artists from Northern Alberta.

resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
$ R" v0 J, f. v, r7 Gscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive
9 [' b* N; o- n: O" F8 \Director and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by 8 {% U3 r. Z' G: k% v; c
assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department.

Duties:
# Q* E$ a6 R; ?) W; w- Assist with research on acquisition grants
$ k) ?% Q5 Y; Q) j! c( u, R- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities ! [* q* \* @# B- Z6 G
- Assist with equipment maintenance
0 W( @, E" q4 b# ~5 Y `4 B3 ?- Assist with production logistics for programming events 4 h( y' z& [* {5 b+ Z1 R3 x+ ? B
- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff 7 a$ x: {2 K; J$ e( ^& O. k( W2 Y; @) C6 l
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week & L0 q r7 S$ j- v
- Length of position: 12 consecutive weeks

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts

- Advance skills of current trends in technology i.e. HD

- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
