whose mandate is to support the production and exhibition of film, video and media

and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a

Job Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive
! w. W% S8 B0 l9 C8 XDirector and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by " l8 K; T; Q6 H; O( b n D
assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department.

Duties: ' C0 E- U* c" D% t; w, Z b
- Assist with research on acquisition grants
! w$ v4 {/ |" F8 W0 b6 S8 o0 O- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities
: y \- `0 m2 X% I1 o0 b- Assist with equipment maintenance , u6 j+ ~9 F4 S: q7 ^ h
- Assist with production logistics for programming events
- ?% Q; }/ a6 D- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff 1 T7 i! a# M: S# k
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable
) A- U2 C9 g0 T& q; `4 _- Provide vacation relief 2 p' G/ i' z" m; F! a9 J5 |0 e' i

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
% f% W% t3 V- j! W% M: h- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
0 a1 c. m! V! _1 M$ Z9 X- Advance skills in technical aspects of film and video equipment
5 Z# X( C* ?3 a. I# w- Advance organizational and research skills , Y' |9 Y8 D& `' ?, l. B
- Advance skills of current trends in technology i.e. HD / u4 [$ ^. p* P. s$ q, U; U

- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
