summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to

\7 q0 u1 \* @; DFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from * S" T. \. ]7 r: q o7 k! N
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
5 }. M$ d' d# |and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a 4 [4 B/ d0 z% k2 I5 u: R
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
+ T# P: U% N X' a% bscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the : M Y* K% s: i. W( D& s
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as 9 n4 O0 ?9 f- i3 _
well as the script, magazine and book library.

Duties:
' f( A8 S' o) N- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library 2 p0 L( @' M1 z4 k, ^# w
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
% X3 c7 }5 b7 H/ U! T8 R v- Implement a catalogue template for future use
0 G5 o; U0 G; z- ]/ I3 E1 G G! W- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure 0 g' _0 g' h- V. D6 D, o' P
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable 4 C5 s! Y! d' q6 D3 r

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-" C3 D9 p7 }3 f. X# L2 d
secondary training, university preferred

- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks # [ r f3 ]8 R. R

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts

- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
