Summer Job Opportunity for Children’s Summer Program Coordinator, 2009

- Organize, plan, and facilitate the Children’s Summer Program

- Recruit children for summer programs% [" X( N4 _' X- o. @2 r. V! `* g
- Recruit volunteers for summer programs7 { V: e. ?% H
- Record keeping2 |/ ]1 A7 M, f) m0 W
- Provide orientation for parents
5 { b8 d; [& U% [9 s' N) d3 M- Prepare final end of summer report for funding agency
, s9 L+ p( x+ _9 j5 ?! g8 X3 S- Act according to the guidance or direction of the Senior Program Manager

- X/ @% O/ k6 d5 @Qualifications:- u$ u7 X: r& w w) L; W& [
- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
7 H1 q- V" A3 l; D* e' K- Should have direct experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
7 n- k( @7 S. M) h, F" G+ r- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills5 r5 I. @" l( g/ t
- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities8 h1 Q, r0 [1 F J7 n# E+ W1 s
- Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese7 m1 _$ L, }# W: G& Z' W
- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities

- Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June(planning) h/ C2 F* ]- l+ X
and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps) m0 H( \4 r4 @" u3 J
- Employment term is May 11 to August 31, 2009

Salary
