summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to
* u0 X% t0 f0 m; C) Q. b& f* m2 Msupport the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from 6 d/ t; g4 C+ M `
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video 3 |4 ^. L( b2 e1 n4 o2 b
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
5 R4 Z, V4 m* c" ~( l" a6 Presource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
; E4 {" k" M+ O% M* ?7 ]$ lscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern : y1 U5 V# @* H/ v
Alberta.

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the , d. b1 V3 Z; S/ a$ E
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
/ C. l C3 h4 t6 P E6 }% Owell as the script, magazine and book library.

Duties: 5 g; L* }5 n. P2 R+ |2 n
- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library $ D. R" ?* v7 @; v7 G2 \
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books * B; \3 e* y. ?! U3 n# U
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
7 N! w% Y- J, y2 f! v- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure 1 T" t& o" B" [! l3 H
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable * C6 s& V+ p7 C) P& f

secondary training, university preferred , u" \0 B5 J5 y$ a- z
- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:

- Strong organizational skills
& T0 k! Y/ [+ ~* }- Experience or training in library sciences preferred 0 x( A9 C2 V5 o4 Z) v, O
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal * @' V. U+ m* v( {* ~+ W# G
- Strong team player abilities
