FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the 1 n6 w0 g. L& O6 ~! Z4 ?' M4 F
summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to ! Z" \' k1 T2 H& R3 m( O0 t
support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern ' ]& U& d- @# J2 c

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
R: S) z7 O- L5 O4 `emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video # ~. T J ]4 A- F. y. l) O
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a 6 \: b1 r! ?2 k1 @! J z
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and 8 i* b* f) }+ v! K* M% x6 W, J
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern ( U* F" O) K3 N1 G" Q8 J

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
, Y' ^- U* |0 o+ }FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
" L" G& B, t+ R8 o3 f' Z7 h4 H' twell as the script, magazine and book library.

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library $ [, V/ O- U5 D6 Q I9 B7 w
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books ! Q4 q. _0 ^+ u! W
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
: t/ a0 E; B& \0 y# w" O! t- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
