FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the

support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern S1 J$ A3 l, |( z( T
Alberta.

& R0 ^( w% u5 U- M6 P4 W% S& yFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from

and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
% f2 A$ r$ A/ H$ tresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and 6 J5 ]9 e% g8 a0 i' k
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

1 q0 b9 \- N1 k4 Y3 r* B aJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the & F4 I: z$ B/ ~3 y
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as 2 K2 S$ V* r# U, i
well as the script, magazine and book library. 9 E% r# n- b! J( a5 J: G
9 L0 b3 K6 J; A$ v/ `
Duties:
: y+ y) |* G7 x0 y- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
# F: B. C ^- S" S8 c4 U# `. b. G- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
& _# C; D6 U) C$ y, h- Implement a catalogue template for future use ! K0 a1 y% x9 W( m! D1 Q
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
/ `, M! y- c; V5 J- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable ( i$ t& o* O3 C, @8 z

secondary training, university preferred

- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks

- Experience or training in library sciences preferred - l/ @' T. q. z3 P% M
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
