FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the

and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a . C4 q" t9 E! ~/ K! \2 O% \
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and $ _0 T) h+ m! ~+ z/ P
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern : K; h" I# b# Q- u$ |# T

; @$ P% ?' u& n5 K6 f- E! _Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the ' d) j0 C; }7 e8 w
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as m6 H: ]( b+ m6 S1 I* |
well as the script, magazine and book library. & ]9 {4 P) Y4 \6 t- p$ `/ Y
& |3 e' ?8 }' z) Q hDuties: ; T. o* n& m* L! y3 O9 J9 t b
- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
' r% ]1 A4 f7 ^" { p0 }, v- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
9 i ^; L/ Y4 h. [) h- Implement a catalogue template for future use
3 m; M( c1 l$ D7 ]$ f) M, Z- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
/ u& Y& O) A/ ~8 W- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
6 K2 x; i1 B" p; K9 z1 Y; F- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
# N9 x. b0 v( k- Strong organizational skills
4 P b [$ j; M6 }/ L- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
. k: c5 y6 b6 q, t {7 r$ e- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
0 Z# {8 ^. t2 ~- @% `- Strong team player abilities
! G( f1 {8 \9 C g( \- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
