emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
: |8 J9 ]$ |4 hand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
" w6 ?0 w4 x( X0 m% r, uresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
" X$ p; Q) ^) `+ M2 V' j$ C6 kscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the ( y( F( Y' x+ N- Y% U: R
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
4 E5 p( q9 t1 S2 mwell as the script, magazine and book library.

Duties:
+ E* \0 F0 S% `* }4 _2 X& m- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library 1 O) D4 C( S' c( h# y" x
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books ) v; Z6 Q4 [( q. P2 M0 I8 f/ ^4 |; y
- Implement a catalogue template for future use + M8 a2 F$ V5 e* i9 K8 T
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure 8 m8 R/ l+ A% o$ n! K
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable , b0 k- c* T7 f' y

- Funding for this position is provided by the Summer Temporary Employment Program ; a; t1 {9 ~7 N1 ]9 t; A( a- C

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-9 H- e$ x0 m, ^( v3 Z3 v" x) \
secondary training, university preferred 3 @$ y, y# W8 L* C- G
- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
5 f% P+ \2 r) b7 h4 D4 h- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
1 A# \/ O9 |( D b* o- Strong organizational skills : L7 y, u/ e6 D+ S8 @$ E7 S
- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
4 V h1 |3 W6 S7 y0 n6 N& K" e% w- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal & h& W* U F( Y
- Strong team player abilities 0 a) k# g5 X" N- y! v: G l, v
- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
