Job Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive
8 M( P6 E7 ^5 d- HDirector and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by
7 k; B; Q; r( ?* `assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department. ' u/ C" u: {9 H' M
% t+ g) ^5 N6 v, r9 Q5 [0 P+ j4 ^6 t
Duties: 9 i+ A3 y. _5 x* {, M
- Assist with research on acquisition grants
* k$ ?* m& u; J! z* j7 s7 v+ V- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities ; O- m' R L3 f! m. _& G- b
- Assist with equipment maintenance
% b$ c" ?7 i, N W% {: d- Assist with production logistics for programming events * C9 r0 Y9 a+ n: [( n
- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff 9 ?7 T4 A: C( W7 k- |- i
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: * K7 p. |) E- K% r- {! {' B
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
( I/ U1 t6 s7 H- Advance skills in technical aspects of film and video equipment
1 Q, d- ?; q C% B$ M+ n3 _- Advance organizational and research skills
) x! t& o3 d! h- Advance skills of current trends in technology i.e. HD

- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
