FAVA is currently looking for a Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant to join the FAVA team for 12 weeks in the summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from

: B, Q/ o e, a; ~; ?$ Uand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a 6 }) F7 p& k7 }# K" h! y
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and 2 G, L/ s; n* ^$ W: ^
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive
- }5 \$ k! S) Z7 {5 c" dDirector and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by
/ f" U+ G9 E/ `3 Iassisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department.

6 P" g- A9 X) a" P; d; S; F- Assist with research on acquisition grants
' D4 I2 Q1 }/ }7 M) F* l- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities 2 y% r% M1 q) }( d$ ]/ _
- Assist with equipment maintenance
, V) a# e3 q! ?; m7 @- Assist with production logistics for programming events 6 q! e+ ]. d7 J, g, f! R
- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff
# ]1 v t; n g! r/ U- G& x3 n- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable
