CSSA Spring Trip to Jasper on May 21, 22, and 23.

CSSA will organize a Spring Trip to Jasper from May 21 to 23, 2005.
Activities include sight viewing, canoeing at Jasper Park Lodge, and

* H' H6 O5 e" Zspring at Miette Hot Springs.
We will go to Jasper by mini-van rented by CSSA and driven by CSSA
. s# t( I" `4 c2 u7 H- M7 n6 IVolunteers.
) u6 F) Y, |3 d* ?, {' w4 VWe'll stay there for two nights. Accommodations are arranged by CSSA.
You are
responsible for your own meals during this trip. Please refer to the

-        Canoeing at Jasper Park Lodge.($35 per canoe per hour and $25 per

hour)(Each canoe can hold 3 people at most.)
$ Z4 V, ~. @2 ?+ p, J-        Hot spring in Jasper for the evening.(Usually hot spring costs about

person. So it's not that expensive. And after knowing how many people

% p: D# u8 g5 U2 UI can work on a group price for us. So sign up for this activity. If
you are
not going, you could also have a little visit in Jasper town while

-        Stays the night in Jasper.

Day Two
  C  H) B1 X0 k2 S$ r-        Sight Viewing in Japer: We'll go Maligne Lake first thing in the
morning .
2 Z0 w' c1 Y2 w7 b1 T5 QAnd we'll do the Malign Boat Cruises.(I'll take us 90 minutes round
trip. It's
$35 per adult and $17.5 per child(6-12years old)). If you haven't done
this
7 {4 f) s1 V+ o9 Z6 d9 g6 fbefore, I strongly recommend you to do so.
6 u' w/ j0 ~( I-        Stays the night in Jasper and no activities in day 2's evening so
" r# k! v- I0 D- t% Zthat you
could visit the town by yourself, or go to the bar and have a drink or
so.

  x& T" H5 c8 }Day Three
-        Sight-viewing in Jasper continues.
-        Ride home in the early afternoon since we need to return the rented
van on
time.

Things to Bring:
-        Travel needs.
-        Swim suit if you want to do Hot Spring.
0 N8 E7 e* w: J, F2 v% u% x-       Sun glasses and sun screen to protect your eyes and skin.
-       Camera. It's beautiful in the mountain in the spring.
-       Bring some warm clothes since it's still cool in the mountain
" B+ E4 U+ s, {& e2 r3 nin the
1 j, I) C' w/ h8 ]" p+ Flate May. And we also will go to the Columbia Ice Field so warm clothes

shoes are definitely needed.
& p  j& I5 H+ k, A, J-       Wear comfort shoes cause we'll do lots of walking and of course
8 c& v( Y1 X: b2 n8 Q4 Edrving.(But you won't need to worry about the driving).
-       We won't take care of the food for you, but we'll stop at
" w7 M5 f9 G; h/ d& R7 p+ mplaces where
there are food at lunch or dinner hour, so you could have something to
eat.
Feel free to bring your own food. (Like instant noodles.) (There is an
IGA in
Jasper, so you could always buy food there if you need.)

* c# N3 v# }8 j' e8 ~( j* ZCost: $160, this price includes your share of car rentals, gas,

  u) D' U  g$ h$ n! kaccommodation in jasper, and national park entrance tickets, and it

the hot-spring, the canoeing, and the maligne Boat Cruises).
Hot Spring ticket was about $6 in total according to last year's price.
Canoeing is $35 per canoe per hour, $25 per half an hour.

old).

extra money to you. According to the Trip we organized to Banff in last

everyone will gets an expense list for this trip.
