summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to
( K3 I& p0 x) l9 W& Xsupport the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern / B3 M+ s8 z# U3 T% g/ G4 n' U
Alberta.

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from 3 q- b% M! g8 @# E! L7 r6 F

and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
. ?8 q: C9 s" ~; s. Q9 lresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
: T. l5 k& ^$ D( c8 I; aFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as , c6 d/ X( n, B1 U! X
well as the script, magazine and book library.

Duties:
9 b; O* E- `% F- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library 1 r3 _; }7 U9 x" M/ `! n4 [7 u6 ~
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books & G! f' q! n2 @) W/ \
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
6 ]- M/ Z/ u8 t4 u6 h I! V0 o- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
& ^2 P, }6 w% P$ k' Z) O0 R- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable . a; x" B9 ?& G; m3 c9 ^, I* Z

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-
% k3 v# u$ a+ msecondary training, university preferred

- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks

- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
