whose mandate is to support the production and exhibition of film, video and media # }* \+ t7 _ V" d

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
+ t L( [! f3 W P: T( ^emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video 2 S# a, n' f) i) S0 _
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
) Q3 G( E; P* Z1 G- {resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and " \" @. D! f3 K0 c8 c: B7 z
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern 6 O+ X5 y% b: \: [* P' M6 @ v

Job Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive
2 \8 j( w3 T: m1 h6 V [+ v PDirector and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by
1 ^" D, e0 t$ _& R3 g& W- ^assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department. # q3 B3 I2 ?. p
3 P2 R v: ^* @$ e$ fDuties: ( b3 M* {3 a7 a8 {2 L9 q7 A
- Assist with research on acquisition grants
4 b/ a7 Z o. @) P. b- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities 4 l$ F K' a" D" M+ R7 c6 h3 ]" s
- Assist with equipment maintenance 4 `/ y' l3 k% H2 l! B
- Assist with production logistics for programming events 4 j' c/ N: ~4 t7 ~) k" D5 F/ P
- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff 6 w& ~, A7 d; }' l1 ]2 t) l' J
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:

- Strong team player abilities
