FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the : S1 K9 ?& s/ U1 y" D: J! i( l' U
summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to

resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the 8 p9 X( v7 b A5 X- {9 ~1 ^" v
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as 4 W1 u# s& z7 P x$ ? b
well as the script, magazine and book library. 5 k7 h# z; W+ M7 e5 c
, B* w; {& R* B) t# l4 _Duties: 0 W3 y. q. `. |# c6 w6 } u/ h
- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library $ I& e8 E" a# `
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books 6 e5 f- `5 K0 Z7 n; K
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
4 C! q+ U3 q) V3 j6 h- p- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
7 D0 C6 V3 g& d5 ~( `+ w7 d1 q1 X1 |- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts , k% m+ O8 r" [: O; @" U( S
- Strong organizational skills * n! s# H& p+ ^9 \
- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
