FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the ( ?# d4 E& {* O
summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to / S4 o/ k7 c6 r# p2 R, L
support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a 2 D/ g. C8 a- M6 S
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and ' K8 }7 O8 g8 g% g' u
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern $ p/ W/ d1 J0 x5 }
Alberta.

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the $ Z% `+ ^+ J, B5 n% f7 K' p' r
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as . P" f" I2 W5 O( x9 ^0 ~
well as the script, magazine and book library.

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library " [1 X$ J9 a: q' }! M, N; L
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books

- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure 3 O7 c1 R3 B( [$ M1 j! A
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week 4 ~; k+ m5 _2 v2 t, ~6 G* R
- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks

& z; V2 n) {. X/ HQualifications: The ideal candidate will have:

- Strong organizational skills
, V. E* D0 d4 M- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
