* u; Q: ~: j' R, K8 b5 g5 p' gFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from 2 \' y' U: T u: d4 t, B
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video , ?, Q: r1 x5 `+ s
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a $ p: n6 u) \( _3 S1 @0 p
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

Job Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive - G" A9 L2 Q1 v1 O) i& ?8 P
Director and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by
1 }" S* r9 q7 Hassisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department.

( d% M& J! z: J) g/ s4 \. m- Assist with research on acquisition grants " r( k( A; l' \0 d5 g8 P% Z
- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities
, L. L* D c9 s* ?; B- Assist with equipment maintenance
* m+ X7 ]8 P. S' P! }9 K- Assist with production logistics for programming events
( b# ? U5 J# W6 y4 Y. |6 T- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff
* `2 Q* F S4 n7 t8 O5 W- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

secondary training

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:

, G3 \9 d' R& s! a/ S2 H2 U5 u9 _- Advance skills in technical aspects of film and video equipment
2 n `3 B" ~1 H7 ~' u# I9 u( V8 j- Advance organizational and research skills
( Q9 [5 d' C& U' o9 _6 O. C: O, `- Advance skills of current trends in technology i.e. HD X+ Z2 g: w3 c; P( q" ~. S; h
