FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the
5 s& `) z7 t/ _3 X+ Psummer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to

resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

" Y/ S3 k3 T* Z1 wJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the g- n0 S$ m' H. ^2 L# D% o
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
& k" D" ^# `9 O4 r9 H$ ~# Dwell as the script, magazine and book library. 9 {- H3 S8 q+ @6 ?& H

Duties: # _9 u5 e0 @$ h
- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
# W1 l! P- s( V, [+ `- l- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
) c& U k# ^: s4 Z) K1 \- Implement a catalogue template for future use
. C8 h7 c) A( k$ y- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure 7 B* C% r0 W5 I3 b" A. H
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-: O- [+ f% o5 z
secondary training, university preferred / L: h" W% i6 Q# U, D# {
- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: " T3 w& u/ p7 l; P- P* t
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts 1 A0 K8 a9 H f
- Strong organizational skills 7 l! g9 b/ ]2 ]/ G2 q5 j) w1 T1 U
- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
