x% ~3 z; z* ksummer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to

) h* h6 [! {6 I) QFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from " {$ j7 w% }# R/ x! F6 E
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video / Z @5 r( H. B" n; i+ z- ^
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
& q- l7 L- ^ O- r1 X. Q* U2 rresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
+ g5 I/ w: F7 oscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

, E+ R: i% G) aJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
; R/ `1 `6 k( e/ P& }FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library * X$ V/ y7 N) n
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books 8 B2 n4 M, n+ \: u8 D, E( W7 {) D
- Implement a catalogue template for future use - b$ T$ \: c: g. @& d% U, w% ]
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure 2 a7 d* A: w% D3 l! z( K
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: 8 x F% [" s, G. o0 Z/ Y+ [
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
. J& Q1 |' c, R& C: {; H- Strong organizational skills ' y- P4 O4 ~$ P
- Experience or training in library sciences preferred + B3 h; E7 k7 H' y3 L8 c5 L
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
