whose mandate is to support the production and exhibition of film, video and media , b' b3 Q& w. C) C/ e5 @7 E
artists from Northern Alberta.

emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
6 j0 ^ h4 O0 ^( E' h, uand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a 4 w0 ~' N* F! i, b
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and + ]# O4 J% s1 Y! W$ j" w
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive
( l' s7 K. q0 n. W1 YDirector and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by ) A& `& T4 N" L' `2 N4 @+ S
assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department.

5 r8 W6 p- v8 V% Q- Assist with research on acquisition grants
- D# o7 T( I0 P- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities
- @1 e3 `1 L$ a; d- Assist with equipment maintenance " p0 g6 t) a& z; M6 F
- Assist with production logistics for programming events : W" p! N a$ k1 G: ]1 A
- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff
?% i8 f9 }) G2 C8 N2 o- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:

- Advance skills in technical aspects of film and video equipment
! e- y! c8 _+ t4 e+ E- Advance organizational and research skills
$ F& u+ W' a% v* u7 o! p- Advance skills of current trends in technology i.e. HD
