FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from ' H+ h5 K$ S) j4 ~3 O
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
) ]- D4 ` Y8 p! q( hand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
; ?' c0 s# L" B6 U' Fresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and . W( `- J8 e3 W" S1 `- v" M
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the 0 j3 o, h$ o; t. R: M- Q7 B( K
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
. R. N4 j3 W3 {6 Mwell as the script, magazine and book library.

Duties: ) Q; ^% A+ v" W ^; o7 n$ q
- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library ( C, ~6 R2 i) l( X" K4 O8 f% j
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books - }9 l0 a: n* x( |) i7 ?; N1 D
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
0 L& f6 O- K& }" A- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
5 r1 L9 a$ T' x$ j9 v7 A- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
S1 ^* s, G. J- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts % S2 t* L3 b% {4 Q# T( D) d
- Strong organizational skills
1 } S1 @" e5 v$ w- Experience or training in library sciences preferred - L- Z4 a) t2 a( z
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
