summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from 7 J- S2 C: F# ~$ ], I5 M8 R- D
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
; j2 x7 f/ g; z/ L! oand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
* K0 i1 y5 D0 E: m* J8 s- [, ~resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and 2 ]* \% R$ D, g0 i
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
$ t- H" r: t: TFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
* u" p+ p% t% z$ `( M4 vwell as the script, magazine and book library.

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library " x" b7 p; b5 H, [# @& L2 i
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
1 f& r$ T U; I# R6 x# E0 j- Implement a catalogue template for future use
7 f ^7 }5 X4 V8 {, }7 e" K: ?- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
, K( @0 P4 G2 t3 c. }: C- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable 3 l3 D6 t$ f% R2 m

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:

- Strong organizational skills
. Y( `! M, {( G- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
