- Organize, plan, and facilitate the Children’s Summer Program 4 @- v2 o( r7 R& B) L, a( m, U9 N$ O
(ages 6 to 15) & z- n7 N+ @. P3 {( _+ X' L
- Recruit children for summer programs
, t/ d) i+ ]& _- Recruit volunteers for summer programs5 R8 C( K0 o& E, e- t/ y9 I6 }! y
- Record keeping; h3 p& B+ |% J2 w9 L
- Provide orientation for parents( }. f; |. w2 h# j! e5 N D
- Prepare final end of summer report for funding agency0 ^* T& @+ ?4 [3 i3 R" `
- Act according to the guidance or direction of the Senior Program Manager, z2 F) e! t6 t% X

Qualifications: L# m1 m& C/ K
- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
! u: V) J1 E5 [6 F2 K4 c- Should have direct experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
; y5 @& m" r' j: H4 ]/ N& I+ `- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
5 [. m5 o8 s' e8 x: W- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities, ^2 E" V0 B6 ~3 h
- Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
% ~/ B, n6 T6 M, b$ O6 a' x- z. ?- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities' a( ?* U; W9 o$ i; _! p7 R8 b% Q n
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
! c; i% Q3 U, u- Returning student (should return to school after summer)
; L* _; X1 S! }( F# C: q- Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

- Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June(planning) 2 b3 S7 T9 L& ~ h8 {
and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
