FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the 6 z; G3 J* t: B1 ] q) m/ C: E8 t
summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to

emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video

resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library 7 V) m- C# j" u% D! p" O
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
! a& l, J5 E. ~+ U L9 }- Implement a catalogue template for future use
5 ?; B( {! E* K3 K9 K- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure ) n% d0 @. H# I) y6 c
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable 8 B( [0 Q) ?" h) W9 F! u

secondary training, university preferred / h( u" v5 I0 i) c3 [' H
- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
& V9 W8 K- g3 i) u- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
9 H9 R- H3 H3 M0 s* ~2 o( t4 v- Strong organizational skills
3 I) o' w/ |6 H: s; w$ U. J0 G/ n$ B- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
2 n% ~# a3 o O; i; R: U# Y2 d- i& i- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal $ y; D( s8 R, w% ]* I- g1 p' S
- Strong team player abilities
