support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern % n0 A& H( z$ l5 J) _, b) {" @

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
1 p+ D) K; x" nemerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video ) Y( U+ m" z/ r; X
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
3 o3 M3 }! w4 Q2 Tresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and " B/ J# `* {3 `; j2 r1 |1 l
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the / p$ }9 K" T* q: I8 A0 M+ V6 K) `9 D# s
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
4 D) V5 N( [2 ^8 Cwell as the script, magazine and book library. - V' f- w. @! o+ b. K+ [

Duties:
* y; ]( ?% o, e+ f3 H( B" {- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
/ }3 b2 K1 M' v, K& u+ Y& S- f- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
: D( U5 q8 f* |& U2 @# t/ E- Implement a catalogue template for future use * {1 K. L7 x; P6 n! T* r
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
9 p8 Z+ x* ]3 l# _- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable . ^( N9 U0 e9 }; U; F

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-3 R( J# T3 P4 h4 y% V- G8 r% k& V! ^6 M
secondary training, university preferred ) }# P9 C2 }7 k
- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

! O% \) c- q$ y; K z7 [+ uQualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
( r; R% }& k8 n6 j, f/ G- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
; U5 N$ L# L& O- Strong organizational skills 1 W7 v7 C% I1 O7 r. ~4 H7 f' b
- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
