FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the f9 n4 }, p1 o$ X. l" ]
summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to
0 Z% x& V0 z/ M9 e/ Vsupport the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern / n* ^, z% Y- T- {9 c

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
% f( [3 ], ^$ \1 X# eemerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
+ Z$ d7 n7 S6 Y- xand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a & c1 B- B' t8 V2 n) F% p7 o! L
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and & w' @$ X3 h1 ]! r) p: g
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as 4 J6 a. L5 C, @9 [
well as the script, magazine and book library.

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
% k) `9 [- K) ~8 ]- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
0 Y5 U5 H: G/ P! P- Implement a catalogue template for future use
S1 T3 ^: a J9 C& p$ R4 L- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure " R% x# ~2 O1 O0 l& P) l4 u
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

secondary training, university preferred

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts

- Experience or training in library sciences preferred

- Strong team player abilities
