summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from

, e& T, v! [" s5 E( zand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
3 c. i" G& R: h' k4 U) Xresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
# L+ [8 [( g0 ~1 yscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
# F1 L6 ^0 _9 P* \/ c6 ?FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
# F. I& D1 V G2 h, s1 Twell as the script, magazine and book library.

- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books 2 [) w. q4 Z! A
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
: z% t% J: R: s% q- P; W- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure ! B9 h, I. u% b8 O7 f
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
% M R% _" I6 N2 f" u5 E; l- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts / g/ G4 e# V. a$ {2 ~% { V1 [8 S
- Strong organizational skills
0 W6 [7 j8 }7 f% D8 n) \' f- Experience or training in library sciences preferred # }7 H- q a5 e) {
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal

- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
