FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the

5 ], q) ~' G C# S0 v# PFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
- g. G% I8 M: F; l' _1 \8 `emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video 1 n; n1 |% _" z
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
8 h0 p4 b: h- D0 A9 X1 hresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
8 k9 J$ M: @8 E. }screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern " {* [5 {+ i2 ~

8 d3 M; k% i! q; X' S) ], sJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
) a: G6 ]# L" e* \2 H; U" NFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as " {4 [+ k7 ]+ w7 E
well as the script, magazine and book library.

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
6 ]/ E4 B. m6 a% g2 `4 V& h4 @ W- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books 1 I8 P# x5 k, j5 h- C8 T
- Implement a catalogue template for future use 3 [0 q% I8 X, n$ r: l
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure & Z4 O; {; q8 q! h) }
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:

- Strong organizational skills , C5 }. p$ ?, g7 ~8 u7 H( l
- Experience or training in library sciences preferred

- Strong team player abilities - a7 o7 c$ Z& N% Y' ^) H; @
- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
