FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from

; P7 v1 A( h# _, T* J7 H% Pand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
% R5 G5 x z- Rresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and $ \8 J3 s' l8 G, f' a# Q8 l
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern : n) ?7 j7 P3 M& g

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
; {# k8 K; [/ M& Y. L/ m. S8 _- RFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as " O" t$ B: ^5 w- J
well as the script, magazine and book library. ! S0 @, S, c* B. C1 s* |

1 S; q8 z* r( x$ {- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
! U% H* _9 }: J5 d1 N- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books x1 n4 T7 X5 F# w
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
" z' w2 f4 E. x- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure 5 I' W4 B' E$ z, a8 q2 H
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable " N" Z0 B# k$ `$ {- d$ X$ W

- Funding for this position is provided by the Summer Temporary Employment Program

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-
/ Q$ i3 f7 T0 v+ k/ Rsecondary training, university preferred

- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks

- Strong organizational skills

- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
