FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from - o( u. o/ w* Z
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
; {6 }$ b) d# a! o! land media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
( ^+ E' U) }- z* {8 _2 v7 Yresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
6 i9 I3 y; C M1 e9 rscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

2 \' b; T) M9 h8 |) b+ v- _1 lJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
K+ S/ P8 {' n! ]FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as 4 B0 }3 P+ h, M
well as the script, magazine and book library. ; b0 f0 A! }1 @
) W3 J8 k) G; X% g. Y5 u0 i$ i+ ]$ f1 k
Duties:
- K. e+ F$ @; A$ o3 G# s* b, X- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
5 `, P) j! `) n) h9 K6 ^3 r- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
( l0 Y; y( j7 @& J* J- Implement a catalogue template for future use ) c4 [& c: _) r4 u# W8 r
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
1 ] y: |5 G/ Q& R: T7 D- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Funding for this position is provided by the Summer Temporary Employment Program

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week 2 }5 N7 c/ X4 l n7 }0 T0 C
- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks 1 A% F6 u/ e8 m' E( h

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
* P6 X" N5 ]/ f: R" ~; d- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts 4 f* C7 S- E, p* F3 d& P
- Strong organizational skills
: I, c' A! `7 Y# K' L- Experience or training in library sciences preferred 6 `( Z s4 d$ C9 P+ E
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal 5 N$ r$ g: U: x$ A: C1 ?: c
- Strong team player abilities
