$ F/ E% O: g1 m' {: P$ D4 `FAVA is currently looking for a Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant to join the FAVA team for 12 weeks in the summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
( k5 V2 O2 U1 Q, memerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video 5 L5 g- `/ [0 I; }1 C V
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
: \ K/ d; K3 I1 sresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

Director and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by . F4 |$ @0 k. z" V9 Y. p: ?8 y
assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department. , }% \" z/ _6 V

Duties: / c# u# j; _5 n( O: \4 w
- Assist with research on acquisition grants
, c# W8 N( V9 h' U0 P8 m F- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities # Z* E2 `/ E3 j5 r0 H. c$ g
- Assist with equipment maintenance 0 c' I# t+ _3 t3 P! R* p' s
- Assist with production logistics for programming events
8 \' y' d' K5 o3 H- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff
: g" h5 E1 B3 N) D, G+ [. Y- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Length of position: 12 consecutive weeks

- Advance skills in technical aspects of film and video equipment

- Advance skills of current trends in technology i.e. HD
