emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
4 r! {- k7 ]9 Q8 Land media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
# f7 M) o7 i" c: d& _ A) H! y8 Uresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
~$ z6 ~' h' m$ B8 V3 Xscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive
5 z2 H. @8 H3 X7 RDirector and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by 1 Z" W1 {+ e# l: M" K) U
assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department.

- N. L& o! T' \8 g1 F+ M7 T7 f/ ~Duties:
' c+ m" c! X/ I2 E/ }! C- Assist with research on acquisition grants 9 W* c$ `, j! a) d7 p+ h4 z2 d+ l$ K( A0 m
- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities
4 z! n7 v4 s3 n# Y% b7 P/ d% F- Assist with equipment maintenance
. ]) |* i# n w3 X* L- Assist with production logistics for programming events
1 n/ {6 M8 \" c2 I( T- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff
$ w K' A; ^1 t" U9 D- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable ~ d3 Y' d; M$ a
- Provide vacation relief

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
+ \- D; D6 O2 Q' v+ Y' B- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts , Y& c4 ]- |. a% w+ q% x$ J
- Advance skills in technical aspects of film and video equipment : p7 B, r! I# }0 S# p5 j0 _
- Advance organizational and research skills - i0 C1 w! |2 d
- Advance skills of current trends in technology i.e. HD
8 p8 L3 u6 L5 ~7 J8 `0 H" {9 G4 c. v- Strong team player abilities
