7 } F7 E) J/ x- h) u7 P0 M7 e$ NFAVA is currently looking for a Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant to join the FAVA team for 12 weeks in the summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization

' e- i! N: F1 |FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from + T7 B3 e1 ?5 R& c! b0 `- L
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
8 ?& T& P5 T O" H- w, qand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
" H: Q- z4 K) b7 k9 presource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
% r* y# x c' O7 }screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

8 q: W+ j C Z/ `# @4 i& D- nJob Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive
# C: Z( `5 a3 v, S' s. pDirector and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by
# }" i& j; o4 m: \assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department.

- Assist with research on acquisition grants 3 {1 |: J3 i" r3 ]4 u
- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities
9 b5 @$ [$ H1 J- K7 b- Assist with equipment maintenance ' B7 d; W& P# |
- Assist with production logistics for programming events
4 N0 x; s' D, w" z- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff ' }5 T" V/ w1 }; D, O
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable . g* i) N, ?; V4 r- k l
- Provide vacation relief 2 K$ c( o- w2 J2 H$ r5 C

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts

- Strong team player abilities
