FAVA is currently looking for a Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant to join the FAVA team for 12 weeks in the summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from

screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

1 K. g8 I( \+ v& y. J7 ]+ NJob Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive
+ @8 v3 M# n+ T- Q, kDirector and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by ^% e1 s( X$ H2 E" y3 B2 \3 Q
assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department.

Duties: 8 L6 `0 s, \5 ]! J; ]; W3 o
- Assist with research on acquisition grants 8 \8 l/ w- z5 Z! v! o8 I: I
- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities ( K8 y# t7 U v# G& A! b0 [
- Assist with equipment maintenance
1 C' i, j: d8 M$ {8 M. N- Assist with production logistics for programming events
) ]* Z* l. a+ i- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts

- Advance organizational and research skills
