FAVA is currently looking for a Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant to join the FAVA team for 12 weeks in the summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization
4 Y; J7 R: J8 v) fwhose mandate is to support the production and exhibition of film, video and media 3 D+ c+ d/ e+ y
artists from Northern Alberta.

resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

Job Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive
7 X- Q1 c; K* v# ~6 K1 `Director and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by
9 W% { l" S8 R; k- [5 R8 w9 zassisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department. " j6 n1 s6 P2 X

+ `9 @- x( O8 o( b4 X- Assist with research on acquisition grants
( ]2 S0 F. }' Q( u7 |- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities
9 p! a: V) C5 L4 N: K& a- Assist with equipment maintenance
* R- k c6 |/ N# z, F6 h7 r" n- Assist with production logistics for programming events 5 ?& D B- H9 F1 \/ j$ v8 t) w) e
- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff

- Provide vacation relief

secondary training

- Advance skills in technical aspects of film and video equipment

- Advance skills of current trends in technology i.e. HD
