whose mandate is to support the production and exhibition of film, video and media 3 J1 `% g) w/ Z9 w/ X; p

3 f0 P6 y+ A, Z3 I- P1 D6 U5 LFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
2 r6 w, P8 l0 f1 n$ A1 W7 i; `emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
) ~9 |( _, Y3 A8 ]' n- g* wand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
9 H9 F9 `' \9 X) H! }4 i- Oresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
" q; r {; _* Y4 g. Ascreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern ) e1 B+ Y) V2 V

Job Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive
% H* H( O: l" T9 JDirector and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by 0 @# K# t8 d) m$ [! l
assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department. ; S& F2 S# c$ o6 J, Q+ m5 ~

Duties: 1 f# j1 v! T. s
- Assist with research on acquisition grants 8 Y" B0 |$ n0 Z& R4 z4 v
- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities 1 k' U2 a8 L f% R% G6 w% Z
- Assist with equipment maintenance 6 Q9 z' L2 B' Y/ ]3 Q2 ?
- Assist with production logistics for programming events

- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable / h4 B u) \6 x% V; J

- Funding for this position is partially provided by the Summer Temporary Employment

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

- Advance skills in technical aspects of film and video equipment

- Strong team player abilities
