artists from Northern Alberta.

resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

Job Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive
& b" G2 C. h% [) P% ADirector and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by
O/ ~4 W8 c9 o+ j9 Gassisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department.

- Assist with research on acquisition grants
p: Y( @3 {! @; k# a- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities : j6 E6 ?( W2 g) Q6 A4 D
- Assist with equipment maintenance ( V' b$ T$ }+ F! g
- Assist with production logistics for programming events
! Y3 z. f+ r" @5 \ Y& _* H) G- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff
0 z" \2 J) x1 [" b F a* U5 B+ w- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-7 r J4 ]# J% [+ f
secondary training & o: B! W6 G7 W8 [
- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: ; K0 A# x6 h$ h' P1 k
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
: O9 S( w, S; A9 n' ~8 e' T- Advance skills in technical aspects of film and video equipment 6 c7 M9 @" \$ c! K. m& T4 S
- Advance organizational and research skills
1 l& W% b2 s+ I- Advance skills of current trends in technology i.e. HD + C5 ^; \) r0 d/ K8 \: p9 p+ ~
- Strong team player abilities
