FAVA is currently looking for a Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant to join the FAVA team for 12 weeks in the summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization # o! \5 R: L. `1 q& f
whose mandate is to support the production and exhibition of film, video and media 0 P$ ^5 A w4 _. \' `7 `

, n0 }3 N$ K7 v% AFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from

2 l2 A+ `% a$ k2 i9 Oand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a

- r* Y& V- V1 J4 [Job Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive 1 `! l" ?! T1 [/ t; x$ ]$ t
Director and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by # a- G& x7 [4 i& X4 Y' D
assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department. . r% b) ^" @6 m9 S; y
# {( u& O* {# T: {3 v kDuties: + W2 z+ ?/ l8 U" h, C
- Assist with research on acquisition grants % ]5 Y2 h# p4 M4 M/ j/ l
- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities
2 U! Y" d" [8 u) |2 S, F6 E! M$ B- Assist with equipment maintenance ! W/ t* Z( j5 ^' Y
- Assist with production logistics for programming events & u; p6 V' c( ^& B
- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff # O' J2 R: F4 j7 ]
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week 5 J6 R3 J; L. j% h- ?# t* k9 X
- Length of position: 12 consecutive weeks
