, {3 L: Q  V9 Z# w2 ]- _' w) pFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
( B. h5 c; y5 Yemerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
; h' G* Q3 ]4 ^and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
+ s2 g% }/ J# s; }4 {/ g' Qscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern
  z: Q3 e4 ?2 h6 k* Y) {6 RAlberta.

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
well as the script, magazine and book library.

5 F6 t% d  L2 C) R" ^9 X0 }$ U! r- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
2 B" Q0 @: [2 f; S2 X8 Q- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
3 k3 I* }+ F$ v+ n7 o4 N  ?! ~- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
9 B. J0 z, v! O' }* e- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

secondary training, university preferred
- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
- Strong organizational skills
- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal

- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors

I have 3 years librarian expeirence in U of A, and believe I can fit in this postion perfectly.
