FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the

support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern ! e6 T! S9 B$ m+ J: m9 {

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from 6 k1 z) ]% N( `4 a: G E% A# z
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
: q" ], ?" `) C \and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
9 i" g4 M3 V! \( U& O. Rresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and / ~! J3 U5 Q" Z9 i
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

. z/ Y$ u* Q6 ^* VJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
4 t0 a( J& o* R" X* k. t9 C/ w* aFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
& ]& o! y W0 l! e7 z" O' Z! _1 k+ nwell as the script, magazine and book library.

Duties:
) e7 b: ?4 J5 K& n. W( q% p7 l( n- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library + V! m9 D+ ?( Z9 C/ K( w
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books 4 t3 a7 u, X, R6 l" S$ _) @6 x
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
& d) o" X6 q x+ I1 o' ~- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure

secondary training, university preferred

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
* ~, Q7 N+ y# g5 K, `8 P+ T; P4 A- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts ; `; A* @# R8 ~+ b M; N2 E
- Strong organizational skills
/ W4 {& q2 y8 |5 s- ^$ ~8 t- Experience or training in library sciences preferred * E9 K2 t9 I! c
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal J; L# L6 c/ g: G4 |! B( [
- Strong team player abilities
