) J% F+ a6 \. y0 F: @3 y4 y& A1 d- Iand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a , y: \. G3 y& H' w
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and ' Z4 o7 ?) l# `7 b
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

b$ G9 W1 b% v2 g7 oJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
; _0 y! B+ K) _3 T: LFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
^* k' H- i$ |3 X5 h6 `well as the script, magazine and book library. ! Z- k: V0 e" h# c9 C; K, `7 ]$ x

Duties:
0 Y* U- r; R4 O! r. x- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library ( F; u) E3 ?; H7 N* T
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
# b3 |* T/ ]: \% B% I- Implement a catalogue template for future use
' f( n4 C( y; Z, [& v& e/ e- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure : h% J* g0 ?/ t7 g
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable 6 s0 J p& H% H) U- a4 \, C

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: # Y2 j4 O+ a' |! B) F
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts " C( ]4 o8 |! \+ O
- Strong organizational skills
. g9 D/ h/ Q* O. b8 d: @& a- Experience or training in library sciences preferred 1 q+ l3 I% T x2 _9 l. l! r
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
