summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to

and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a ( O, C- ~* N( v* H# q( p
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
( e) n6 P3 n. U1 }( escreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
" }0 N7 z: \5 ]* R& ^FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as 6 m) m4 n+ e3 t; a; ?4 o$ r
well as the script, magazine and book library.

Duties:
2 O7 P1 B" b q; W# X- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
/ T* Q, }5 @- u* V4 i. y9 d- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books 7 D0 e# _ x3 \, s7 ^
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
h: B- T/ l# t6 d8 b- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure $ M# R1 K4 S1 U9 u& C/ k+ U
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable ( n! z8 v5 e6 X% H9 W3 \' r

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
) m! `0 ~% Y! V- Strong organizational skills 7 {- D( v3 C3 G V" |2 t6 a m, K
- Experience or training in library sciences preferred

- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
