% o$ |- _8 ~- I; ssummer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to
! C; R! ^8 o g$ R: x( w$ xsupport the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern
\4 W1 h" j2 L( {& n+ \Alberta.

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from ! d$ |, E: i6 n3 K3 k
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
2 D# o6 ]* ~% M$ H( Nand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a o ]2 p& ]/ B V( G4 J
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and * }- Z3 i* M4 M0 s8 o* m1 r
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

$ h' S5 D; f% g! NFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
9 C% o5 e9 A8 r2 O' ?1 awell as the script, magazine and book library.

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
3 x; Z3 I: k2 Y& i# U- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
: Z% f( N' m, V# a. y- Implement a catalogue template for future use % O6 h. c9 T+ m( H
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure ) [. Y2 F6 z) B: e* e0 }5 r& ~
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:

- Strong organizational skills ; R# S) [" H/ L2 l* o
- Experience or training in library sciences preferred & ?: F; i( X1 `
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
