Children’s Summer Program Assistant, 2009

Responsibilities:; O2 ^. ?9 U8 r- b/ p" v
- Support the Summer Children’s Program Coordinator in the
' a" Y' O4 ?$ C; q7 T preparation and implementation of the Summer Camps
6 G5 ]3 R) v6 d8 X- Assist with facilitating the summer children’s program* m) w, J" Z+ {3 Q8 A0 ?0 Q
- Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies

Coordinator

, G# f' | V P+ t& YQualifications:! ]& b- ^" R8 X5 N. p- N5 }
- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood
# Q% K3 X; P1 F1 U/ t! w8 w Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
! t& L8 T$ [3 b- Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
! m# @; [( p& O+ l1 x3 F+ T- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills' h% \8 |! _0 k- v/ l* T
- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
8 a& O N7 d. E% N8 P2 N- Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese6 H$ {% J* V9 W; i7 h5 A- \! G
- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
( P: H R# \. S- |3 _: |7 F- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Other Information:
: z- P% }" a) G! \+ n& `+ y- Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June (planning) & u' L2 t( I8 u6 @- w/ q
and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)# ^7 o+ G3 u+ k( m# ^. a$ K
- Employment term is May 11 to August 31, 2009
