Job Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive
; D' T- \* \; Q7 ADirector and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by - y! b$ q O2 m8 O" l* c3 V9 L2 W
assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department.

- Assist with research on acquisition grants 8 S3 Z6 ?; ~; q
- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities , i- F: R; m$ k2 D8 \7 Q' j
- Assist with equipment maintenance q+ O0 X2 @1 S/ T5 r
- Assist with production logistics for programming events
' x4 q5 d- M7 J, {, A- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff
. z/ m' t& p* o9 C$ V3 `7 ^, P" J- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable ( P! F; j# a. b5 o+ q
- Provide vacation relief

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: % u$ W$ u* t, f# L3 s6 ~
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
) E6 L* W9 l0 ?3 G- Advance skills in technical aspects of film and video equipment 7 p/ {, u/ P" V
- Advance organizational and research skills ( `: o9 S' V8 C' Q2 o7 r
- Advance skills of current trends in technology i.e. HD
) W4 l3 V) `% U' \0 O& P, h( H- Strong team player abilities
