FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the 2 c% Z& M6 p, f: y& a
summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to

emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video & j8 e( F: u. b1 v( r" ]3 \
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a * F* o& J4 s ?5 F4 ~6 Z2 m8 Q
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
* H% P7 Y3 t$ }screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern 8 A9 l. C; C: C1 {2 R8 H5 \) t

* G& |/ ~6 Q" G; }8 g! n, U$ xJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the $ O& J0 A. |" n; y
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as ! H6 |- h+ @$ r+ U
well as the script, magazine and book library. " K5 ~% f4 g+ q9 B/ {

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
2 o% P, q' T! ^7 j& i4 J9 @5 [- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
* L0 H' x3 B& U. @% R- Implement a catalogue template for future use 6 M* L( t, q/ g1 A- J" r
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure

& }$ e- o& Y5 L- Strong organizational skills
/ q# e# H4 m1 t* D- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
