summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to

emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video $ }$ Z: H* Z3 }# g) ^
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
: J5 p& `6 a- X* P9 r7 Mresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and * ~- K i: C$ p/ L" E, R
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern 3 }3 u' ^$ T K, P

2 A& [+ D# n1 |4 M. kJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the ! \* T. E0 F7 G
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
. Q+ L+ O" {& y" ?5 T! c- Owell as the script, magazine and book library. ' G3 z4 H k! E+ g9 y6 {: S

Duties:
9 y, z' q$ w: w' e- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
, y# v) c1 F) U* }' Q4 P- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books 7 c. F' P6 x7 x% m
- Implement a catalogue template for future use : ^( @' G/ _+ ^: y9 a' v) T
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure ! O2 }; @1 R6 f( J7 ^4 \. R
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week & q6 h- o" B/ C( s9 b. \

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
- z8 m2 \- c4 l5 f' g6 d- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts 9 {& D- a" J- B* A/ v& h6 E
- Strong organizational skills 5 K$ Z! O6 b6 ^, I; ^1 w7 {
- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
