FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the 9 l/ W+ E$ J7 C8 W2 H$ W5 ?
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
( S0 Y9 V3 s7 i' Y5 i' @well as the script, magazine and book library. 0 y. q. Z& `) b/ B5 H. C3 q
: A/ q; V) L5 }) Y4 w; }Duties:
7 f8 N) U3 v8 t% {% ?; X8 z- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library 3 I: j* f; R" l
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
$ d N- O; M& q4 b, Q, {7 s- Implement a catalogue template for future use 2 i% W# I! v0 ^& E: N2 H
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
O/ L/ \" {+ H$ a0 t- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable 2 @4 a' x3 K* p' |4 k, S

- Funding for this position is provided by the Summer Temporary Employment Program

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-
+ Y7 E( Z. ~- o5 a# M6 Wsecondary training, university preferred
$ _4 J8 b/ F/ x0 q o- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week
+ |6 Y8 o7 K4 ?6 v- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks ; U( r9 G1 Q- O6 N( o

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
2 g; h3 B8 g% \8 y- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts 2 m+ g$ t. Z/ Z
- Strong organizational skills 3 A4 P& s1 A+ V- O$ x; u6 }
- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
n0 [2 U% t9 g- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
/ h9 O) j+ x- Q; | S: m- Strong team player abilities ; ]" O9 |3 R" W
- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors 1 N8 x% c5 p' r a
