FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the

support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

+ {* O3 ]7 v) r/ N ~/ h/ YFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from * n( _/ `* p; @
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
* C, F+ d7 z. a! M& Oand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a , Y$ _+ @( k! C% _9 s
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and 8 _4 X0 o7 L% g$ ~5 q+ `
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
9 C% G. r- X1 X/ B( C& B6 T5 a3 RFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as

! }9 R$ M. t# d8 F" O- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
' {. ] v8 U3 k- `) }4 c6 F" c- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books ) q) M' F3 h/ a7 s& u q& @
- Implement a catalogue template for future use * h) R/ Y, }6 Q7 Q& i$ Y
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts

- Experience or training in library sciences preferred 8 [' W" S9 ^6 T. _. e! F8 J
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal

- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
