support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
; t' c Y& G# w! A( P5 R3 Hand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a

screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

# p! h) r9 |! f4 D, yJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the 0 f5 G9 c! ~3 G2 N; p# m% p
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
- g; O/ [# X6 I" i8 p9 X3 p; ^well as the script, magazine and book library. ! C# t" ]# u9 n/ R$ D- J) M" ]

Duties:
$ O' T, `. O. }4 H. u$ f- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library + p, p- I. q* V8 \* z2 y
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books 2 z, }5 e% v# J B# }9 B3 ~
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
* V4 Y$ m8 D* _2 B6 B- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure ( J3 Y% a: { D& D# I ~
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week `8 w8 E* ]2 R7 P8 @
- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks 7 \+ O2 l+ G6 K4 g

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts / n- Q- z# r6 b2 Y# d; V6 I2 m4 _6 @ Y& b
- Strong organizational skills , P$ X8 ]5 A3 x' o
- Experience or training in library sciences preferred ! I! k) z' h* ~+ ?& L4 U/ D7 Y
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal ( t- A% X) R D2 \2 q
- Strong team player abilities , r# {& _4 c! v X2 k
- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
