FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the
5 C. v1 }0 A( ?summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to * n6 E2 D3 U. p0 T8 Z
support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

3 ?* W }& @* j- C! R+ ~% d( i7 PFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from

and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
3 a# k- O- l3 H% F5 ~; |. [ Vresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and / n( c/ S$ i* J$ V
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the 6 u5 J: `' b. z$ _# y, r
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as l+ o" j! ~ s2 {! `7 z& J+ F' e y1 A
well as the script, magazine and book library.

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
3 r( B$ {# {, O- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books , R) K, f+ Z& l9 X
- Implement a catalogue template for future use 3 u. j6 C4 z+ n( ^% f2 @, u! @
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
6 J- K; E4 x1 ^$ f9 w6 I- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable ( M- Q- S3 h# @$ w; C# p6 S* p

secondary training, university preferred

- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
