FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from ! D, E3 D3 Y/ V( w o
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
x5 g F( M/ r4 jand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a 2 z: c( T% D7 R' V( \
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and ' w; V$ v f. _. b4 X+ \' _
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
' j$ B6 ~: p5 o3 P( Vwell as the script, magazine and book library. - b# {% T% e, v2 t/ a. a% e2 L! m4 {

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library 8 z, `2 T" W5 Z+ E( c/ u
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books 9 W# Y& K1 [ V* Z! v
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
. x) I8 F1 h) a% O# ^- ^- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-
# g7 ]: A9 Q0 d7 d9 K qsecondary training, university preferred

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: + Y) D1 c, c9 r+ z
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
7 W' \: q+ ]/ L' G3 o4 ?8 G' w- Strong organizational skills : F$ E o1 v- z, g- w
- Experience or training in library sciences preferred , D# I# h- Y: m+ Q
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal 2 c1 Z3 G' L5 u8 T, |: u* [
- Strong team player abilities
