support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern 7 ^! F0 }0 z4 n! A' j8 M

and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a

screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern ' a) J: q( ?6 N, r! c- q0 R! v

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
3 ]( v+ g/ _. J8 L" z; }6 d" fFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as % M. `9 N2 ~. ~; h4 l# L, P
well as the script, magazine and book library.

Duties: & \: o; H7 h) x5 v/ d
- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
6 S3 }5 c! V" N& U: ?- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books 3 y0 i2 O% S+ m( O; W$ f
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
* Z+ q; j1 L& U) k( w5 M# P- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
% @7 x/ ~5 I5 C0 _6 S3 H/ c% d- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable . |# ?$ k. Q( F/ N2 V

secondary training, university preferred

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:

0 G. r7 |2 z3 G( p8 \- Strong organizational skills
! N( m/ N' x3 m8 D1 D- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
