artists from Northern Alberta.

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
# S" A/ X0 t7 p# f/ Bemerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video / [1 ~" d5 }% O. F
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a 4 O: X$ E% s R# F
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

, U# q O0 H- ]* r% y+ W9 UJob Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive ) [+ ~2 G; a; n& q' w
Director and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by 4 W3 z& P5 N; G. e
assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department.

Duties: " Q6 O( z* m- b; ^4 P
- Assist with research on acquisition grants ; ]" W/ d3 G; i) \
- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities
6 _5 H6 ~+ e+ t0 p9 q/ ` w- Assist with equipment maintenance
: |- o/ D; r( B6 {) b, j+ G- Assist with production logistics for programming events
" F) m7 k+ n7 O2 c" k% Z- w/ N: F7 m- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff
3 F( c* H' t0 b( J- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable 9 k+ a7 v$ K* T0 \7 v
- Provide vacation relief

- Advance skills in technical aspects of film and video equipment & u5 B) ^; x+ ?: h1 |
- Advance organizational and research skills
0 D& P q) f5 ?: R3 @- Advance skills of current trends in technology i.e. HD 0 Q, {% {( f' I5 o8 L
- Strong team player abilities " x# M/ L4 v8 g7 _& G
- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
