FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
- O4 @ J, @$ B0 z7 P( |emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
$ v4 ~. B+ a% \9 Q. Land media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a 7 L0 A" e, \" f* S( f/ j' d. p q6 [
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and 6 L8 ^0 g0 L* O& |0 X) l+ W4 \
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern 2 X2 N1 d, Z9 \
Alberta.

Job Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive : _ c/ ?. T5 C7 n/ c: j3 n# u0 M
Director and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by 8 N# _* e- |% c- n6 G
assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department.

9 v# D* g+ R5 {9 p2 x1 e- Assist with research on acquisition grants
1 H+ ^/ D, \& q2 j4 j+ m5 y- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities
' |" O3 p, L+ a3 i7 @5 C3 ~! k" }4 G- Assist with equipment maintenance
8 k& |/ B$ V4 r1 t1 F- Assist with production logistics for programming events & G1 l% |1 z+ g" o( k, k
- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff 6 h, o5 i3 ]! g* J, S
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable 2 g! L; M p' G+ {9 @

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
% V! L4 l( F9 U C/ D- Advance skills in technical aspects of film and video equipment " c5 Y9 I! h/ c# j( c
- Advance organizational and research skills
; X& P( r# l1 ?8 q! A0 L, f( B- Advance skills of current trends in technology i.e. HD
