support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from ) m: c2 Y2 ]1 M0 I

and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
; C: ?/ V/ I! z* H+ U& x9 b3 hresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

2 h& ?; E; ^& _" fJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the ' G8 H' Q; g; e" z6 [
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as / [6 L/ n3 i* a* P9 S0 H2 \
well as the script, magazine and book library.

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
9 f" _1 U) D- w- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books ' y: x8 K2 z. g5 r/ I7 ~" y. z
- Implement a catalogue template for future use 3 f# A- ~ n/ n! Y* J; k4 Y
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
3 o% Q' D- N# f3 ]1 F/ d+ C$ n- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-) H0 G3 C Z1 a. L9 p) K
secondary training, university preferred 8 S# J+ G( o) Y, I! H: X
- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: 4 `1 ?$ U- }( q. _* Q; I
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts \/ O( H, i" A' w0 N; T0 W
- Strong organizational skills - t* u! h9 F( Y1 F: X% X
- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
