; A& b8 _" H& x' e& _! LFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from

and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a 4 R/ k+ T% H3 M
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

! B8 K. a! x6 x9 a0 uJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
& {: W0 N9 A9 V: l g7 A ^7 lFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as + T) U, `! Y ?! W9 B
well as the script, magazine and book library. 3 K4 l7 p1 M, x8 `

Duties: 9 R3 [- f! q; [; u( ~
- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
* f* B$ w. X" c1 q/ u% P- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books % I; W, z* ^0 C ?! J+ Y( U3 \& ]4 A7 Y
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
' Z' X w' a+ [0 @- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure ' T- E0 X5 h9 n/ Q- \$ E
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-3 N1 N) r& i g2 d
secondary training, university preferred

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
0 B& {+ P1 M$ S `9 ]3 c& n$ I- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
. h: J. ]7 ]; O, z1 _- Strong organizational skills
|9 L# Z# I/ q6 r7 y, s- Experience or training in library sciences preferred L2 T( o- ?$ a
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal ) d1 L, t; A9 P
- Strong team player abilities
4 n- r' W2 T: r; m, p! R N! Z7 P- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
