FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from

$ b5 L& j' y1 P+ m+ Mand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
. d( |5 T9 a. Z! e* nresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and " D9 T0 I& ?1 [ ^& s
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern 3 h# P- X7 }1 ?* Q c+ j

1 u/ t! ^9 X4 d) tJob Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive
8 E, A; `- |, u6 zDirector and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by
- v3 g( c2 f( g. |assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department.

! c( Y7 i" X( x6 FDuties: 6 F2 j/ V5 a4 P# ^) ~/ P) R
- Assist with research on acquisition grants
2 W7 A' u) c& x, }, w! _1 R# s1 l/ S- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities - }! h) q5 T8 Z1 `0 e: p0 _) e6 M
- Assist with equipment maintenance
k/ E: _4 d7 h# x- Assist with production logistics for programming events
- E& @: A9 J2 J) b3 `) s; a, ~- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff , d. _; Q0 [/ t3 r; {6 d
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Length of position: 12 consecutive weeks

- Advance organizational and research skills
