FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the

support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern ' ]/ Y8 P: R6 ~! |: W

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from 7 T8 Y$ T' k5 d
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video K2 K- S6 r) U! o! @$ f
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a ; T+ `7 t; E* E% A
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and 9 f! u; v z9 W6 d `% f
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern 9 ]; Z# I9 M$ r

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the ( C) ?% W" [4 e6 B5 d; d( Z2 O' l* C Z8 }
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as - K6 P7 x' t$ z
well as the script, magazine and book library. $ `+ @9 Z8 S) l

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
; t" n6 f6 ~+ Q: A/ H" Y/ [( E. g- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
; z' v0 A& H# W! c8 ]) O7 _- Implement a catalogue template for future use

- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable / t) `8 c% @" H3 k

, d# e2 Y, s. ]% _& FQualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
7 Y. I& T& G3 e+ F( }" `& v- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
4 w( H2 l$ a E- K) W- Strong organizational skills
- x0 r) R& c' f* o& C- @- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
% f3 i# M" ~( G6 d- t- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
