FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the
" M# A6 O% i; P8 C! j6 {6 b7 gsummer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to * N- O% t# B, @- j4 w4 f# P! O
support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern
7 Q1 B/ f# l* nAlberta.

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from % t- k: S1 e8 B) ?8 V

and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
/ B% `" ?' w {) h7 @resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
- ^' M& J* M9 ~# ~$ @FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
5 o; W% Z7 O- C+ @; c( q; [# R( Zwell as the script, magazine and book library.

- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books 9 K) g a) l8 e' }$ |
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
: \& {5 A. }9 o+ Y1 C) z- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure $ I% {1 d% X6 b3 D Y8 @; C. j
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable ! @. C0 U. }+ `4 [; g; F

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

- Strong organizational skills

- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
