support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

- d% r. q s3 oFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
( U% |4 C# A4 j5 }8 W% Demerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video $ V) X/ _! n9 _4 W# `6 {- `
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
/ r N/ d: x- vresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

" S$ l0 d# k. D# ^7 [. K! OJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the 6 Z$ v# {( j3 ]# O4 `
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as ' I8 t w% x3 y3 Z9 J4 R* N, X; g
well as the script, magazine and book library. + L1 E: }1 y/ F5 l$ |

Duties:
+ _& q2 J7 C7 i8 |) L. M- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
9 m1 Q. _9 k4 ]& [" H- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books ! S+ q ]7 j+ p5 J3 C& j+ h: A" ^
- Implement a catalogue template for future use 0 r% Q' i7 |9 f% H. ^+ u
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure - T0 w% g+ `3 I U- ~
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

secondary training, university preferred

- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts

- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal

- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
