whose mandate is to support the production and exhibition of film, video and media

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from + g5 H& q4 \- V
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video 6 J* ~4 S; O1 K: |. I
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a , p7 J" r% U8 J0 `/ t
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

Job Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive
2 e; v" J; d: N0 L7 pDirector and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by
/ w H. S# Z; r# cassisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department.

- Assist with research on acquisition grants * V( _( }: v9 A3 w6 ~
- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities
7 L6 V) J0 k! E/ }! W- Assist with equipment maintenance
* p2 _9 F7 J3 t4 h" O- Assist with production logistics for programming events ' e# _7 j% ]# y% ]5 ?7 ?) \! |! C
- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff
+ O- l9 |7 x% y& U- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
0 Z1 A. l5 F* n* W- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts 4 Z3 J( v I: f7 t* |( Z2 t
- Advance skills in technical aspects of film and video equipment % t- k y' I! M" Z
- Advance organizational and research skills
1 {: M& D3 B% h* g& q2 j- Advance skills of current trends in technology i.e. HD
4 h8 M: d1 t3 ]8 {6 i% H9 F- Strong team player abilities ; P: ` d8 j* p" K
- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors 0 r, d8 @- O' {
