& ^% h5 v3 `: J( w* f5 b( Nwell as the script, magazine and book library. w9 w" W! b3 ]: i* z- v" o

Duties: $ m- X1 W( [) d$ W2 S/ n1 {
- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
+ P2 a7 @+ y0 e& [- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books ' Q# S s9 o) T+ C
- Implement a catalogue template for future use 6 K# R) {4 g+ I7 ~' S, p' o& V1 \
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-

' D2 M# G: {1 r9 i, f- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

2 L3 m+ p( o; x1 rQualifications: The ideal candidate will have: 7 E' p# e& s) c" T7 @
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts

- Experience or training in library sciences preferred

- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
