and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a

screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive 0 `+ X3 q2 _! b& S
Director and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by ! m7 V/ g' E# X3 T6 J* n
assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department. & e# P: ?5 l- Q+ o% V4 s8 H |
1 B$ `0 i& F5 }& oDuties: 4 S9 D. f7 ^ z" n$ b+ b: G
- Assist with research on acquisition grants
' W7 v4 d3 Y% y1 W" j- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities ! y" J- `5 O5 p. i( W0 c
- Assist with equipment maintenance ) G; S# n5 j) X5 n" o
- Assist with production logistics for programming events % D% S" B6 x4 ]& v! \
- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff
: T9 T7 T& K- ]0 t- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: * U+ k1 y3 v. X) X
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
" V3 s3 d% s3 }! | d- B! g5 z3 w4 N- Advance skills in technical aspects of film and video equipment 6 H, Q6 S( p& U4 c* k
- Advance organizational and research skills
2 B' |0 \& t# U- t- Advance skills of current trends in technology i.e. HD
' k! I' w2 [% {/ W% I- Strong team player abilities $ z. s" g1 |; @( t" X
- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
