FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the ' B f! w+ [; L* S. e' c9 r, c0 \
summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to 7 H9 L! u6 o) T" k5 r/ b5 a
support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
7 M O% E6 _0 I) yand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a + s, v' Y1 l; _3 @% f, Z
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and : ?, q3 n) [) x" O
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the 4 U/ o4 U6 X# }* Y9 i
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
9 X4 f: G& [* S4 w' Q1 g& N5 Ewell as the script, magazine and book library. 3 V" E* `' R3 j5 I

0 A1 r# P W. ^% |- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library 1 d) R/ @1 W7 U
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
) F' r7 [5 |0 B% ^1 y- Implement a catalogue template for future use
4 X* p" l, Z' G- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
' A/ m6 y1 P( q- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable . O: B* P* w! k' d; m% l

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-; l! O* e) r! D
secondary training, university preferred

- Strong organizational skills & P$ H9 i' K9 e" p
- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
