support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern ) W7 N8 W; Y% F: l. x ]
Alberta.

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
) W' H. S! h7 U% t1 T! L1 A: memerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video / a4 q/ E: s$ X* g u4 }
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a 0 e7 i* E# b: e9 }: n4 B8 U o
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and ) q; Y8 H# w3 c
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern . {7 }3 ]8 a+ p2 Q: p

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the 6 k9 H" p5 R$ f M0 f2 y1 b
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as + ^1 Z3 |$ |% E
well as the script, magazine and book library. 5 R7 _5 d7 l" x' d
) }4 {* h* Y" T; J! o5 O8 w0 m9 \* f7 z
Duties: 8 h0 M7 i$ E( ^% B: K% U# q) W" |
- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
+ R+ E! Q" \" u- s- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
- G: W% u/ p' w) X; Z6 S5 f- m6 @' H2 O. ~- Implement a catalogue template for future use

- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: # b9 x8 E1 ~; H5 v; J( }# x
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
. u4 ]) D" F1 ?: [# e8 K- Strong organizational skills
4 @' Y$ K( F/ E( |* J) _9 n- Experience or training in library sciences preferred

- Strong team player abilities
