whose mandate is to support the production and exhibition of film, video and media

emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
/ H9 B2 ` {5 ], h+ P& N# Q8 Tand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a $ Y% D7 a" O$ f9 r
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

Job Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive
- j/ M; N% e$ s! j/ c- r$ [' mDirector and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by
+ g8 O, }0 E3 E7 |assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department.

Duties:
" k1 U" r S' d2 W5 h e6 }- Assist with research on acquisition grants
' ~; A8 N [6 |1 ~- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities + i4 x+ _# O' j1 z
- Assist with equipment maintenance " S; U9 v# ^2 \. Z4 h9 V0 c
- Assist with production logistics for programming events . U" m, a; {' Q O
- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff ! H6 z D! E3 Q- c7 e) Z
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable ) s6 q2 F& l7 B# W3 t
- Provide vacation relief

- Advance skills in technical aspects of film and video equipment

- Advance skills of current trends in technology i.e. HD
