artists from Northern Alberta.

and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a

Job Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive + S: M8 C# V1 [% I8 g
Director and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by " q8 |( w9 z$ C* c, Y$ u, ^, {3 ~
assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department. * e# f2 U1 i/ |9 W7 L
4 O- T1 |2 x+ _! M! aDuties: / \& R9 c2 H! ]4 x
- Assist with research on acquisition grants
4 G' f w; a' w# p- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities
0 N& X( s4 Q' k9 N# J: I. b. N- Assist with equipment maintenance . O9 F% o9 M' i p
- Assist with production logistics for programming events 8 `7 {7 h! u2 B; i D6 \+ B3 b# @
- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff
/ }3 Q* b+ v. g3 C$ u1 b- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable ) a1 O4 z8 t9 o; d4 z s. v* }
- Provide vacation relief

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: 9 t: h% R) p0 W% O0 w H$ ~' s: I. j
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
" t1 [6 L( h& c& y+ b2 U- Advance skills in technical aspects of film and video equipment
% P E! l2 \; m9 K2 t0 \3 Q- Advance organizational and research skills
5 A: F% A9 {! H. A- Advance skills of current trends in technology i.e. HD
3 ?& C! G3 k( V7 Y7 T2 _ S- Strong team player abilities
: e! C' E( ^$ R8 f- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
