summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to : S2 P; ~0 P l+ A$ h+ V
support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
; J* e4 f; Q" M" k3 E. Lemerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video ( N+ F8 |, x; P
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
8 _0 a/ U# q, d# r: G' Uresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
8 a+ v/ Q. O4 H2 T& j' Vscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
2 B9 O4 r* O! E6 P# u4 {0 g3 vFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
5 p* l. s: n- L2 d$ p% n. d+ O% E0 k: Ewell as the script, magazine and book library.

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
* J C$ D6 f. a9 p) l- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
! x0 i/ Z6 y3 ]% Z' z0 H V7 z1 G- Implement a catalogue template for future use
8 X! E% x3 ~5 C; g0 h- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
+ X# o" i/ t" i' m8 @" c- [ b+ ^- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable ' ~7 v% }! ^# D1 x

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: @0 k1 R1 I6 x: Q g! P
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts 1 e2 ]: M3 f' T# z) O9 ^
- Strong organizational skills
, \( O0 l& l2 X$ M+ Y1 I$ E1 x' M- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
