6 }1 S7 T6 d5 o' E$ RFAVA is currently looking for a Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant to join the FAVA team for 12 weeks in the summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
" K) G: s+ k8 R5 _emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video ; a: }. @/ Z9 s2 c6 b9 J' X
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a " k3 u# h; s2 g6 K# P+ M0 o
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

Job Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive / Z8 Q* \ X( i6 |
Director and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by
# P; L; f* Y; H$ g0 cassisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department. # s% V' w' U& l! H+ M
5 l3 v6 X. n0 G* Z7 FDuties: 4 L$ ]' k/ O. _0 l1 |* T" Y* i
- Assist with research on acquisition grants
( K9 N& j& v' p+ h1 @) T1 J- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities
5 `, Y# [5 M9 ^. o/ s/ m- Assist with equipment maintenance C+ \2 j, }8 Y1 X
- Assist with production logistics for programming events 2 D' N. l, d# d& w5 O
- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff 1 h! }, d% y7 H$ v3 P* O
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable 6 \- P8 m2 h; {0 ]+ X# E/ ^4 d

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: 9 G. I# x; G+ m$ ]6 `1 p2 S2 {1 B
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
. `8 Q- b( G" K" ?0 `- Advance skills in technical aspects of film and video equipment
% q3 _8 V* X% }0 e- Advance organizational and research skills
- h' B& w3 t5 L) {- Advance skills of current trends in technology i.e. HD $ M5 w6 O. ]+ f6 t; x( F2 Q; Y/ L! F
- Strong team player abilities
