summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to

emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
! G' e* X: r6 ^5 V4 g P# oand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a + f9 Y. n3 D5 b& b
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and ) @' S- Z. g G
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

. }& ?; |1 C# I% A; L8 c+ yJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
c1 z9 y4 M X1 V' XFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
) W/ q1 w- }1 k3 V6 F& {well as the script, magazine and book library. ' n } I, k e3 j2 g( h* u1 c

Duties: 9 ?7 ?, J9 {$ S
- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
. @4 x1 B) a( C9 T- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
. D/ K' d$ U0 k1 M! R- Implement a catalogue template for future use
& T2 w2 w0 I& p8 X9 e4 J- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
9 Z* n! Z# Q, B7 t2 O- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
. T) f, Y2 Y# g& G& z3 i( A7 C3 Y- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
% ?! S" o: s7 }& J- Strong organizational skills
0 `1 j) k! U. i- i3 ]- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
# W: @! H1 T9 j0 O3 a8 [- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal

- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
