support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
1 j, N ]5 R5 g+ z, Z' F! I# demerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
" @% V, X. y* _" {; ? Q% ?and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
& S. Z) V9 d B% _; q1 fresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and 3 W/ i, ]+ L5 Z* {
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern 5 f7 u5 u. v: A5 Z" d0 w
Alberta.

2 l# Y9 V8 K& l& DJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the 7 ^& B/ C, {; t/ b) _
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as 6 [2 L6 J$ h2 G+ h. @
well as the script, magazine and book library.

Duties:
k' @/ k" d: D* e0 P- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
: B3 u& |. X* n# b2 p# Q" l! M8 e- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
2 x5 Y/ L! s8 s3 h- Implement a catalogue template for future use
) T- J6 w# ^& d. C& z- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
$ [8 X) Z# ^5 N/ g$ i- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks

- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
