emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video

screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern 4 |( e" m) _! K

3 h0 l9 V" t3 _Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
" v1 r; m0 X7 V+ yFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as

Duties:
S+ [8 D! E, n9 g6 z2 |% a- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
6 y- Q) Y! M! n6 j" A: L- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books + M: G1 n# A+ v: r
- Implement a catalogue template for future use f9 ]/ l5 q4 h: `) f
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
: m; N0 J* q$ o0 R8 c- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
6 `0 k: G5 K* E. g- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
9 Z. v z0 I Y0 @. C0 }- Strong organizational skills
2 U2 N$ h4 g% _. x4 H) U* ^9 U- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
! n6 e% Z b1 A5 `- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal

- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
