FAVA is currently looking for a Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant to join the FAVA team for 12 weeks in the summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from $ V z! i- y% B2 S* M2 B
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
m3 V/ b0 t2 n) [1 kand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a ( |0 ?1 A. q4 T C+ ?
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

3 `5 f* S# O' ]" ~8 i- S- O( FJob Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive 2 V6 b: w0 b0 |' L- Y+ w
Director and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by ( Y* u* E% s, g) w
assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department.

- Assist with research on acquisition grants
8 ^$ v Y6 }' W/ v7 E( i" V4 k* Q/ \- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities
X& |. [& y5 M* @7 M- ^# B" J9 S' ^- Assist with equipment maintenance
1 R. y2 E7 q: R" ^! D. h. I( y# y5 F2 W# h' a- Assist with production logistics for programming events

- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable ! Y# [+ }% R2 d
- Provide vacation relief

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:

- Advance skills in technical aspects of film and video equipment
; x$ H. X! A u6 e* Y; i- v' U- Advance organizational and research skills
& [( h7 {8 I( k3 Y6 Y- Advance skills of current trends in technology i.e. HD
