FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the

support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern 3 S9 W) w f: o
Alberta.

and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a

3 b) f, K1 G" M3 J5 fJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the H8 ^* g+ q) m# [9 t6 T8 t
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as 5 o* x" p2 z4 C* Z+ x$ |: J
well as the script, magazine and book library. * `& ?0 c0 H$ F9 p5 U. k3 R

Duties: ! h$ |) U: ]4 c
- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library 8 V6 m5 }6 `8 G) W
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books , x2 l. D# y/ J
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
- H5 z( l- T3 V+ }! P! J' q2 D- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
" ` V5 @# _( I1 o5 X1 @. A- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable : H; F0 C! ^ T/ s

- Funding for this position is provided by the Summer Temporary Employment Program

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
+ Y4 u8 V4 X6 _8 c- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
( x/ j! N3 u' }) ~$ h. E1 ~& a- Strong organizational skills
4 d" ?& ^# k# M4 n) h: F- Experience or training in library sciences preferred 6 F/ N. H; h& F& F" I i
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
