; S/ F, s) E+ O: n. G+ B! dFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from

and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
' h# [) a$ ]4 w5 l. R- hresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

Job Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive
# F4 o/ }# r6 x$ k) \* @* LDirector and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by 9 d \/ K0 G' u# w' W; n- P9 P
assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department. 8 L' X. D, C& W0 R* x
( e) p3 e) `1 p( O# c kDuties: ( q! E. I! ?2 h% \; y; @! p9 c
- Assist with research on acquisition grants
- E# g7 @3 {: i. B- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities
' M4 C2 X: }8 t- T. g. X- Assist with equipment maintenance
0 r& w: t- a8 N3 I" R& s- Assist with production logistics for programming events 1 r' S& B# {: h& M- G. o
- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff
5 r+ s; D" d4 j6 P) D* Z- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable ) e" a( ^8 r5 J9 I% m5 t. m+ W: n
- Provide vacation relief

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

- Advance skills in technical aspects of film and video equipment * y6 G2 W- K, U7 ^ D, R
- Advance organizational and research skills , [0 r3 M2 _1 P
- Advance skills of current trends in technology i.e. HD ' {/ D2 ?& i5 a% Q. ^( R
- Strong team player abilities
