FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the 0 ?6 E- M1 ^. r v; H0 N. u
summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from . U4 _1 l6 ]/ M7 m0 R! j. e- J
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video " ~! G3 H u1 R; ?. S
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
, r; O& m5 k9 m; F+ K' i0 presource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
! D0 k* {; u, B/ X' }screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

/ V+ [. V7 H3 nJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the . h! K1 F2 ~- {
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
/ S8 G+ ?7 c3 Uwell as the script, magazine and book library. 9 ]0 h0 ~' b5 I+ X
* V r4 @, S! Z5 J1 ~; z3 ZDuties: ) D" S- m3 ?7 I! O; s
- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library 4 t) z' H4 A' ~: k, H/ p' U
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
8 k% s: g+ ~5 o; N3 z! y _- Implement a catalogue template for future use
* y' [4 g' d' H( \0 @6 U7 ? c" [- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure 2 y$ ^) A1 j! r/ b
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-& S3 L) M2 e. @0 @8 w: j! Y
secondary training, university preferred

- Strong organizational skills
