summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to
m' {) K/ G: x9 o; P8 [& hsupport the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern
4 Y/ n% v# ^5 JAlberta.

- {* T5 L& `' C6 C) `FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
( Q5 O3 w% K' m) H) jemerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video & p, Z6 z9 g0 G. H# P! G
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
% o- M0 g# Y8 c, q5 ]% T lresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
6 R3 U& C% I4 F" ascreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern ! q0 m" |0 u! N. R
Alberta.

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the 8 w8 o# ]/ o( x- j; V/ M
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
# y) E6 `6 h# I( c# Nwell as the script, magazine and book library.

Duties:
' S' a8 [. L3 |; ]: M- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
# ]2 v# Y- y8 I- Q0 Y/ O# r- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books & |0 |- X/ ?! B$ U% K
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
9 a: r" u3 L! c# A# X- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
2 a; p7 t2 J" J3 @9 s& Z0 a- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable V8 @! J, ~( V, S+ x

8 \! Z0 L& X7 m# n- Strong organizational skills
* @( G9 y' s3 y4 }- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
3 z8 [" Y* O j" H- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
3 T$ T1 ^* ]/ H- Strong team player abilities
