support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

; a7 s8 k- g9 @: f% CFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from / }2 j6 P- d8 q3 P
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video Z% c. M5 C- i1 I" z* ^9 g4 L2 Z/ X% A
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a + Q; o" P( m$ R, f) `2 i2 N
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
' h5 g e/ _2 N' o) ^2 fscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
6 _/ G( d2 u oFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
7 g) ^! w2 G2 T, Owell as the script, magazine and book library.

7 o6 D" T" M5 O' MDuties:
- V" V" n+ ]' j, T0 o( U- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
* F2 C3 V7 ]1 L- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
2 x5 m4 F$ s" B0 E6 i( r5 ?0 G- Implement a catalogue template for future use
7 k2 V" z3 t5 g* R. [- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure " y0 s- [2 ?# L
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable : N$ V' N7 A" o3 E7 ~

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
1 l3 V, ^0 O* e& G* g! H" w- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
+ A* x! t7 ]7 y- X0 L- Strong organizational skills
% ]9 }5 l* R- n5 R1 d. Y- Experience or training in library sciences preferred " d7 a0 v, [3 F, w) r# A, K) A% O
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
