) F7 [! _8 C4 PFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
# U$ ~5 z" Y8 d3 gemerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video : e5 S0 m+ U5 D8 O, B$ j: f% F
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
. e9 c( l O+ \0 ?- R5 H9 a6 Bresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and 6 Q5 T b9 K9 D, P. s
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern & w6 R _3 @: ]1 x9 S

, t4 t" `9 x2 ^; [Job Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive ( b9 Z; P' P1 u1 J+ U- J( ]* S
Director and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by
0 y1 J! C1 G8 l) y8 hassisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department.

Duties:
# }) `( c v7 [# c" l2 G- Assist with research on acquisition grants
* {" F& Z2 | E7 N0 O- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities
* D# y7 g! h: y8 @# l1 D! B% n- Assist with equipment maintenance % k' F+ _ B$ j' B$ N$ f l7 \
- Assist with production logistics for programming events . \) [. e- q E5 p# Q
- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff
& ^; L& Y3 R% X5 C" f- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: - Z! t/ m* e! ?1 y, E
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts [1 l2 X4 c1 R" F
- Advance skills in technical aspects of film and video equipment 2 \" u- ?) g# @' I2 Q; f
- Advance organizational and research skills 2 j( F1 t) A$ D9 M( Y1 D
- Advance skills of current trends in technology i.e. HD # E" H" M' D i8 ?+ a) e$ H
- Strong team player abilities
