support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern 7 K0 ]- N1 U, ^7 a

emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
/ k- j) v' q8 _1 zand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a % V0 T& M% L' h$ u
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

4 e3 a. |& p9 r# C9 JJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the 5 E1 [# b6 {" E1 l8 n. n
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as 6 R( ^; t$ e6 m3 c8 h: \/ X7 F
well as the script, magazine and book library.

Duties: * l3 }* |% x) |7 T$ o5 P( _
- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
# F, z! x% l3 E7 ]: P7 ~! T1 ?- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books ! l* Y# [3 d' {
- Implement a catalogue template for future use : s# [; u, e/ l6 w3 i2 K# c
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
0 f: ^7 p8 b. Q* W' [- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable " J$ ?2 \ K, G. V4 J1 b

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-, M$ v: u8 ~8 P$ L% Z$ s( g, ^# A+ R) g
secondary training, university preferred

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: * Z% f! M( S( P7 U
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
$ T4 @: `1 h2 w# A- N0 }4 N- Strong organizational skills + I3 }- P5 H/ _2 x: C1 n3 I( H
- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
4 A5 a/ ?% x; s- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal 1 q7 {9 V. j3 l3 b( O/ J
- Strong team player abilities
