/ D7 d4 w, N& S9 @FAVA is currently looking for a Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant to join the FAVA team for 12 weeks in the summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization
\7 M& q" H% ^: k) Nwhose mandate is to support the production and exhibition of film, video and media - }$ q2 n/ n: o, @7 w
artists from Northern Alberta.

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from

and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
8 v# i( H- e( D( P7 Xresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and % {6 c, m; I( Z) M
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

7 L* ]. `" f# H' Q& n* \4 qDirector and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by + r0 a$ T S" l1 {; l1 J
assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department. 2 l3 _0 R5 z2 z/ H

- Assist with research on acquisition grants
$ E7 ^3 \( i% {# m* P! B1 ]- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities
- o+ e! ]2 {( g6 Y# a$ n- Assist with equipment maintenance
( G: g: T* \0 Y( {! @+ l- Assist with production logistics for programming events
$ c# p' n. ], W8 P' J. K+ Z- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff
2 K$ s6 k: h7 ~2 o+ L! w$ A! m- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
