FAVA is currently looking for a Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant to join the FAVA team for 12 weeks in the summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization

artists from Northern Alberta.

resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

8 t% L; m) [$ z1 p& b' B" FJob Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive
+ S5 B3 V( A. S! a! mDirector and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by 1 Q. ^, m! w( e+ d. W7 P( H( v
assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department. 8 f$ @& u2 J( p

Duties:
' s" c3 l/ f4 A' L+ c8 c7 P4 z" \- Assist with research on acquisition grants ) X9 X! u+ W& b
- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities
& x V2 z4 g! ^2 N( k( _- Assist with equipment maintenance ' Z: `9 u& F, [- C
- Assist with production logistics for programming events
* i" z0 @7 K0 O% u- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff 3 t1 @2 m& c! n% O2 I
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable + t, B3 u* Y" P5 f4 y6 k2 y
- Provide vacation relief

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:

) o, M. ~% z# Z$ d' P; ^- Advance organizational and research skills
