summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to
/ P- J* h1 U4 z4 ?2 [6 fsupport the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

" M$ K) x! U6 X* ]' p ~) k/ ^% l" ~FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from - {( ?9 J& n( g) i/ j! g, ~( G; Y
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video X* _8 Y2 g) Q, p
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a

screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

- k0 _# h* m# g% Q% ]$ w/ `* dJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the " Q: r* q8 u3 P1 d$ L9 _7 K- w7 _" U
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as

Duties: % w7 S# V& z2 B- T1 D6 `6 o; Q
- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
2 ?$ W* q; a+ h$ Q' L- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books + @' Y' B; D: h' A) {" g& x, G. @
- Implement a catalogue template for future use " K) Y- M# a8 x3 x) J) B
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure ( P8 O. v; D. [6 q+ C4 t( p
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts

- Experience or training in library sciences preferred

- Strong team player abilities
