FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
3 i$ e* S: d0 z" p% K6 r- e6 L' semerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video / r: ^ E/ k8 d: ?* X
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
3 x& T/ E. @* k7 S. {& Uresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and ) J9 T/ Z, I6 u: T5 i( L$ n
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive
5 @; S" C/ \" lDirector and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by
/ X- m% l: g' h w7 `assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department.

Duties:
( O: [' i( Z, C I6 D- Assist with research on acquisition grants 6 \4 n$ P) W0 l2 N$ d/ u4 P- I
- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities & X6 v7 M: j7 ?. P3 |: @" [
- Assist with equipment maintenance " ~0 ^; h) ~$ j$ G" \8 G
- Assist with production logistics for programming events 8 w8 D7 x! [4 @0 S
- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff
+ P1 r& m$ H2 [/ s- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable 8 v1 p% Y" K+ w9 z2 |

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: ; x& G- Y( X1 L+ H# I- d) U
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
/ x0 k9 y! B" {. k/ M" F5 ~- Advance skills in technical aspects of film and video equipment
0 }( e" ~+ ^) O' t: V- Advance organizational and research skills
1 ~1 T* q8 _8 n3 c% b+ O5 B/ H6 M9 @- Advance skills of current trends in technology i.e. HD

- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
