FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the ; i' b+ Q3 d; x5 Z. _! P A% @

support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

& l$ k. M- R& O4 E' GJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
8 [1 M/ R: Q- t6 TFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as , b( [3 C4 s9 S: Q* g
well as the script, magazine and book library. 1 N8 z+ I( n) I! h; z0 s

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library 5 j$ }# O7 a8 x1 N6 T- g: \
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
3 g: s# c, l. T" {- Implement a catalogue template for future use
2 Y! k; s9 w" h- J$ B) U; _- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure / m% f3 V. L1 j& F' x4 P
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

( g- e# U7 V& g- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-% K" @5 p0 | G* T: d9 d, V) `
secondary training, university preferred ; H6 b y/ k( K7 b& G% Z/ n7 R
- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week
& `! M' k' R% l7 K' M. i p- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:

2 X/ j' ^0 X2 t- s( p6 X- Strong organizational skills
( }& J- a! t _- Experience or training in library sciences preferred / e+ X3 `: c+ i% i
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal $ g' g" v( X" J! J9 o. J
- Strong team player abilities / c$ G; V: u$ b |- |8 `5 T
