emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video 5 E4 e& ?& e& e7 B/ F% N% G$ c2 |+ S
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a " C( g& B4 q: e7 w- q% z
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and 8 ]9 J6 D3 P* K" d p4 W
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive * i1 i. E7 B% C s$ J4 h
Director and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by
4 h( z. o0 e8 K! k& s# oassisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department.

3 g) g7 Q1 S1 ^- Assist with research on acquisition grants
1 A* |+ m; i2 `. U& y/ e- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities
) C( j% q3 h, q. I/ I. i( p4 n- Assist with equipment maintenance
+ A5 }0 w5 m$ V. C4 t5 I+ X- Assist with production logistics for programming events
8 g& L* L8 K! M) O. c$ i- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff . g$ [2 V. D, J; Q2 O/ X5 S2 F
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Length of position: 12 consecutive weeks

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: : c2 U, p, |$ H
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
& o1 ], }3 K w* n2 |' z) ~- Advance skills in technical aspects of film and video equipment
3 N# i6 G: m/ t1 [0 g' y" J- Advance organizational and research skills : H" \/ T# I. i) I; G% D; J
- Advance skills of current trends in technology i.e. HD
/ G, l% e) b( I- Strong team player abilities & _! v3 G. ^/ q g7 N( e, K. w
- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
