summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to
# U- v& d" I6 C$ ^+ Rsupport the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
& ]7 R i8 E+ P; x, ~7 g: Aemerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
* N8 v* q& }( K5 w( c* @and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a 2 x7 a9 S' Z& W+ z% n! u
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

4 r8 `8 ]" w" |& K/ A$ ]Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
: u7 G/ O/ w4 d% m8 T/ U! A aFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as ' D8 S7 Q2 {+ r' v" k
well as the script, magazine and book library. 2 p/ {+ n( v) l2 J0 X

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library 2 w6 H9 S! L$ H4 u
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books + |) I8 B0 ~8 d. K
- Implement a catalogue template for future use " E: ~9 D5 D0 S g1 K0 T
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure ) l, {5 @/ ]0 Z0 O5 O. D
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Experience or training in library sciences preferred 1 a6 P# i9 N4 ]" t: Q
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
