6 T8 r- P9 @( O- F& u& Nemerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
; ~, V. N. B. k# ~/ k! M: Kand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a ) U0 y$ c. x: E( `; ]# x
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and - j9 [4 M: I, {
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern % X0 P( A$ l% h, V( ^4 t

Job Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive ! J3 u5 A# U. F o5 V
Director and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by ! Y6 L& \: q- s* [; H
assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department. , Z8 X$ W1 \0 m( ?* f- ?% }

Duties: / G5 L M4 \7 k4 g$ M q( c( T. l
- Assist with research on acquisition grants
* L. Y+ Y2 C3 Y- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities
5 v, [/ B6 j, h3 L- Assist with equipment maintenance 6 N D2 }2 E! g! N% C/ \! p
- Assist with production logistics for programming events
7 d/ S9 X0 X+ k! q0 Z8 D- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff 8 h) {0 k! j2 v# @. J9 r
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts ) F3 v. { V% X2 L% T7 B: l; d
- Advance skills in technical aspects of film and video equipment 3 T: e6 n9 c4 g6 R5 H$ ~' p2 u
- Advance organizational and research skills
% H: D/ ^0 q/ l6 u1 X! R- Advance skills of current trends in technology i.e. HD / K A/ |/ {" U( Z7 V8 L8 q) X
- Strong team player abilities 2 H( o$ f6 c4 U- N9 a
- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
