emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
6 z. e: o. ^: i* Y( Q7 q( Wand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a # F6 T* x+ ^7 a, Q3 U+ K
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and , C1 A! x9 c+ H6 y# x' ]6 J
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern 9 a3 k+ N# A7 H

2 k& M) Q# k u7 cJob Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive
% h* d2 t3 J2 q+ y) kDirector and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by ; b6 X5 V0 Z N, r3 D/ G0 _/ h# o
assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department.

, ~7 ]. f8 ?/ y/ z- Assist with research on acquisition grants
h' B6 s; b* g# z+ a- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities
; \5 s* O; _- s9 N) M6 T- Assist with equipment maintenance
+ {. J# {0 p$ ~) ]& S- i2 l9 |# B- Assist with production logistics for programming events , u1 X9 [8 n! Z8 b9 y
- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff

- Advance skills in technical aspects of film and video equipment ( U$ i, I4 h/ x9 x0 [+ @
- Advance organizational and research skills . Z: E, K7 {1 W3 k8 _, w
- Advance skills of current trends in technology i.e. HD 1 G0 e$ _0 q4 q: F( I% F
- Strong team player abilities
