- Organize, plan, and facilitate the Children’s Summer Program 4 d2 F6 K, {: g3 F' |
(ages 6 to 15)
: B- e2 p. V8 R: Z- e- Recruit children for summer programs
7 x! d3 y9 S# U0 m! |- Recruit volunteers for summer programs
/ t. T5 [, w* @- Record keeping4 A0 j- _) P, x6 A' g0 `: q* I) c
- Provide orientation for parents
8 Q+ R9 J8 x- E: }- P8 @7 T& D! k( r- Prepare final end of summer report for funding agency
8 B% _: J/ m1 Y- q6 u7 l* _- Act according to the guidance or direction of the Senior Program Manager

- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education( H' }% y7 S# i2 x) L
- Should have direct experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
) z R3 k | x+ s- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills5 q& k- b. b; a/ G! I* Q- f
- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities; N1 j7 ^- J5 K2 }9 y% R$ U8 Q
- Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese$ D) V7 s; M( [: T- ^ I* A- J. \4 ^2 o7 j
- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
& N y3 n. B! x) }1 f" o" D. U: y- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
% O6 D: S0 T6 D3 a( u- Returning student (should return to school after summer)
4 Z# |; [2 }, q% `- Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

Other Information:
% d' O! z# g/ Z( P' h; T- Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June(planning) " o' W6 G6 Y6 F D, e9 j4 s
and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
1 N' ^( Q0 u ^2 m- Employment term is May 11 to August 31, 2009
