FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the
+ ^" C$ d/ L6 [$ ?4 Y# g4 ?summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to

Alberta.

+ b0 U* C2 Z1 @# X8 z/ |5 }/ t7 L# ZJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the . o$ E+ b$ K" w1 @/ ?; r6 M6 S
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as

Duties: % o' A* ?* Q) y
- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library 0 \# v7 {$ L4 `0 r1 [& D# a! F" o
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books % g' |* T/ M4 t7 S3 s9 g
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
1 h9 S2 ^1 R1 J; u- Q# F5 Q- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
) |& c2 s3 r/ i( r+ B7 b" l. ^, _- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-
% `& L) I& }( x* psecondary training, university preferred
/ T* p! Z' E& e9 D- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: 3 t( f/ f& t2 V" o" x* ?3 `
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
3 q' ~% S3 \) `0 e- Strong organizational skills . k6 ^$ n2 k' f; U$ p
- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
