FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the & ~7 O) p$ j9 f: ?3 Z! `1 R( J
summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to
# q% z$ [1 a8 z. a' Bsupport the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from + Y& ?$ ^7 c/ F2 F
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
+ X0 A7 Q7 c; `0 aand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
d/ z, L$ K* n- k- I n! ^resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and 0 U# L$ C2 z" v3 ^8 g4 O
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

( L; U! n# l" Q) K# WJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the 9 B+ q& `1 s& @! M5 c! V$ g4 r
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
+ ]) B* `$ Q) _; bwell as the script, magazine and book library.

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library i" W' Q5 w2 B' U1 X& h( Q1 F# G
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books e. o1 X* @/ u# [
- Implement a catalogue template for future use + j/ T) _9 E3 ^- P( ^
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts

- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
