FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the & ^6 K" m' G0 k( b" T3 S
summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to
6 b `% X& b# v+ xsupport the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern 7 D$ E7 ^7 D4 `
Alberta. 6 ]7 e5 s. g& M& {' v8 g

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
" E% G) w% q6 Zemerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
3 L1 |" _7 q0 T" b aand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a

screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the : j& Z$ ^9 L! U* q1 o$ `
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as

- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books

- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure 5 s+ e4 K, [* b; U. C2 v
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable 2 ~: v. X0 a! u* J7 h

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: # C# I5 S1 j4 f9 z d8 ~
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
" g, Y) z/ W" q- Strong organizational skills
: F1 p7 o7 t$ ^) _- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
