summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to

# }3 s* J# _( Nand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the ; M1 U3 b: D9 M
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
; E& J: e/ G3 w' l) c+ G/ Dwell as the script, magazine and book library. * b/ I, x. Z/ `- e" C

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
5 {% i5 z; n2 `& h* e; l- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books - @1 o/ F1 H& Q
- Implement a catalogue template for future use - x* T; V* S3 a; S s; S3 K
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure 0 T: V9 p0 m' v1 r
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable % R2 r* L1 x1 \* i! d3 |

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:

- Experience or training in library sciences preferred # x! r/ L- P1 e5 ^1 s; F3 x
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal 0 m! L7 m: i V1 C7 t1 A9 C; g
- Strong team player abilities & Z& o6 G: D2 t+ G6 |/ n% D
- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
