FAVA is currently looking for a Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant to join the FAVA team for 12 weeks in the summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization

emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video

resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and # `) D7 n2 r) t

) y0 G% l7 C9 ]& H/ s& x+ YJob Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive G3 C! \) ^6 C# n9 i9 D9 d
Director and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by
/ {5 ?' S6 N/ c' x: ?( tassisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department.

8 \( Z% a1 d, o- Assist with research on acquisition grants
! X& _ U6 l* w6 w* s- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities " k' ]: G4 G* q+ i' J) y" z U/ d
- Assist with equipment maintenance 1 Z: Y8 V- W9 ?- e' i. [
- Assist with production logistics for programming events
" N Q* Q8 {$ P9 R, r9 @. ]2 s- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff ' R/ ]9 D, a, L* {
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts 7 i2 \1 P% U Z8 K" a+ y
- Advance skills in technical aspects of film and video equipment " q: U" w/ ?6 P1 p; P
- Advance organizational and research skills
9 p8 q: d5 [. `* s2 B+ k. p- Advance skills of current trends in technology i.e. HD
! @9 J+ c9 l2 c- Strong team player abilities
