whose mandate is to support the production and exhibition of film, video and media ( M& r/ ~3 {% V8 v2 b0 ^3 b% ^
artists from Northern Alberta.

screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern + H1 a- \- V) `9 j& q/ `2 n

Job Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive ' ^: [: |- W9 \% {4 G+ y
Director and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by 1 A, U0 O2 j; D, p5 Z
assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department.
' e: ^+ F! n# W* P: x 7 u0 U- y6 `+ Q _* a/ u, P
Duties: ! X" v* Q: r9 c0 ^
- Assist with research on acquisition grants
, `" r; b/ Z4 g) G% `# M+ W3 E- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities - o, a; |6 L8 `. Q
- Assist with equipment maintenance
) x- V2 O) i, M5 n8 T4 X- Assist with production logistics for programming events ; V, z( f8 t$ x7 Q7 ^
- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff " ~! u# p7 u5 Y0 t; @, R6 c: q+ [
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:

" I+ ^" V3 _9 ^% }- Advance skills in technical aspects of film and video equipment
