summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to

3 d1 S6 r3 c! ^8 KFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from 6 i3 y: R# Y$ S
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
5 {. ^3 T9 B8 V3 U/ I6 p+ ^and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a ( K7 A3 g) a3 o0 w$ X1 {( ^
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and # m3 c4 K% Z' U8 P9 O
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern 5 T% f4 k3 [( y. E0 C

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the , F* r) I2 g9 S
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
) _. Z$ D& v' {- z+ Uwell as the script, magazine and book library. * ~2 C' ]; v, D

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library " y4 P$ Q& ~3 z+ K6 A# s
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
; F; m7 t3 Q% t2 ~3 J _" I& u0 h- Implement a catalogue template for future use % T! D" j; q" o7 N2 D" W1 _
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
) ^* P g1 @+ Y3 ?$ g2 |- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable O% T( j/ n0 R3 C2 I" D

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: + d" }$ V% `8 n# r
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts % q; u M7 w- H9 U
- Strong organizational skills
" C+ N: [+ H9 J* }$ j( d- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
- @+ R$ _( v B" ]6 p- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
" |9 l* ^6 z1 a- Strong team player abilities
