FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the 1 |6 Z' @: v$ [/ p* U: U
summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to
& Z7 e: v4 A. Zsupport the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

+ L- I1 d6 J& }( Y ?1 [( `FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from

and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a - M+ v" n1 z" F; z' k. X4 u7 L

screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
; X4 ^' p* d8 i* \6 ]1 _% ] PFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as 4 }" e# i# z! p
well as the script, magazine and book library. 7 B6 d5 P( S+ D( i4 ?5 ^

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
+ r$ `, r, }( s) R: O- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books * W5 \/ F: i, b" @/ x: `. Y
- Implement a catalogue template for future use / k) c1 i! A! w/ ~: V- C! S
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure 7 t# P# c* ?+ \- @9 O. \
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
