1 r8 {& q4 r1 @% Z9 oFAVA is currently looking for a Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant to join the FAVA team for 12 weeks in the summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from

resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

" b, _- }: x" o- fJob Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive
& Q m# ?, b) Q+ CDirector and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by : g1 F: i! [% }+ B- \- L
assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department.

Duties:
2 `* w2 `0 }0 a! O5 ^- Assist with research on acquisition grants
+ B, y G$ H0 |5 B$ E# e! @4 _ e- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities ( A! s3 P( s* C* l: O3 \: n: v' u
- Assist with equipment maintenance 2 p, Z) Y$ h) S
- Assist with production logistics for programming events 5 v& H5 b8 K% m9 @" P8 g7 H
- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff 5 |+ V4 t; n0 Y* d
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable - o2 U6 ~8 w- [1 n s
- Provide vacation relief

- Length of position: 12 consecutive weeks

- Advance skills of current trends in technology i.e. HD
