Position title: Community Development Worker $ k0 M, X5 d2 K
Term: 1-year Contract for Maternity Leave (Full time: 35 hours per week)

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to J# A9 E% J% n& ]% U
provide services for Chinese community: Z9 @. h' L8 u2 T2 t
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
; A9 ~" r0 n: A2 Y3 a3 @ access to mainstream services" L" r/ Q3 w$ C% [: k& }: e$ p
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
" }' q8 y/ g5 m: V, y( H/ _ social services5 [" n, s' l, P
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies. G1 h4 v+ u: Y0 P
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members

- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre, v/ P' @# P- X" R6 h
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications
; ~( v& \' z; _+ i8 R; I3 u; S- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of 8 s4 m1 H8 R3 d2 R) i% ]3 G% K
experience and education # E0 H& q& L; c) Q3 R p0 k
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills, M- Z9 v F7 q
- experience in community work and immigrant services6 Q4 Z* z2 \2 F9 u4 _2 @! ]
- experience in website update/design
; L9 N q7 P0 i5 l3 d7 p- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
