FAVA is currently looking for a Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant to join the FAVA team for 12 weeks in the summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization

artists from Northern Alberta.

Job Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive
. l) {) t5 w6 k3 P8 b, O4 m7 fDirector and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by
}6 x4 h% q: N- K: Hassisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department. 6 |3 v. _5 b2 ]# B

Duties: 2 ?1 Q, r# m- W% z( e
- Assist with research on acquisition grants
/ \& s1 f( U, }% z- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities * Q+ y* t4 y$ W+ q
- Assist with equipment maintenance ! ^! S a3 W8 a A2 F- W! c# X0 {
- Assist with production logistics for programming events
/ B! w8 ^% {2 ?8 l- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff 6 D6 S# m% `' ~; e/ ~: T
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable 4 g- l0 c! P' n! o/ P
- Provide vacation relief # M# B8 |, Z9 O

- Length of position: 12 consecutive weeks

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts 1 S) e+ V/ @* H' r
- Advance skills in technical aspects of film and video equipment
