FAVA is currently looking for a Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant to join the FAVA team for 12 weeks in the summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization
4 v5 C9 p$ s- c, x: Fwhose mandate is to support the production and exhibition of film, video and media

, |+ z8 v& I: I. b* _FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from 3 \- g; g. h z1 s
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video Y; X9 W4 q! b
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
; \/ V% E' m/ n! Fresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
1 ^ b8 t& `7 {' a w- w' xscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern 1 a! L2 O5 X- f
Alberta.

Director and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by
% e" E5 j, L) _8 m& fassisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department. , s, I8 O5 S; j4 l. h. J

Duties: 8 D2 ~' x7 @9 d6 K# A
- Assist with research on acquisition grants & v4 l/ a6 W! T7 i2 m0 A0 h
- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities : y- [ ^: {$ m0 P, J$ `
- Assist with equipment maintenance / y8 R7 h9 n# v
- Assist with production logistics for programming events : @1 h3 a$ h! y5 Z
- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff
$ l S0 I- [7 ]4 U# q- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Length of position: 12 consecutive weeks

- Advance skills in technical aspects of film and video equipment * R- T: F( O" {5 a4 |( i. N
- Advance organizational and research skills

- Strong team player abilities
