FAVA is currently looking for a Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant to join the FAVA team for 12 weeks in the summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization
$ r! W5 b4 P% qwhose mandate is to support the production and exhibition of film, video and media

resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and $ B7 n7 ?2 c, J2 W% i
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern * Z. m7 Q: {& f1 E+ @6 [

Job Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive 7 C' y) @/ T) C; F( Q }- U2 J) i5 q
Director and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by
0 c+ B, l" `1 K& I2 [assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department.
% L+ n6 f( U' P1 r4 z# z* ^! x1 F
( Q8 k0 c7 L; W2 G5 G0 F& \! ]Duties: 6 F& ^4 H& J1 V. m' q
- Assist with research on acquisition grants
) V2 q8 O% _# l, t1 G q- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities
. C. ?( d) S' K; ^: J5 `- Assist with equipment maintenance
! W' o/ q6 Q' n2 e" x- Assist with production logistics for programming events + {( E) ~0 P4 I9 U% w; @
- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff
% E$ K2 j3 J& N1 }" J( L; A- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Advance skills in technical aspects of film and video equipment
' `0 X! G+ B P. v* k. s- Advance organizational and research skills
