support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video

resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the $ {/ N6 l+ C+ J( W# T3 v7 C
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as ) M6 U7 e2 ?* ~: g$ y9 }
well as the script, magazine and book library.

Duties: 3 ~9 W5 J/ D1 U. ^3 C% A
- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library / h8 J% ^7 U) c$ f6 a
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
/ w6 C! p' G( Q% u$ ~) H( p- Implement a catalogue template for future use * ~$ N$ n1 g. X* i* ^+ W* Y
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
. N2 r2 r, Y! y8 o7 g3 P- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable ! h u( l$ l5 d j. _- n+ D, N

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week 9 k" {8 E4 o' R+ u8 f) V9 I e! O
- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
0 R2 D3 G; [( o: B" p) D2 }- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
* t/ J0 a, r. {8 X; [+ A- Strong organizational skills
+ }, h2 B: I) ^/ c: V+ F. h- Q- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
1 C6 m1 f x. [3 L* Q+ K3 ~& p- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
& o ]0 I% P0 q. @- Strong team player abilities ! h9 |5 u+ r' M- u4 u O' E
- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
