summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from 6 h. X: k" a, {* I) G2 h
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
7 X. V: ?( m8 t, s. T( r" U2 fand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
; s0 t0 X0 E4 Aresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the ( \- R$ a* h# p, t0 ?" o
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as 8 |- ?6 }) F" P2 R9 z
well as the script, magazine and book library. * q) K' t2 d9 o; y3 R2 m8 e- c

Duties:
+ s. j6 x. k2 r% u, H& L$ }7 I3 O- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
8 _+ M) u% `7 A8 d! l8 Y) [0 e- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
/ u5 a( R; F9 I4 s+ P& i; I- Implement a catalogue template for future use
, y; Z4 N5 `2 U6 t) J- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
; a5 S3 c, J- A2 o* ]8 }- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable ( W/ S5 o: ~" y8 }+ @% z% ?. E

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts

- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
