0 q0 H/ W- L0 H# q/ Pemerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
& _0 H1 k2 A# iand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
2 `- o; s. j" O: y! \resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern
. h* P/ M- ]* ZAlberta.

Job Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive
Director and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by
assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department.

Duties:
- Assist with research on acquisition grants
2 p! d5 |9 T, p9 v- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities
8 o+ T4 l4 w0 T3 l4 A- Assist with equipment maintenance
+ i/ R* L/ |; r4 A9 E- Assist with production logistics for programming events
- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Funding for this position is partially provided by the Summer Temporary Employment
Program (STEP)
- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-

# V/ M; c8 [( d( Q- S- Length of position: 12 consecutive weeks

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
- Advance skills in technical aspects of film and video equipment
+ k% ~+ E8 j1 V8 P% Z- Advance organizational and research skills
- Advance skills of current trends in technology i.e. HD
- Strong team player abilities
