FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the

Alberta.

7 s5 M& s, o6 `FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
9 T1 L2 n: W5 H1 I. Q! W+ Jemerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
+ k' b+ k/ \7 Z2 |2 B- [8 P yand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
4 B2 n1 U! t7 S; j6 ]4 }4 v( t6 i8 Qresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
# H/ m6 l3 S# L) D iscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern ' l& v) K% |* [7 l$ R; s8 U3 a

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the ' B9 w) m: H1 J( Y. v0 E8 x$ w8 A
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
; u9 |4 S7 ?: H) R) `. Owell as the script, magazine and book library.

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library % B+ a: D1 T, ~6 h5 ]
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
+ j3 p; m, [9 O! E$ a; F1 _ _- Implement a catalogue template for future use * m. _$ ~( t7 _2 i
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
8 B! h1 r u+ S9 O4 q/ G3 L2 n0 f- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
. H7 l0 }: R8 B3 n9 @- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
" R# z u% K( D- Strong organizational skills
0 a) u4 i" D D! v9 p! e- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
' b! X) E0 N* e+ W1 L0 k' B- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal B3 e/ @- l1 ^
- Strong team player abilities
