summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to

and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
/ |3 T% ? o4 z. e$ uresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and / p5 O( S) j) N/ a6 S
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern ; E' g5 V; y: ]

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the 1 o! x- U8 f. Y
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as ; M2 |1 |! o5 V
well as the script, magazine and book library.

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library $ B3 L* o& S# Z8 E6 d- ?
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books

- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure ; u" N, [, m' e" Q! g1 G) y
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable ! B ^8 ?0 E* T

- Funding for this position is provided by the Summer Temporary Employment Program

- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:

' O/ b1 M7 y! e& A* e3 h- Strong organizational skills : {' ~4 g8 B2 ~ _4 e. N/ y
- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
9 U1 o* w4 e; q) B9 F7 q, Q+ x, B- B- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal . G) A$ b- N5 ^) o. g
- Strong team player abilities 4 d i+ h x3 H. j; u9 k
- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
