  z$ Y# s+ R/ H. O( M2 {# y
; R. j# L. p8 B, w    * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications
    * Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis
  j& e( R/ _; J/ [4 v    * Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
. ~  Z, N" x4 p. q6 k/ l    * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
1 n* G( ^: R/ `* d2 Z4 ~    * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies
    * Delivers completed data to users; maintains instrument and safety logs
    * Assists in the upkeep of safety procedures and information; completes routine checks on safety equipment

Qualifications

    * Technical Diploma required; a BSc is preferred

you mean the pay is cheaper, but i think there are lots people can do and this kind of job is worth this price. It is not senior analysist

就是怕市道不好，UA 把價錢壓低了。
, m+ y7 B' _* J# Q( H本來 GC-MS 的， 聼說在 GM 裝焊擡推都有 us$76/hr,現在改行了。

好了。言歸正傳，ua 給的工資，往往只得市場的 6至7成。

    i think you misunderstood the meaning of GC-MS. It is not GM, it's about chemstry analysis.oh, my god!

You've never heard of Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry?
' n% z9 {/ _0 s+ D8 e, X$ ]Samples were first separated into components by GC before sending to MS for identification.
5 |- }% f6 \3 a/ C" d  Hwage range from $42000 to $80000 /year.

ti-MS stands for mass spectrometer with thermal ionization source.
