whose mandate is to support the production and exhibition of film, video and media

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from

and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
: s) B8 g3 f6 { O0 o' Jresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

Job Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive
; N& K9 a; n' R+ U( dDirector and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by
; y2 n: R, z" n- [5 Uassisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department.

Duties: ' U7 k0 T# c. L& U: G
- Assist with research on acquisition grants & N) U9 `; C& a- C# K( a. u
- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities ; M& K* ]7 [& t; h) c& D
- Assist with equipment maintenance ( z7 c, f: @; T
- Assist with production logistics for programming events / m9 E! U3 G i) v' ~% l# k" i
- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff
# Z( [( b5 c8 P% x4 q+ f) j- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable 5 }; Q- }0 `/ v9 g# {
- Provide vacation relief

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: / w8 w) D# E* j: L/ M: ^
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
) X' u; M- p" W1 m2 A9 S2 |- Advance skills in technical aspects of film and video equipment
! T/ r. v5 b: D! `! G- Advance organizational and research skills

- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
