FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
6 n. _) l& Z& y2 K4 ]. Uemerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
% Z7 k: K" Z" J: Xand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
6 \3 j+ Z e, o2 Dresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and i. G: v$ d( `3 F
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

, k6 _9 N2 _& j# tJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
! |: D, I% G1 f- u- KFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
) |9 b5 A! m+ _0 hwell as the script, magazine and book library. . s& p/ D* o# d6 j% q) V

Duties:
% {) B0 @7 ^& ^; e- {7 J. ?& B- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library 7 F. Z+ l/ U0 t1 j& g
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
1 V. }: \7 C6 ~3 a- Implement a catalogue template for future use
" ?6 W0 |5 j2 r) F" h- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
$ g5 _8 h: I6 c' T6 \( e- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable % |+ O& S0 e b9 H

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
% t$ y0 t6 p; h4 I) C- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
3 N* B6 R4 u) s" s5 x- Strong organizational skills # y2 D1 n* u! f2 m2 l* e
- Experience or training in library sciences preferred 2 z$ F0 L2 C/ ?5 V& O7 X
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
