+ R+ m, D, e, l! TFAVA is currently looking for a Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant to join the FAVA team for 12 weeks in the summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization $ U# z7 C# R7 u$ o9 k4 [ Y
whose mandate is to support the production and exhibition of film, video and media 4 m9 p4 X7 s: k' W" |% n$ L
artists from Northern Alberta.

: P( V( \* q7 v, lFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
; L" e) w) F8 `) k1 c- semerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
, V- D" g. [! g; s }7 ~0 Zand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
% S j& ^: k* K3 h2 ~resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and . ?: h4 [/ v# P' |
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern 8 s6 a* c9 m6 Z
Alberta.

Director and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by
* ~8 t4 L& `# ^1 Sassisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department.

- Assist with research on acquisition grants
9 E$ h8 R% ]: `8 w+ @" i" w- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities - _, K; O1 a7 S
- Assist with equipment maintenance 8 ]! h- f% P5 P+ v# s1 A. f
- Assist with production logistics for programming events 8 S& `4 K; |! p1 D1 A$ P
- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff & j7 V9 L4 _! v3 a
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Advance skills in technical aspects of film and video equipment

5 X1 `4 i5 C- A! S- ~- Advance skills of current trends in technology i.e. HD
