FAVA is currently looking for a Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant to join the FAVA team for 12 weeks in the summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from

! Z" K* L9 ^5 |5 G8 U! @and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a 5 l' o$ R6 S3 Z
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and M7 Z; v. G# Y" V
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive 9 e: c+ D7 F- r
Director and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by ! g( N0 b; m& \, @: Z1 j, {
assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department.

, ]# @, ^1 z9 A# ^- Assist with research on acquisition grants
. R0 H8 e4 {' w4 {- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities / u1 m/ Y0 C: O- L b: v
- Assist with equipment maintenance , o9 W# F. x; R2 m3 q: M9 z1 s
- Assist with production logistics for programming events
0 l* c$ R1 x) I( I- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff

- Advance organizational and research skills + `6 I% Q; k: M* G" c
- Advance skills of current trends in technology i.e. HD
