FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
" p# p) @. r, w4 |emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
z. m! y9 c+ k% S4 o1 }: Qand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
1 W2 s3 W" o! }( i' [( O% Nresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and " @ X9 B f) j1 t4 ^
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern 2 v5 @9 l' l- T/ O) E. D, H

; O8 O, @- K, q; U) T5 U9 jJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
6 Y6 {; S! X0 O0 mFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as * W" X& P' F- O z& Q
well as the script, magazine and book library. : K% E# E" ]: F* O: r, U5 _

7 @ r. u8 ^2 ^4 z8 T+ q6 o" ], ]- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
2 |' x6 V. g. v; O( d- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
6 P2 }; }5 P) I( t) b2 e3 E- Implement a catalogue template for future use
- T) P' T. s M$ }) r, {3 p5 x- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure 1 ^* [" h/ Z1 @1 V7 ^, f# o9 r; x
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable * f( C, |/ ~4 h! B! A

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-* y. l) f1 E( `7 C A2 b8 g
secondary training, university preferred $ Q k1 b+ R/ e! ^ r: w
- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week + b# S8 F1 o( E W$ Z l( D
- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks 9 U2 [$ p7 k. i2 P; U4 G- O N
( O u; \3 V/ Q' SQualifications: The ideal candidate will have:

- Strong organizational skills
0 @' k4 q3 Z1 `0 O* E- Experience or training in library sciences preferred ; k) F7 ]& V( F8 i' b6 G# n

- Strong team player abilities
