summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to

Alberta.

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from # x3 F* u+ h% m2 G

resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the ; `% N6 o/ \ |" V' {( a: y
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as 7 d2 S6 _9 [3 s5 D: {! l
well as the script, magazine and book library. ^+ |; \8 D$ N: o6 _% b, q& v

Duties: * o1 |# G) b8 [- i: R
- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library " ?' l2 c+ g- j2 B( a
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
/ ~" S2 y" C8 }) [- Implement a catalogue template for future use # Y& p; ?" q6 P# y1 s
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
: g& f/ B5 m5 L) w7 L- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Funding for this position is provided by the Summer Temporary Employment Program

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts 4 ]) j6 Y) u3 d L+ M9 A

- Experience or training in library sciences preferred

- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
