& l# l+ _ u3 oFAVA is currently looking for a Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant to join the FAVA team for 12 weeks in the summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization # T4 D) e& D4 T, P. Q$ g0 g9 u
whose mandate is to support the production and exhibition of film, video and media * U4 y' u' g, I: g
artists from Northern Alberta.

emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
' Z4 [( M8 p1 O% eand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a 1 c% M$ x. W4 n' H6 f6 r# L
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

Job Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive / s7 z' ?. P, I& n8 K7 d! Z2 H
Director and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by

Duties:
4 U q- P) Q! r9 q/ t. l. L- Assist with research on acquisition grants
" M. @5 L) i8 A4 T' { S2 T+ q- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities / {! Q: G# W0 O/ ]) `- z# m1 P- q
- Assist with equipment maintenance
0 j8 |3 S% Y. G2 z3 c- Assist with production logistics for programming events
R ?5 h2 J U; c& A! ~- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff
. `9 W9 n( _1 L, D! m- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable
