support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
- x# h* c. o/ p* e5 Zand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a : f( {/ M* T1 V& a; }1 U. p
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and * v, g! x: |8 _7 f7 m
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
- d& I$ ~& g% eFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as : F1 }7 ~ W0 B2 Q5 F$ X
well as the script, magazine and book library. }3 y$ b+ r, i1 u. _' n1 j

9 t. [1 r+ _0 D6 c- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library + b: f( E& T" a# R) n
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books + w" e0 ~+ z" i6 ~$ |5 S
- Implement a catalogue template for future use " r: H- `8 S5 l! p3 p \
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure $ Q1 Z# F9 {9 y" ~) p
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable , ^: l0 t. K; O0 L [. @7 B

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
6 g9 N6 N! s. O9 C( B- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts / r T/ X; I4 E/ x* l7 p9 C) \
- Strong organizational skills
& C+ A" y: Y ?/ V- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
6 }! H$ A! g* f0 |; S- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal 5 U2 Q( d: `+ N5 A" h, r! ?
- Strong team player abilities " n: j6 |' a; w; `+ a* ~" `
- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
