and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a

. E$ }0 [9 H- C+ WJob Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive
: Z; k# G9 t0 }- u9 ?7 N2 N6 lDirector and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by 6 _7 {2 ]/ h1 J: {
assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department. # r0 i* F9 O! p# L& W

Duties:
/ \+ c9 L" W' k3 Q- | I6 R- Assist with research on acquisition grants
7 v" c2 s/ Y- A8 k+ O' B! P- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities
' [9 D1 C) G5 o, x+ P, b- Assist with equipment maintenance # o3 P) @5 A4 \! n" j ^
- Assist with production logistics for programming events + Y Y5 x% O T$ }% m
- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff
& H4 t h$ \; U+ R! z, C3 ]- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: 3 A& w( P |- W4 Y% Y
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts 6 D8 w1 s% C; C1 w% p# h, V
- Advance skills in technical aspects of film and video equipment
' J6 A/ ?$ F) m% R- Advance organizational and research skills
: ]/ f2 O# G. b- Advance skills of current trends in technology i.e. HD 2 x+ z r- W; D/ Z
- Strong team player abilities / D6 f! Q# x7 e7 z2 j
- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors 3 {( D/ M, n+ U# Q% o
