+ Q, K/ A* g5 t& D: v, P4 Isummer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to
0 h; q' d m- ~2 S' Wsupport the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

9 P- r9 l9 A1 s- X( zFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
9 Z; O" a0 ]9 O9 a- ^, L; ?emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video , [2 }0 q* ~' J3 n
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a " i/ G% O" {4 W- I1 i! M) J( \; I
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
% h& j4 N9 K) D6 d6 Kscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
0 l+ d; J% n6 O6 Z! H' H N b: ]FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as 1 Q: f6 `2 q: v) ?/ P( p0 O% k
well as the script, magazine and book library. % N: ]2 _2 Z9 g3 P$ Y l- H

) T& V. ~' |3 T/ J, Y2 u( e2 a- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
1 n2 x( U/ M, _3 E- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books , v1 e; G' q+ a
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
! I+ S3 J7 D$ [" l( Y' Z- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure & d( r4 j8 X! s: A8 A9 X" k2 t6 u
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
- z& x. }6 u; a# v. Z! `+ a0 A- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts

; w0 s: H# D' w% n4 B- Experience or training in library sciences preferred . j5 V# c- L6 y; L' z

- Strong team player abilities
