FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the ! Q- K4 y. F9 O( U# A8 I
summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to 1 [; M$ D- b- d1 I) @7 t3 v
support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern $ T/ @" d9 X6 o
Alberta.

emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video % M+ u2 @8 X% Y7 d( s
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a % g; C4 s3 ~2 @# x. Q
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and 6 s7 X) x, H# e
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

( c- ~8 V, ?$ FJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the 5 w- q* y; H/ o- [4 b
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as # a0 \( ~8 J' t/ Y9 z- l/ J8 J
well as the script, magazine and book library.

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
, m4 j) @) i! n- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books ( w4 e" d+ O4 p6 c
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
+ ^) }7 X* U- ~: S4 e x9 C/ H- E- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
# c- K3 \9 u) D/ q9 S. R6 D7 E- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

- Experience or training in library sciences preferred & q6 n3 x* t% ^9 N

- Strong team player abilities
