FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the 5 b+ }. m2 ~$ S; g
summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to

screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the ) t, K" \0 b. S) F0 P, V4 ]
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as ; d$ N# }8 D0 E" u
well as the script, magazine and book library. 7 W) ]: k1 z1 h5 i. h
7 U2 M3 G9 c# g# ]. O* p

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library 2 I5 P) x" t6 a% R' \ P
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books % P- {) R, d! \8 X- j
- Implement a catalogue template for future use 3 O3 ]6 F9 o' ]& G7 l% t$ Y* e
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure " D: W# f! f" @1 | Q2 c2 o+ Q
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable 1 R& `7 Y3 s( h4 Q4 M5 k

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts / l# H' N4 h; K, F7 p
- Strong organizational skills ( X( s& z6 }% r a3 q
- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
