Summer Job Opportunity for Children’s Summer Program Coordinator, 2009' B: c0 ~' Q7 ~, ]% j. e. h- ]- Y! M

- Organize, plan, and facilitate the Children’s Summer Program ( S7 M# s l# K! m- H
(ages 6 to 15)
; c) s! B* p3 Z8 m2 f# b- Recruit children for summer programs
7 y6 d( T- f/ A# A7 v. C6 ?6 [- Recruit volunteers for summer programs

- Provide orientation for parents% P' ]% q6 H D6 k6 ]
- Prepare final end of summer report for funding agency
/ v5 U. V# L1 m) X- Act according to the guidance or direction of the Senior Program Manager

Qualifications:
+ a% `4 R \9 _* h3 ?' \% {- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education( }7 U) o6 c, \( Q
- Should have direct experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
* g4 R' v0 u: X* R' Q( w A- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills- c; I* _. T* a; C% S
- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
. Q+ u5 ^7 f' U7 M* A, y- Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese" \9 M' h4 Y* J( V! y5 o8 Q
- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities4 r. x4 k) T* _8 J/ I
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision7 r, h6 T ?! }* O0 V
- Returning student (should return to school after summer)2 d; B+ j0 _; h- Q% h
- Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense8 b' l8 @+ v/ V& J, M) |3 E: A; X2 i

Other Information:
1 G* d9 z, L7 B; a# H2 @" g- Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June(planning)
" G# [7 X! `) S. W8 d* P and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)- f" y0 O2 f, q- ], H
- Employment term is May 11 to August 31, 2009" |# m2 s; U6 Q: f6 J

- $15 per hour
