emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
( `0 z1 _/ B+ B) y' Aand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a

9 @* l" O1 v# H$ h0 ~Job Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive
) V; F8 y: b0 s4 g9 o& e# GDirector and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by
( C7 Y, A' n0 p4 i" k1 Kassisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department. & D4 D' S3 n' E; ~
$ G. G- U/ R7 o2 b }9 ?$ vDuties: 9 x1 M# O# L% x) M
- Assist with research on acquisition grants
! W* {; _) q, p7 c! q- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities
3 w) c5 U9 s+ q( p: ]8 i7 I9 w; S& Q6 E- Assist with equipment maintenance
4 ^- t8 w8 S0 V- Assist with production logistics for programming events ; o6 @+ K& A" a) j! l/ }4 p0 I
- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff $ L( z- T5 L* v# H( O8 i5 d3 [
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable
& G4 s: X; b8 R! z9 v- Provide vacation relief

- Length of position: 12 consecutive weeks

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
# V5 T; V4 D9 W- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
0 m" A1 y* D6 |( n: I K9 U- Advance skills in technical aspects of film and video equipment
, t4 b6 h8 U' a E7 f L* ^- Advance organizational and research skills ) [( C6 x% a) S9 @
- Advance skills of current trends in technology i.e. HD
" y% N, ?6 L' v0 x" C. Z4 ?5 N- Strong team player abilities
& K4 X" _% R2 }( v# ]- I4 @- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
