 FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the - w1 a: j$ u5 v$ E9 x0 T
 summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to 7 t0 B5 C- l6 V8 k) _8 K- }
 support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

 FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from 9 P( v8 Q# t# x: m# n! H2 l1 Y" X4 }
 emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video 0 c& @/ z+ b- \2 @4 G% }# u
 and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a $ ?/ y, Q+ n" T. x* x) j
 resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
 ; N$ k3 I$ x1 y3 _9 xscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

 + D) x" c" `/ lJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the 0 u# H7 H' q3 l' S
 FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
 ( X8 ?+ \2 [; ]% F3 j: w9 U; }well as the script, magazine and book library. ' l+ `! m) U" R* y% p5 }
 
 : G4 `- Y! r2 GDuties:
 7 v& W4 p; b- T1 d6 N- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
 : X# G  @! d/ e$ ?9 ]- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
 ! r8 P" P$ F" D1 o- Implement a catalogue template for future use 6 [7 s6 [( L# w9 L0 ]/ v4 g
 - Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
 ; k2 w6 x( \# x- I" t, F0 V- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

 - Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

 Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
 + ]4 H( h; l9 n- j" T; Z5 y( I- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts ! @6 a4 x1 ~; ~: C6 P+ |
 - Strong organizational skills
 " n& ?" X2 z4 T& M" x2 M6 n0 S- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
 7 f- r9 B  K" N3 ?" i: d$ ~- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
