FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the
1 _( F7 M. w3 _' L$ Z1 csummer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to ; K& W; d7 b5 T; O& P1 R3 T; V
support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern 4 R$ p3 v$ p" [" G2 y. p7 Z( F5 ^
Alberta.

emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video ( K* q5 R; u* l9 U; j7 \
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
$ T* K% ~5 p) c, b7 Z6 Mresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and % k1 ?, x e8 C' d0 ^0 Y* \
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as + F0 _2 R: U& Q9 [
well as the script, magazine and book library. * K7 R! Z9 Y9 C

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
3 h5 d8 z7 A0 p! k) k. o# N- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
. E% G" H9 ~( E/ {- Implement a catalogue template for future use
. |7 |8 W. m& [1 x2 }+ z- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure 5 S/ t3 z4 h' d! q V
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable " U% I7 q4 p D7 B1 R" c: h, z( n

- Strong organizational skills
