Job Description

Responsibilities:
+ p1 f7 T% ]' C- R) c- Organize focus group(s)
& p( @9 U! W8 l$ _- Organize and facilitate summer children’s program (ages 6 to 10) with focus on physical recreation, fitness, nutrition, sports
+ y$ n$ f# v! d; j8 x: {, _# z- Recruit children for summer program
2 s; B* k# @& y7 u- Provide orientation for parents
* g% Q: d* j" o! g* r+ j- G- Find sponsors to enhance program
- Supervise volunteer(s)
- Prepare final report for funding agency
& K! h" a0 ?, s7 b( n
Qualifications:
0 G3 U5 S; [8 Q/ \4 H
- post secondary student in Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
  K$ U% C, L9 M2 O- good coordinating and interpersonal skills
7 l) K: E. g* |( Y3 {- communication skills
- must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
- fluency in English, other Asian languages an asset
- good computer skills
- leadership abilities
" v0 P, |+ c4 ]4 v$ I+ N% q2 p' a- ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Other

- must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

Salary

* }" {: b$ y$ A1 L+ W1 n! y- $10.50/hr for 30 hours/week, June 1 to August 31, 2005
