support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

/ z1 |. H* |$ e. oand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
; H! i8 X9 _8 j+ H( d9 C! W' Y7 |FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
) {) s  k7 {2 ?3 R: zwell as the script, magazine and book library.

Duties:
! O( [9 K) d) p- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
: w  d/ F4 u5 J# _- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

/ d, b3 `/ g, v% f$ g/ ?* S, r- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week
4 \5 o; k! d, N* }- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
2 g# O3 C6 x: |2 T- Strong organizational skills
- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal  
& C' k( i5 m: L/ |; f- Strong team player abilities
8 @) E3 S8 S7 U- u) w- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
