FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the

emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
1 q! H) j+ j; e: j5 ^- _! ~. Uand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a

8 P3 `5 F/ y5 sJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the 7 I3 p) u1 e& L: C( R
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as : O4 u$ L. B$ g9 c5 F6 i
well as the script, magazine and book library. : T2 q! {& L# t9 [1 E

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
. Y9 J/ G7 M$ j; M% S- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
; w0 m& f1 v( t7 `+ A) K6 v% c- Implement a catalogue template for future use + y Z: g- |; w3 a( ]2 U
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure I4 W: G2 e8 w; x& R5 R
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-5 g& Y* r/ d4 {7 I9 h# U
secondary training, university preferred 0 |5 y) J: V5 v$ j
- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

- Experience or training in library sciences preferred ' N. g- J4 i' f/ h9 m) j+ ~
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal / D" c/ k; M, ~* ^, {

- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors 3 o1 ], ?( h1 t
