artists from Northern Alberta.

resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

Job Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive
3 N$ r+ I" j; j6 A+ jDirector and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by
( ~: W% E+ W1 \9 p w4 eassisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department. ; o6 ^& F' S4 c- x' G8 S% @
( y$ C3 }$ m9 K. d+ `4 X6 @# ?, J" IDuties:
9 ^3 J7 B6 h6 b, f7 J( e- Assist with research on acquisition grants 6 D7 A# R8 n: R- }9 M
- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities
, A6 p( {% S5 @3 R- Assist with equipment maintenance
2 S- U" a, N9 k2 b$ D- Assist with production logistics for programming events * _+ U$ Z% t# d V
- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff / `& T# L6 T7 C
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-7 i& D; H" T: j9 E) n! t9 P
secondary training ; P7 v/ Z7 ~ [( }
- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week : _2 W5 n2 @+ I) H" {) i( }8 v
- Length of position: 12 consecutive weeks + Y4 ?- s" u. n% g5 e& X8 n0 _4 B

- Advance skills in technical aspects of film and video equipment # ?: z+ N) M/ K$ B6 {7 | h
- Advance organizational and research skills
3 H7 d2 W& P: z/ {$ a; ?- Advance skills of current trends in technology i.e. HD 1 u$ A0 z. |1 E$ N9 i2 O- M i
- Strong team player abilities 1 y+ |2 n; E' {9 z; c# c/ Z
- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
