FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the 6 a0 i% V$ N+ {3 ]
summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to
9 b8 A. ^+ k+ M% w' P* a- k w8 X9 ]support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern ( a- `0 e$ ^! E! F( z

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
, E. Q& i- `% B- [: c% m% X8 ?/ remerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video - m U3 _8 i: L; \& i
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the : }0 b* K5 Y! ~* t& k
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library $ z9 V' W+ w8 Z1 J2 f' I( o
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books + {% @1 I/ u6 j2 A! }" \
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
2 b2 u9 h0 t; S1 Q- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
& o2 n7 h) k! ]. Y( f+ D) t- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable # x! J. X& L) Q' w' x( X

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
( ]6 T F7 C+ H/ i0 ]/ X- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
5 Z1 V" t2 k: U& _' i; l- Strong organizational skills
: A: k6 N% }, D' X$ M- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
& J5 C: }- n8 E- B- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal . s0 ]% e9 r ^) C$ G
- Strong team player abilities 6 i i& z! V1 E
- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
