support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

* M' [0 s$ ], KFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
0 V* B4 i* N0 t$ }$ pemerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
( M1 O2 u, e( F3 p- W5 y) f6 E; dand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a 1 \0 u7 {- n- w. `
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
: Y# V7 I. z/ p- W {% K0 zFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
1 d! e6 c6 f) R* N- i! g: \7 Z/ bwell as the script, magazine and book library.

Duties:
' d% a' d* F# L- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library . A) Y+ z5 r% k$ u2 [* @' z0 e
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books # V+ x9 B& C) X$ q3 U* m
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
& i @/ F1 g5 g- a* f. @& g, ^4 P- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
3 t8 i5 T+ d% O8 {' J- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable v; n q3 G8 t; j4 s# {" D

secondary training, university preferred

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:

- Strong organizational skills
& C7 a r' [, W, C- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
# F2 B! C* c2 S( r9 B. ?+ B- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal 7 `( d9 D# `6 ~
- Strong team player abilities 7 a. M" o' t% H: r) D& `/ X5 _& O
- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
