emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video 8 V, r! t2 a" i" v
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a

screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

$ _9 L7 [& F: g! ZJob Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive 0 D& E+ W4 z9 W2 o5 H
Director and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by . m* f$ u1 l( }3 l( K
assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department.

- Assist with research on acquisition grants
9 `, n( P( O( X# O- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities 9 u& M7 e8 u: V
- Assist with equipment maintenance ( K& T, B* E( J
- Assist with production logistics for programming events
- h* L# I2 f8 T) l! R E- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff 7 e/ m1 h7 o9 Y3 A2 |. E( d" x
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable
) B) d$ }, S! p# y5 {- Provide vacation relief 8 E' W% y, e4 k7 Y# q% Y. V

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-4 d9 ]$ C1 d7 V

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week * |: C# y. Z* p* Q! a. L* A
- Length of position: 12 consecutive weeks

- Advance skills in technical aspects of film and video equipment

- Advance skills of current trends in technology i.e. HD
