whose mandate is to support the production and exhibition of film, video and media

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from 7 v8 X2 D" ^, D
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
. n7 s- `; ]& t: @1 O: {. hand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a 9 w) \- V7 q# }7 Q
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and ( i- X" c+ ~& l+ `
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern ( } |8 o' c9 M$ R3 Z- N* Q

Job Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive 2 p0 ]! R7 k7 |4 M) b
Director and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by / E, F( R) K; b$ J
assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department.

Duties:
O1 y) {5 R! |# q9 R- Assist with research on acquisition grants
! j: P8 V: @7 k- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities * d, ~0 E8 s6 V, y3 K1 y
- Assist with equipment maintenance $ }/ U4 s" W* ~) u5 i' V
- Assist with production logistics for programming events : O% |8 H5 L) h* E6 s! A. N3 o. U
- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff
. q3 l) o! j+ h6 M' w* K1 G- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

- Advance skills of current trends in technology i.e. HD
