) j4 V' I- ?, N" @. E) WFAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the # n" u' W# K) }2 t) @
summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to
! V9 M" J8 R1 Nsupport the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern
& E7 M/ ]* ]5 b5 q8 |Alberta.

$ F! B/ D/ C% t" fFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
( o- h Q0 m3 I- j* K' Semerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video # {7 o6 M i0 i
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
/ V6 S7 I5 T& K! @' W! t: j8 y& F8 oresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and A1 \9 {1 F7 u" x9 ]) _+ l
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the % _8 C8 Y) @9 N$ C3 `- D \" i8 D
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as . i) e$ R. S& Y) E( p1 N
well as the script, magazine and book library.

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
- x$ A* u( s5 t8 a9 c+ ?3 i' j- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books + o+ t* V# ~; @" n
- Implement a catalogue template for future use 2 _5 c4 h4 W2 h
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure : f# {4 a5 Y* d" N9 w: l- f
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts

- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
