: q! d) R' Q$ v- r3 ~6 G# RFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
" v) P6 q5 d |. S$ Aemerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video 4 \& ~4 ^ `0 M! R3 ^! S
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a ; P _/ M6 g/ V" E! {$ S
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and / f. O \; q! E: o
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the 5 {6 O' w2 {- q4 W% [8 n
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as - G+ W( h6 x+ W4 i# O% i; v
well as the script, magazine and book library.

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library ( ]7 o1 e4 m+ c" L" a- C! q: _
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
* D. T# j, C [) b' U- Implement a catalogue template for future use
( l: O! `3 a0 A2 L- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure 2 @/ X. y& E3 q0 B" T
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week 1 n9 W J/ N5 w( R! S+ s. U
- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts % X9 a6 X5 l, @ z* y
- Strong organizational skills ( [! L; C% A+ F' E% _7 ]$ V6 W
- Experience or training in library sciences preferred " H' w( Z) V V1 |
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal

- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
