FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the

5 A+ T* \: d( z+ G0 U8 KFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
' k6 B" \# k; B$ semerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video . A, b) o; Q+ z9 t0 K7 C! n5 y0 k
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a & N$ K% s; k, h: X* Y; ~: A5 d
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and ; b8 d9 {% u3 |) f
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern 4 i" a% X2 c% f7 p+ g# o

FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
; O; s# t( N9 b+ iwell as the script, magazine and book library. 2 K0 Y) U1 z8 D3 s

Duties:
5 Q8 H3 n3 T" [, w$ o+ h Z$ e4 {% y- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
! l2 z. M! Q& ^9 ~ { b) `) u& ]- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books 3 \7 F( A6 q7 b+ g" Z$ d
- Implement a catalogue template for future use + i7 {! H$ r$ j5 @
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure 3 M4 N, I2 l1 @8 [' k- `
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: # @# L; J0 ~6 d7 w. D
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
( e' b- V9 {3 e' O4 s. U- Strong organizational skills - K% B' H5 E: ?( O" \
- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
; w2 ?8 c g& Z! V$ ?- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal

- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors 6 Q; i( \ L( k* A' I0 Q" t7 Q
