0 h' g; A2 l4 r6 bsummer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to 0 I6 x, z* _4 i$ N7 J+ {' l
support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern 3 @% c0 u4 W- n) ~
Alberta. ! K, U% X' B' N. }4 t5 m4 F
5 e! T8 n1 X) @. |, P$ OFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
6 e0 X$ w$ n. m M+ H+ A9 M& z$ k5 y8 iemerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
/ D) m( a# {5 y$ Y7 p+ }and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
' r( P' _ D0 x% t2 S- ]" M2 gresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and - B% I1 X1 i: j( {# `5 u. ~ v# L4 L
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern $ `0 ^4 T4 z9 v, c8 x

\$ U6 ?/ a4 A5 XJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the 0 T" s) G" e! ]: |5 h7 D( X
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as ; n1 L9 ]8 k- V/ f1 z: w# E$ \
well as the script, magazine and book library.

" p/ t# M# B L0 s- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
8 o4 _' U" @2 b* h$ v# F4 @6 W- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books ' r, ]' |9 R1 r3 }. e
- Implement a catalogue template for future use 6 G5 }% k+ q \& Q. ~9 @. U& L
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
) k3 o0 l0 S( S$ a: R+ m: `, E: a- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Strong organizational skills 1 V. m% d: s8 j5 j: M9 M
- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
