* E0 d2 O" n9 kFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from ! D; z( T3 r% n% x6 ~2 t6 T
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
2 ~/ r! u C. g( vand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
: M' J2 C- H+ A9 m% X9 [3 [# Presource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and G. \8 D8 z% {, u. m
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive
) R0 C) _( t5 I+ ZDirector and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by 3 w- A% U; P! \2 F- B2 h
assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department. ' u9 j+ c) o8 U# N7 w. F _4 ?* s% L
! |# r2 i. l$ P3 { F$ C" \; ]
Duties:
, a# j7 c4 \/ ^- X: a/ V: I$ a- Assist with research on acquisition grants 0 t: N# U$ `. G3 W" P7 Q5 J
- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities
9 Y/ X) j. P# E/ g- Assist with equipment maintenance 3 s3 ~! j0 L4 r4 f4 ~- P0 a
- Assist with production logistics for programming events + L. D& B& D) V$ g% b4 D
- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff
3 }' `+ G+ K8 Y# {8 s- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Advance skills of current trends in technology i.e. HD 2 X6 c8 v1 Y {1 L
- Strong team player abilities
