support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
0 L! O( ~! r5 P4 k7 j2 Temerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
+ C0 g& k6 y) @/ h& T3 ]and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a : s, t/ Z/ ?0 t8 U6 _0 A
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
1 {9 X7 T" x6 d9 xFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as 8 k. X0 R( x$ d7 K' O2 U
well as the script, magazine and book library.

, ]( r4 f, Q/ h, B: Y7 ^- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library * I) q5 T# J0 G e6 S
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books ) `" V% W7 X, u' j1 d# {3 z7 p7 c
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
# ^: d: i* L/ p3 B- D- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
9 R( B2 n' J0 j. @" v' i- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable 5 ~( C+ M% K) Y, y* U/ S

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-* P+ n) h3 h( ]! ?; g
secondary training, university preferred : H$ p! R! J" S$ u+ c- `, G
- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:

+ o/ w7 l1 _" C- [* p3 ~- Strong organizational skills
) D4 l9 p# W' f d- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
k# @ Q! i+ Q$ G9 V6 E j- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal

- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
