summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from

2 h! D. F) Y* w$ Hand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a 2 T m# }1 n% g
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
) W u/ q% W% l# l: m% Wscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern ' f% A' z- R! C# r- V- f
Alberta.

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the , S! Y/ h( C/ l* ^4 t# D( i* ]
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as ' o5 s3 V# j M2 E9 m3 h
well as the script, magazine and book library.

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library - X( k0 {- F, A
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books % b% j* [& G- L( b% P# I+ T4 K
- Implement a catalogue template for future use " J) \8 ^0 m/ H3 G/ B, U
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure

- Experience or training in library sciences preferred ( n/ d6 a8 F7 E, h
