summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to , D- {7 P' H' E6 O# ?8 A `3 X, E D6 T
support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from " F' I4 t7 R' B- ]* A$ \
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
5 S/ B- d O/ {! b! fand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a 2 Y- h: |. ^# {1 G7 }/ L
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and , S$ u0 S/ X6 v" k7 x0 _) A
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

$ E L* ]/ U; R7 wJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
8 a3 S3 s O; m- v( K @FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
% q x. R- X$ C, ^well as the script, magazine and book library. " g c/ o8 H% g% Y

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
! ~4 G# T; Q0 G7 J- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
2 x. Y$ v! N5 c6 p- Implement a catalogue template for future use 5 P5 Y$ @* N6 c S; f
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure ! q O5 X+ Q1 R
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-9 [. i9 n% v! d9 R6 N+ l

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week 0 I6 `2 }1 J# b W8 }
- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
+ m% ~" Y( H" D4 C2 G- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
* U+ K" D" c: p' g- S- Strong organizational skills
0 y8 p5 A1 ?5 v- Experience or training in library sciences preferred % X, u' z' d' D
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
