whose mandate is to support the production and exhibition of film, video and media

- `& E2 I Z V! KFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
0 ^, h) d7 m( ~& C2 @: u4 Gemerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video : J" p: W# z N2 l6 y4 s1 N
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a & N! V* J* z. j* {
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

Job Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive
1 r! j, X- U! w# nDirector and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by
9 g9 n/ \6 Y2 F. s$ ^9 \& a# e) eassisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department. ) _1 V% X) e: n4 A
" W" r! Q+ O) lDuties: - {5 X! W+ [ @* \3 T. `
- Assist with research on acquisition grants
: G6 G: }0 Y* F5 L; U$ H* K9 g- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities
+ P, n7 s& L& w7 h# y) P- Assist with equipment maintenance
9 o$ N! I: F) l% |- |, }% u) a- Y- Assist with production logistics for programming events
& k( X/ p6 r9 ] A6 _- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff % Q4 u# K3 E. h( D
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable 9 P0 A5 {! y3 s( t
- Provide vacation relief

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts

- Advance skills of current trends in technology i.e. HD 2 e2 i& i- M& T9 d5 E; s% a( I% b
- Strong team player abilities
