summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to

Alberta.

" x" g$ ^9 n5 bFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from

5 M6 Y7 A. c, g0 A0 Mand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a $ v5 g* V5 K* E, V7 v% {
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and , o. `" Q0 |/ b6 M+ j& x8 n
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the + y U$ f' ? N$ g- s% J% Q
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as . c3 ^3 v' t1 l4 L! ?$ p0 L- ?
well as the script, magazine and book library.
% v, V5 m' Z& w& e8 p + {+ V: W8 p" ~3 G
Duties: . O1 B: m: Q6 W' K7 }
- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
" \; l+ ^9 m- Z+ Q6 X, c- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
7 q; N. s+ K6 B- N [- Implement a catalogue template for future use ( {6 m8 h" p6 g% Y- q' C K& e
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure 5 C& O4 ]& r. K) ?
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable # k+ t; {+ ~0 v; I" u

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-' K$ M% F) d+ N
secondary training, university preferred

- Strong organizational skills

- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
