whose mandate is to support the production and exhibition of film, video and media

resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and " H" |9 b5 Y- x/ y2 e8 C1 |/ @/ J

Job Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive
* u+ s/ P! |# F4 a# O( e3 zDirector and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by
4 d: j, y/ J1 A* U j. \* X" v/ k$ Passisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department. 8 P/ ?. t7 _. c5 J( X$ ~2 r; ^
$ n* P4 u6 `( s7 ^Duties:
( C0 I7 x7 h$ W9 k$ L9 a1 s- Assist with research on acquisition grants & z: D& \! ~" _2 f1 x
- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities 6 V1 T7 z/ I1 |2 b
- Assist with equipment maintenance 2 t3 y: C0 u# w
- Assist with production logistics for programming events + k- K& n) f' {/ j9 L
- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff 5 t1 |3 Y+ F* @$ s H4 o+ x# S
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable ! D; ? n( L: j% W" t( A$ [
- Provide vacation relief 7 Q* {. i# x+ `0 p! T

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:

- Advance skills in technical aspects of film and video equipment % D: N# M. y. v! c
- Advance organizational and research skills
; x! I4 d+ Y6 n u& t {- Advance skills of current trends in technology i.e. HD + r$ m n; G! ]; s3 s5 _3 I
- Strong team player abilities
