FAVA is currently looking for a Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant to join the FAVA team for 12 weeks in the summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from ; ^# m2 @4 `5 h7 c. P" `+ S" o
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
, K: u( S& S0 rand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
& w( `' p2 p9 Y% Zresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

6 V5 ?9 X6 B7 X/ C Z) O; IDirector and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by
. w" n2 z. U9 Aassisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department.

- Assist with research on acquisition grants
2 m3 }# i. }, S( q$ F- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities ; f9 Z- X. l. {, X4 ~
- Assist with equipment maintenance
2 ^( _* u6 ]; |: B6 S, U- Assist with production logistics for programming events 2 V; p- T1 u+ k2 _) C
- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff # m. Q+ N4 k8 h% Z2 P0 _
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-2 B, G/ {/ B4 u2 @

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week 1 ?- K1 W0 p, H3 f
- Length of position: 12 consecutive weeks * r; ^7 o' w% w, n9 O2 g

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
