FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the 8 ?+ a7 d- ^, j+ n/ X8 H5 M: T
summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to 0 E" b u1 l6 p- y* f4 w
support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

/ m! X4 K. i4 [$ [6 [) w; WFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from

% |' C9 I9 P3 }: {$ zand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
; e v+ S9 ~) D) X. I0 L6 L( _ d" |resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

7 W* g/ J' x' u, XJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the ( u6 B+ c% z4 G# |; k/ d
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as % Y0 m. i. d2 d8 P
well as the script, magazine and book library.

Duties:
: X# R9 [& C5 u- C- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library ! l, j' y& k6 B/ Y5 ?$ m: }
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
% _( j# ]1 n& e3 x0 h \' Q3 C- Implement a catalogue template for future use " M& ?$ {- \1 A3 ^2 K
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
$ X. o, g- u9 i- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable # x" W* Z; @) e

secondary training, university preferred

- Strong organizational skills ( T0 ~5 `2 U5 c' h& r; ^# D
- Experience or training in library sciences preferred 6 E( p! ^& E$ ^- \4 C2 z- T5 w' [ Q
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal ! n5 A8 `+ e1 u
- Strong team player abilities
