9 K5 P3 C4 K2 bFAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the
9 c, V7 f& K* s* t* gsummer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to & `7 H0 ^; C# {7 R
support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern # y, N0 G8 y. G
Alberta.

, B+ H/ j4 |' m) d5 f5 [FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
0 |" j$ ?5 h2 q3 `emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
3 y) M& Z# t$ f. r$ \and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a # q+ Z# u( o/ n* [
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and + s9 L0 n3 Z1 p4 l; @' t/ X
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the % ]& _! F. q5 H+ A' B5 j
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as - c2 h( O7 K% w% @8 F
well as the script, magazine and book library.

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library : O2 X/ Z# o0 m* N. n- f) o
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books " H2 B5 g# F& Z: y
- Implement a catalogue template for future use $ W w* a: i; S3 s n H9 t
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure 9 ^% L" v4 _; K, z4 Z' _
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks

- Strong organizational skills

- Strong team player abilities
