FAVA is currently looking for a Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant to join the FAVA team for 12 weeks in the summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization

and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a

* ~: G) z" X3 U9 v! U* }! KJob Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive
1 [' v! l2 q3 G, p2 L/ W$ zDirector and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by
3 Q$ z! A. l9 g* y, vassisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department. 6 N! @9 j8 p/ U; W

* M' f3 M% v/ X% I- Assist with research on acquisition grants 2 J/ i: D3 B/ _' Q- H
- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities
$ m0 K7 v& Y/ L- Assist with equipment maintenance % y) R" q4 I1 c' ^# _
- Assist with production logistics for programming events 3 N. \/ `/ I9 ?6 B0 X
- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff
; t$ L3 }7 r- K4 @/ u9 g" k, b- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts

- Advance skills of current trends in technology i.e. HD
