support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern 1 ?/ o) K+ i4 I/ b( v/ V

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
& i3 g& \; H$ z, X' ]% ^6 gemerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
8 f; z/ c, M9 x+ E" tand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
( o( g: a0 q* m# u1 h+ eresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and ! E# e4 l, q: [$ o' ^' _
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
! m4 I S( f* G bFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as - H3 W* X. ?4 v1 l3 a" G# t
well as the script, magazine and book library. 9 [1 n' b& ?4 X* ]2 T
) V, \2 p9 f# S0 B0 C
Duties:
7 J' S! s1 ~0 Z9 k- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
- A! d7 U" F' C, D. J2 k& `5 ?- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books + [; J- E- p A" o8 k; n, `7 X
- Implement a catalogue template for future use : s4 q. Z3 @* B3 X8 Y0 {' R, G% ~
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure ! O$ | C8 ?" f; h% d- G% b
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable 8 `! u3 w$ f2 E

- Funding for this position is provided by the Summer Temporary Employment Program

secondary training, university preferred

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts

- Experience or training in library sciences preferred ) A) J! |- _/ S4 `# x7 u
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
