FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the 7 o# B9 F& B7 S- ?+ d4 Q
summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to & q% |6 {8 E8 J+ n6 f
support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from 2 J+ \6 V9 p/ m! O' J
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video . h, f# D* F% l( s( D/ c# U
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a ) g# {9 I+ p3 ^) E: O
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the 5 m) p: e- h4 x4 g( K) ~
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as 7 F5 i; @& p7 d0 ^* U0 |
well as the script, magazine and book library. ' W+ B% P% x1 D9 h+ F

- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books

- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure ' r3 j- q8 |+ S) H
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
# T* r7 u2 [1 ^. w! \: Z0 }) ?- Strong organizational skills

- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
