summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from / n' n3 p7 ^8 ?' @
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video 9 }: I. F7 `) \8 k
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a 4 D3 G8 U2 }, p/ J& ?+ G, L0 t) b
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and ' r1 U' w$ u |6 t$ r0 M
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern 6 _' K v. F2 m

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
; o/ V7 U2 ]: yFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
) Z. \+ W$ s) H! x5 p) kwell as the script, magazine and book library.

" M: W" E8 W& r) z" ]* s4 f- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library % ^6 H7 w- r# w+ |9 v) n
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books 2 b3 P7 f5 v. l5 L0 ]
- Implement a catalogue template for future use * E1 q L0 T. g! V/ f! D
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
/ W7 M' \) _' w. x$ {, y) K$ ]- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-

- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
