summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from

, `: H0 [7 S" d$ V6 J& rand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
1 k5 J5 m; i4 {( }resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
0 k! W0 k) C9 C. F# z. pscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the % f# ]1 g: K4 y _5 u
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as $ v: E4 t8 G' a
well as the script, magazine and book library.

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
5 ?9 S0 ^7 `' n: {; P# u- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books * Z5 t9 d" M) {% v; X
- Implement a catalogue template for future use X& C. _$ |. V) D0 i+ s' M
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
0 J8 e$ l' Q( h) n7 `: K- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable , ?- {8 |1 L% p* Z: r& H, c

- Funding for this position is provided by the Summer Temporary Employment Program

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-) q, s& m: g2 o4 i/ ^
secondary training, university preferred
