FAVA is currently looking for a Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant to join the FAVA team for 12 weeks in the summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization

emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video

resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

! }2 a0 ?* j1 x( o) {* `% U# LJob Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive
' Y5 d7 [1 F3 |8 `; A( j8 FDirector and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by 2 r# ]- |, I9 _
assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department. 8 h' k% }& l- d

Duties:
; U' K' Q2 c; ~: j4 b9 Z3 [- Assist with research on acquisition grants ) Z7 s2 ^5 c6 p% K
- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities ) N' |% i v( u) n
- Assist with equipment maintenance 5 | l- T) j( M1 Q3 t! {! w% c% I
- Assist with production logistics for programming events
' Z$ c0 O2 w) Z: U' A8 M- w- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff
( ~$ l- B H ]: x( ?2 M- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week # N3 b9 {& K: u' y# |# M* m2 h% y0 F

- Advance skills in technical aspects of film and video equipment ( u) F% b$ C* _- ^; D
- Advance organizational and research skills
