FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the ' K+ J, z6 O% i# Z0 W
summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to ; H5 q6 u5 w% G9 S4 U
support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern 0 B# [) g+ a( ?8 Z( Z" Z
Alberta.

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the 2 p8 t# T" ]2 u8 y/ J
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as % a7 a+ m- `1 T u0 ?7 F- F
well as the script, magazine and book library. 1 N4 a7 `( {% b6 S# K
3 @8 g ]" U& L8 S JDuties: % r0 B" o& e" P" F
- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
. i0 e, W0 T8 f! H' Y5 n8 f- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books 8 U5 d. C$ k( U% p' h
- Implement a catalogue template for future use 4 `- @& R# J0 q1 @+ Y$ C" H2 ]" B
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure ) v7 C" ?- s# C, \' z- j
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks + ^, l% m( ?# Y- _0 C

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts & d9 E& g9 B9 h% G- L' ^0 ~' f! ^
- Strong organizational skills 0 U! t H4 d( e* _
- Experience or training in library sciences preferred

- Strong team player abilities
