FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the ) B6 v7 K$ |' t. _8 \* C
summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to

and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a 9 G2 ]: `1 b& [
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the ( c! W E- b7 R
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
7 L3 [. H( S' @# b6 }6 uwell as the script, magazine and book library. 7 k8 }! f2 e, L# D; K' F* {

- Implement a catalogue template for future use 3 a5 C1 Y6 h% N% I: z* y* S
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure $ j6 F6 N* K) J H+ a4 m
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable 4 n# f- S- G0 _. H1 {0 o

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: : K. t6 l* e& T) j/ h2 \# {! p M- B
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
6 ~) W9 m/ U3 I: E# y- Strong organizational skills : ^2 y9 T6 c5 F* t; N4 w8 D+ ~) |
- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
- d7 l k4 v& J- a. @5 W- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
