summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to
: m% E7 Q2 `) e n( osupport the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern / ^/ P7 X9 o G* n0 X. r) W
Alberta.

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from 3 g% \9 h% { s) \
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
# f: e( N4 s" H/ Q1 S0 H' ]7 Fand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
5 b/ P3 ]- O5 V! {' nresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
. k: D; u: T! {! A# B5 X7 Lscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
& P+ z- N1 g& W0 r( }8 EFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
3 Q- v8 b0 b8 P6 ~well as the script, magazine and book library. 7 B' g; R. V2 P8 S# n6 N2 s
9 p2 {' m& s/ \! P$ r. Y
Duties:
! A0 H$ R( F; `1 \) P' M6 p* Q& A- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library - ?9 G* e/ A( E: d+ |6 k9 n
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books 6 {& n' m$ l. Z0 u0 n _; l
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
7 S6 R4 \9 C5 n- q7 ]) `0 z- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
w+ ]) M0 W( O5 ~& X6 l; \- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable $ N; I! R) s0 s+ u' l. }* L

- Strong organizational skills
_2 E; J) R. M( A; J- Experience or training in library sciences preferred

- Strong team player abilities
