5 o" c: g5 g$ ]. psupport the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern
4 o2 O0 ^& M5 E+ O  SAlberta.

. _5 N! E. g( B4 u/ l( j8 T0 gFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
% i; L0 [  J% L9 ?emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
) I, {# y9 y, J. J5 b7 Z" |, Y) Zand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
* K; e6 m  V% Q. c, _8 ]9 _resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern
Alberta.

- ~" b8 f& o$ UJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
; c5 k! a4 j' f) g) E# m4 o9 H  g" D0 DFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
2 r: f: ~" N1 F/ q) ]well as the script, magazine and book library.

* \' R5 F4 `  K4 b3 h2 w: @5 u3 T$ s5 PDuties:
- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
2 O, _$ Y! R7 g- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
2 y. ]) y( I7 U$ S5 d* t- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

Details:
- Funding for this position is provided by the Summer Temporary Employment Program

3 V* ^9 T4 R5 u% q- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-
secondary training, university preferred
- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week
- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks

+ j8 i% X% l; p% v" V- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
' h5 _0 z/ g- C: T$ ~- Strong organizational skills
- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
8 }  G( y1 y" b0 W% O5 m! c" d- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
