emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
/ `4 q+ j% L7 D7 F" [and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a " e3 U1 }- E% O: u# ?
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
0 B: T8 K! y3 j P# N9 Bscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

' K z: Y9 W: j/ G' ]Job Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive 8 Q& ]3 z* f% N0 C) x' j; w& |
Director and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by
2 v& K# O" ?2 L# x4 E' }$ ^assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department.
% P5 e: q3 R" l' R5 B3 q , f9 \ z2 \$ x) c+ d# c9 c
Duties:
+ R7 Y9 K' Z+ B5 L7 {+ ^- Assist with research on acquisition grants
# _9 a8 O& g" m" P- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities
& Z# |# q5 V6 H/ _- Assist with equipment maintenance * Z6 K6 ]2 {7 | E8 {# ]
- Assist with production logistics for programming events : e( I j' |5 K4 Z
- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff : P; I! A B0 v/ m
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable 7 |2 z4 o8 @! g
- Provide vacation relief

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts 8 y6 c7 ~0 N. G2 C2 Y
- Advance skills in technical aspects of film and video equipment

- Advance skills of current trends in technology i.e. HD / S. d6 t3 Z( u* S8 q6 l
- Strong team player abilities ; q0 d2 u# Z# I
- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors ( S( ~2 l Q( h
