3 P+ t, e0 P: r4 i, k* B* ^FAVA is currently looking for a Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant to join the FAVA team for 12 weeks in the summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization 1 m6 `. H) K ]$ K0 @- q
whose mandate is to support the production and exhibition of film, video and media 8 n8 i% l5 M5 e2 R! E
artists from Northern Alberta.

, m3 u# @4 s2 m& o) pFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
# k6 ^0 ]+ D/ @7 g$ g2 z: `: Uemerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video & U$ S9 k, \' x' i+ J2 H( y
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a 8 k5 ^; M; J7 C- A% w$ L7 C9 s
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
! J) P1 b3 f# x) T6 mscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Director and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by
, s6 Z4 B9 {- ~$ ~: Oassisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department. - e( |( [4 S& k/ i) p

- Assist with research on acquisition grants 5 q: r) r: i, U/ s# y1 k
- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities
: c/ V D% a- \' _- Assist with equipment maintenance 2 _% W" Q0 c4 {: ?1 f" J
- Assist with production logistics for programming events
9 p8 m3 B$ {# z7 h+ s2 X- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts - w1 P. n) Y" K% B. f
- Advance skills in technical aspects of film and video equipment

- Advance skills of current trends in technology i.e. HD
