FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from

9 m. d% v# |; d; Y7 i6 o, |and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a / ~* f7 W# @$ J; r
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and ; Q. s* n4 p0 D) H h: y# A
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern 1 g' M1 v9 m- ^. }% r# k! V G

: E! Z& Y r; ]! i% l, n# hJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the ; z# g/ y) @, {% I
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as , W+ I2 z+ k9 N; ]* B/ r2 X' m
well as the script, magazine and book library.

2 R; j9 U/ m1 ~1 s; r/ t- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library 2 R1 |6 r3 ?2 O1 n5 n/ _
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
: _4 g4 b& x$ ?4 \- Implement a catalogue template for future use
+ W! h9 |1 ^: O+ y( [3 e5 z+ [- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure & w( b. N! p! b ?5 u* s7 w
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-2 X) a9 O( J! K, }( i( b

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
$ K1 a8 b% g! j' x8 [# j' C+ ^- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts 0 F' g; N) r5 M* t; w* I6 Q/ ?
- Strong organizational skills
0 g4 i7 E6 _3 y" l8 N. a- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
6 D7 h: O. b: ^$ w/ P- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
) u. N% W1 F( U; s/ U; x- Strong team player abilities
