FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the
" F5 p3 ~9 R$ ~/ x" isummer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to

emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
2 F+ x+ u# R: S: A M; Cand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a 3 Z% Q% l* ^0 \2 m# i# z/ _
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

1 g' c* f4 J% Z. A8 C1 EJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the 9 T+ d {( L" n8 \6 f" r
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
' R- J- P, r' J' c' \well as the script, magazine and book library. / E* f K6 c$ G

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
, l0 a6 B+ i' {8 y9 a- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books ( D F" K7 a3 W
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
& j7 L' o7 ?7 S) A# n- G. S- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure 3 R5 a0 y7 Y' J: D2 {4 M
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable : d# o+ _( c7 p7 A- K! k& P

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-% s) ^% U5 Z2 q
secondary training, university preferred g0 s0 B1 ?6 y2 e8 }. E
- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts

- Experience or training in library sciences preferred

- Strong team player abilities
