FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the 8 g/ F! D' R4 E! z( ^/ `! t
summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to

) e! z: P* b/ j; Oresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
( @% h5 _/ ^6 m7 FFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
. E# e& i; ?5 v/ I+ u( M9 W9 jwell as the script, magazine and book library. : H* q! @" V+ l+ a! `# w$ t, `

Duties:
- F+ L ~' i, F, n% W* c4 u- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
+ [0 p: r! l4 H, R* M7 |0 ~- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
. t8 t( g8 M) X/ }. o- Implement a catalogue template for future use
) o+ {# S) L) P2 N2 y, E- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure 5 \8 |# z) @8 Q& k, _
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts

- Experience or training in library sciences preferred & t/ A# M O! ^1 a. ~0 ~
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
