FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the 8 i( ?2 [7 O( E- E
summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to

Alberta.

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
# @) r. {9 T' xFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
4 C* e Z$ d3 O. D* y2 w9 h w5 Kwell as the script, magazine and book library.

- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books

- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure ) i0 ~5 J9 @. R4 `4 \9 e8 {( {
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-% a. }! D5 P4 I. A7 e

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week . @+ H+ b. s( T/ V
- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: 4 m( U E$ {" b! D2 `# z& w
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts # p; ?5 [; ~1 y0 d* Y8 U
- Strong organizational skills ( J. @+ V+ I7 P# s- U+ @
- Experience or training in library sciences preferred , D3 _2 N9 o9 h4 Q& I2 b8 v
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal

- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors % T% b: Y' M w/ g8 @
