support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from ! C& S) R/ A0 D
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video 5 a/ F4 `6 W( x( z6 W
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
4 l# ~! ^; T9 j- G7 k' g) b9 qresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

1 e" Q: g4 E! z, [Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the ( u; u- E4 p) }; c }- J
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
# H( B. q5 G5 f) m z8 rwell as the script, magazine and book library.

( v1 c3 \3 x# \- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library & ?! T2 g* g% v- M T
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books ( V6 E( t* i7 z1 k; @1 o7 {
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
5 v& D: e7 a( A1 Y- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
2 w7 B+ Q0 j7 ^1 v1 K# ]- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable & H3 _/ ^. Y8 V- e# Z6 ?' m7 F3 y0 A

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: 8 Y4 s4 \( J f" K' A* \# e
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
" ~' X' Y1 M' [- Strong organizational skills
) `" r9 \( m% Q3 d; E- Experience or training in library sciences preferred ' |, `8 J% Q3 e

- Strong team player abilities
