Alberta.

0 F- V7 R" b E ]FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from

and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
3 o( d6 f) l+ K- y. qresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and & |1 P+ o! |. P5 V, b
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the # f8 e* u, h+ @6 p- q2 ]0 e
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as 0 X# c0 Y5 _6 U
well as the script, magazine and book library. + B2 C; w/ X: v1 S* \
# K' ^3 j6 d, ]7 b6 h- L& H
Duties:
4 @5 e% Y( e: f+ p$ x4 q( E- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
- n8 s+ M4 z% E$ B$ E- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books - H. q4 b6 f5 O" g: `' F
- Implement a catalogue template for future use % p) Y: m( r' W7 Q! m, d* H- Y
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
8 L/ Y3 R' J' w- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable 6 `/ }; c, R) N* p

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-- A. f4 _1 A1 |2 g# z8 ?: x
secondary training, university preferred

- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks

- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
. z* \, V/ ^$ S3 x# m4 n; T2 x- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal

- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
