FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the
7 X+ [ l+ s. k- a( E1 M; @0 qsummer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to & R' Z0 H# W8 ^2 N3 T4 e
support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern / C* J" l1 y p% t
Alberta.

resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the 8 E3 S. H; i4 V6 j6 V) W; f
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as , r3 A' ]# f& i& z ~ J' S' B
well as the script, magazine and book library.

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
2 `* ~! E5 K) c5 T) p1 j- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
3 N- {+ z4 B, f" m$ r- Implement a catalogue template for future use 7 ?" Q$ _5 A, q* u
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure

secondary training, university preferred 6 i8 B4 o ^. d! N! G3 H' A( E5 ^0 w
- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts & g9 {4 Q7 `8 Z+ R3 i
- Strong organizational skills
2 x- e9 x4 @4 r6 F6 H1 I- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
; r K2 [2 l6 I! t- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
