Job Description
3 R/ A% S! i4 |9 l }# }& U* c- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to ) Y" Y' c4 ~' s3 e) {
provide services for Chinese community
( X7 I: b o( F. Z! j' {- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population ; l8 M, f% G& g7 d/ X3 k; m
access to mainstream services
; M. f0 U& V' y) D( P" n& C- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of ( q$ z1 s$ y) P. b( j/ O& Q
social services
3 A0 N8 m: t3 j* l+ F' _- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
U$ c( _* c6 X$ r' B& C- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
* [8 q0 L0 z3 S- update ASSIST website k. e& v6 T: L4 E! ?; t
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
0 E# u# F) H. i! o; H" L% u$ ?- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services" |' ?2 a' e$ @% K
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time! ?* Y$ _) w0 X2 z
- update membership database
7 d' `" g& N3 k% |0 |! V+ D5 E- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications
C0 v6 P& w7 Z2 z- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of & Q8 i# b4 ~8 L/ v
experience and education * j' k: Z4 H9 g" l9 j
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
! ^- U( z" u- ~8 ]- experience in community work and immigrant services
0 g: S2 M; ^ l5 X- experience in website update/design x; X% z, V! |* {/ ~" L
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset* _% y- j1 F, x# [1 A
