: q$ N' n% B, r5 C' R! D& G1 e8 E * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications
$ S2 t4 V# F. o1 r6 a4 ^ * Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis
9 Z: `6 }9 `$ T# P * Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
$ y4 m! r1 t" P+ {; X * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students 1 d3 d \& x; [2 V1 J, p% ~9 F- Z
* Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies

* Assists in the upkeep of safety procedures and information; completes routine checks on safety equipment
