) b+ |( a7 M/ c( g5 O4 j7 ?8 jFAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the
' h. j& w2 E( l) g& n9 hsummer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to
support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern
Alberta.

/ C" d' R( g% p* VFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
2 S  }4 B  Y" v& m, h4 tresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern
Alberta.

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
' @1 F! l2 I6 \+ ^well as the script, magazine and book library.

  L1 {; D! `+ H6 y- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
% b3 L3 t: F, ~6 @5 T- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks

- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal  
- Strong team player abilities

I have already sent an e-mail to ed@fava.ca but got nothing confirming receipt of my application...
I have 3 years librarian expeirence in U of A, and believe I can fit in this postion perfectly.
