summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to 6 {" ]* a4 B% C7 @# q: b( e% o
support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern & t- }- H, j! U& I

; ~' N4 h, [& x. MFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
1 T$ ~/ r2 L/ f3 Y* U! q: U" bemerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
0 ?$ q* Q* i, [0 O* land media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a

screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

( p6 A# s+ G" |- I4 u: WJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the & d; p+ d+ h; S% [# j) l- x
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as ' n) s, K4 x( c- Y1 A' O) p
well as the script, magazine and book library.

Duties:
4 O# K* C( T8 _6 ?& P- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
: }6 `+ _# ?, _2 T" `- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
3 V8 _/ ~7 A2 X' D2 d8 n# i- Implement a catalogue template for future use
, D% `! d0 Y5 ^) b- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
- i. Q8 M; B: V3 _+ |- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable 2 |$ l" l) t* B

secondary training, university preferred

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts

- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
