FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the 0 f0 B6 O3 A; I+ Q
summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to 4 X" t6 l2 K1 Z6 O, }5 c
support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from % U' l) D' w' h+ P* d
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video % N" W4 @" x. X: w0 a' G
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
% T( [. @ |. g( o+ Gresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
' w3 S# Z0 Z5 rscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern 8 Q+ P5 T) K. g+ d
Alberta.

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
, q! F& b1 U" l s, ?FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as ) f8 [7 r, D6 Z/ v3 w' X' S
well as the script, magazine and book library.

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
+ y; U4 B3 ^" s. u1 |- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
3 I+ V& ^" V) i: f0 r- Implement a catalogue template for future use " Q( F$ h! a2 R8 M1 l5 j
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
# ^4 ?+ s0 W! Z. s$ p- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

- Strong organizational skills
