FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the

support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video e1 u$ z. k E0 o E7 ]; h: p
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a 6 U! E* W: ]9 y1 C3 p
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and 4 X. a3 c; V; ^+ g
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

. I0 W. f; d% e6 |% rJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
9 d( }3 k( h; s" [FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as 7 [/ ]3 q' d) V5 C0 U! ]
well as the script, magazine and book library.

Duties:
2 Q5 X# R# {; r9 N# m- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library 3 M$ g5 R" c% P- h; N' B+ Q5 F
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books 4 H7 v6 _: X) Z6 |7 @8 I4 N
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
1 P, b6 n' |& z) j6 k- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure 1 Q# z! d: a( Z+ o4 Y" A
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts

- Experience or training in library sciences preferred - y$ e2 H i( i( l- A
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal ! x* b1 G H6 l7 H3 t" i5 j$ V
- Strong team player abilities
