FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from

+ Z( N- h) ~% y9 Oand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a ! u- \! u" V; f4 [7 T

screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern u# F6 T+ c; i' w* V0 L

: S- [$ V7 E: O/ T) ]( D! qJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the ) i3 U- K2 q' z6 b3 S
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
9 K( f! ]' }$ f) g+ Ewell as the script, magazine and book library. & j3 ?' a f5 D, o Y' N

Duties: # d, w! V( n- f" W$ U1 S
- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
9 z; ~, e( k( z: W1 c1 F- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books 7 l% @3 e8 `( N3 D! w
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
' b; r' F. c2 K' v2 u3 C$ i8 @$ `% G+ F- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure 9 }. ^2 H/ d) ~" U+ @' L
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
/ }/ z1 \) L/ O; I, M, s6 D$ `- Strong organizational skills
% m5 a/ l+ Z3 I m3 e6 j& Q. p8 b- Experience or training in library sciences preferred ) u2 T( v# z4 e5 c+ V6 F
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
