summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from 0 q: t- w2 J! W3 ^( L& s& {9 _
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
4 F' J# T, _* x5 z. F* U+ Pand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a 1 {# W5 f# k; i
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
5 T% j1 [1 D9 W# ^" R. Gscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
" ]# S* |, q; e2 \# wFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
# y+ O0 E m( F4 j- _well as the script, magazine and book library. # U4 B1 i- a. p& L; c

3 e4 H5 W5 a: W& u- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
5 F. j& Y7 g! R! q0 T& ]9 Z0 C8 h- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books 9 O }7 W. c C
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
8 ^9 M# Q8 _2 t8 `, u5 D- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
- P7 @4 Y0 g; |" o s- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable 7 W! G8 Q3 T7 S/ p3 {4 d/ a

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: 3 P6 R$ `: x1 V
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts - [" ^/ y! p4 G( D# y$ Q
- Strong organizational skills ( U( o. q2 X4 I h- x4 Q& G
- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
