support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern # J4 ~/ P# c6 c7 ^1 O9 E( H1 L+ E

. k$ u& b" C4 Z1 A( ~0 g# YFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from ) ?7 M. }* u' h6 r$ r) B
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
0 }4 R( T8 w* |% e; \# ]% b$ {and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a . E( ?& k8 D5 x/ B f. m
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
; u1 E9 b4 o/ k5 F+ y5 i. Sscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the 8 O/ r, Y1 ~2 Z* g7 o
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as $ w9 l( _& Z& c$ C2 j
well as the script, magazine and book library. ) Y* E! s0 e5 w
. A; C( g0 ^" w( ?Duties:
; i! f3 k8 v; c& O& d- C- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
+ j1 Q) Y9 |! g; h7 t- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
$ s0 k t: _& ]8 i, _- Implement a catalogue template for future use - i1 N9 q4 V. U$ T
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure 9 G5 X9 I4 `. |4 q
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: $ b) @# K* Y! a# U
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts + W& \& t5 d( {! h9 A0 ]' t0 X9 a
- Strong organizational skills
3 L# L) A% ^- A$ h+ ~- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
