summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to : \' |' ^- |/ i T- C* j5 ^* [
support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from $ L o/ i1 d. O! O

and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a " a: }5 ]& h7 j+ m! v
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and * X7 y. k, O v& U5 O2 s. g
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as 1 V( G% B, V% D/ E
well as the script, magazine and book library. / t& P) x0 K7 `. j5 `/ Y

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
1 E% s5 @& ?0 d; A- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
/ Q- A$ w% r k/ X# |- Implement a catalogue template for future use
$ M& l2 i6 d) [- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week 4 o. E! ~5 C. s- \8 E" \% R
- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: - \# T8 a c* K$ i& o; U
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
& W4 J m8 b" `# s- Strong organizational skills ( D( [9 W4 p) Q8 n! b
- Experience or training in library sciences preferred 0 G$ [; }2 X$ R4 I
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
! @1 x$ w( s( H* A' A: N$ ~. q- |4 @- Strong team player abilities - w9 E3 R2 c: w) ]3 g- Q2 n
- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
