summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from 8 ?* ^; C8 G* f8 o, z
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video

resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
2 Q4 f+ Z+ J6 K4 Y% sFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as O/ C5 Y9 E4 q' A/ z+ L7 n+ [
well as the script, magazine and book library. - ?! h) l) ^4 f4 ~

Duties:
3 ]& H% I5 R" b6 t7 ?! ^6 t: y7 |# e3 D- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library ' i$ R& l& e! K- J3 y1 ]
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books 7 Q! F% L1 |1 x. J1 g r7 @
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
W& Q9 m; J1 T* R0 j" D- a! v& b- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
1 r0 M" j2 [, p2 Y( p/ Q7 S8 A- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable 4 X# D! \" y# K+ k5 ]: n

secondary training, university preferred

- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: ! O0 M6 h# p* L+ i4 S, \# Q
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
1 K! ~2 R# |% V8 a- Strong organizational skills
* W" m. e: F. N. [5 o h* k; u- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
' w$ A7 I! a, p" |( }8 Y4 x- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal

- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
