6 w8 N/ O) W0 I9 W! ]and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a ( L: E- Z+ D% p1 r- X! w
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and ' ^: p( q* a4 F' I0 b! R: S
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern * k" x9 J+ B7 E

( }4 h4 d# @0 ~9 n" [Job Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive
w5 M9 \5 q O" X0 @Director and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by ! {1 e6 y4 _. g: ^5 ]/ ]
assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department.

% i( @+ t0 }, ~Duties: * v9 ]% e* L& s; E+ K. t" z
- Assist with research on acquisition grants
: ?+ ]3 N6 z# a& ]- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities 2 }" L2 T' F5 |* `0 E2 U
- Assist with equipment maintenance
4 O- \) ^' o5 b% F9 i( z- Assist with production logistics for programming events
8 J. r6 _* [8 R4 f. ^# U- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff / ^- L2 w+ v1 I* \, d
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable 0 u: c, J$ F" H0 i

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts % ~9 ` A6 K, f2 n; U# p
- Advance skills in technical aspects of film and video equipment
i/ @/ r! V) N" u) p- Advance organizational and research skills 2 Q: v) D3 W" B4 s# L
- Advance skills of current trends in technology i.e. HD
