FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from 5 ~* X7 M" o" w" U
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
1 b- w, ] I( k0 t/ Pand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
0 K$ B7 _9 w% p# Wresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
* B% s, x% h# X+ J; nscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern 6 o, T" f! a2 \2 k C) | K
Alberta.

Job Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive ' V% w6 S7 C" E& u! A8 g, M
Director and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by
2 M% G3 N" i% B/ h6 passisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department.
/ M ?4 T: U* n% o' p" ?& P # s* Z6 R' b; z7 y( @0 C9 ]
Duties:
( P, k$ z6 k# J) `- Assist with research on acquisition grants " H5 z7 v& R% V4 S: q
- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities {8 j- Y5 D0 S: P
- Assist with equipment maintenance
0 l. U# N& ]& ~! w( G- Assist with production logistics for programming events
m, r2 }8 Q) R5 C( B$ D" k- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff
. h* {8 l) _9 R2 m2 \- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Length of position: 12 consecutive weeks

- Advance skills of current trends in technology i.e. HD
