whose mandate is to support the production and exhibition of film, video and media

and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
) F# T. ?& G [2 r% Dresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
# p0 }% Y$ |: ?1 \( j# a3 sscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive 7 f, o% ^0 R( f( u
Director and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by
9 X$ L+ s; m7 v2 A) r4 P* Xassisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department.

a$ A# l; V4 v7 ^" D- Assist with research on acquisition grants
& c6 e# J; c v4 D5 y' L. b, [0 E- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities
W6 Q+ E( [# C# v3 j& ~# D* \- Assist with equipment maintenance : p! n9 F/ r% m* l6 G
- Assist with production logistics for programming events
5 h- R: v9 ]3 Q; i7 N- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff : v" b r7 J; U
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

secondary training

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:

7 S" q3 K2 X" y$ u; u2 n- Advance skills in technical aspects of film and video equipment
