support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
, P5 t) A1 ]( Oemerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video 8 B+ ^$ m) l6 k6 u; G1 x
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
9 i9 B( Q0 i9 ^* p; cresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
% M% \& [, l) V- @screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the ' P) {2 x$ _" x) I. ^2 p0 H
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
% F. ^; E9 z: l1 k! |- l) ?8 |7 qwell as the script, magazine and book library. 8 @, A$ @ E7 R! B/ J

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
. n* a! h& F6 G. i1 J0 v2 t" E- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books ! m' ^5 }) @) E1 }+ y x) \7 Y
- Implement a catalogue template for future use - y }% p: }. K2 ^
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure & ^: d* z9 k/ B! ]- k
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-" v( ]/ Q5 F. E1 q; c, W; [) x0 J5 ^1 R
secondary training, university preferred

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
3 x# c' o+ u w) x: o- Strong organizational skills 8 P. U$ V. u: n/ n8 ?% y
- Experience or training in library sciences preferred 6 _4 H e; s0 o% d5 A
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal 2 o- X9 k( `2 Y$ G9 n5 K
- Strong team player abilities D( n4 X) `9 y
- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors * H& b( k# }+ J W% V) l3 `
