FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the
5 Z# d+ ?# J3 x4 |summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to . \8 |% e, Q+ B- K0 {) E
support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from H2 U" c# |5 u" y6 L5 U
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
. m1 O: y; l0 d, i. y ?! Zand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a # r! ~7 H; V, _) O5 G
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
% Y0 W4 a# i. `+ C( N _4 zscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern + J4 p/ ^6 h5 B+ m# B; g5 D6 X

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
" X0 B% r6 z8 s7 | uFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
7 Q) Q" R$ O7 q, f) {well as the script, magazine and book library.

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
! D: \6 U$ \$ L# [+ D5 i, t- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
4 [- W: }% Z6 F+ p; r) W# t7 o- Implement a catalogue template for future use 9 {) v- ]3 }4 K! p; M6 I% V# e
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:

- Strong organizational skills
- w$ B+ \# X. e3 B( V1 N3 I- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
