FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from ' O% T+ U4 J. U) P$ ?/ `1 G0 E
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video $ r4 R/ E' h9 ^
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a : k9 S4 q8 g% ]+ i8 ^
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
$ k2 x+ _% r; N0 y$ {& g0 B- Zscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern 2 f* B7 J1 g+ P( g

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the ! z/ v* ]- j) ]/ O* _6 E
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as : g- N; t' b6 y# R
well as the script, magazine and book library.

Duties:
8 \% S- m) e7 ~! z8 x4 K- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library 7 z6 u6 a$ U% `- |' _( `8 P; h
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
; e; R. \1 p0 z3 `$ C. d- Implement a catalogue template for future use % D" u& ?! n! f) c6 Z# J2 {& S
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
6 q9 ~5 G! `* F& ~" V9 D- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts

! ^) v; e1 H, i/ i- Experience or training in library sciences preferred 7 D, F$ G- S- }3 S
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal ; B3 f6 g2 ?# x& w! R
- Strong team player abilities
