support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern - f5 D% O& \% w* O* n n
Alberta.

emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
1 V" k: T# f, {and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
" t- R! K0 ]0 W1 _# Lresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
2 J* d e) I* jscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern , o1 {* S7 }: e* a( C$ G
Alberta.

, q! R; Y2 R h' \) c. A9 WJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the 2 H1 p5 N# g$ r% k
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as 0 i$ Q# p3 I! H, |! H3 F
well as the script, magazine and book library.

v; s$ Y0 p5 @& F- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library / I* m1 Q& f) L; O. }% A
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
- y; x9 w) X3 W$ L1 X- Implement a catalogue template for future use
. l$ X/ d {* C ~4 S, L% W- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure " P! _2 \/ O+ Q8 J. ]+ M. p
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week ) m( r- Y5 F5 V D+ X
- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks , ^1 ?) I% f6 q

% ^# F- f# j9 |- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts % m' e" g/ ^( E% s" D
- Strong organizational skills / h M9 L2 E! d
- Experience or training in library sciences preferred & {; L k$ u1 n5 [# c2 V6 w
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal + `- n0 }- Q0 _/ e7 h" c1 _: M
- Strong team player abilities
