: q$ N' n% B, r5 C' R! D& G1 e8 E    * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications
$ S2 t4 V# F. o1 r6 a4 ^    * Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis
9 Z: `6 }9 `$ T# P    * Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
$ y4 m! r1 t" P+ {; X    * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
    * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies

    * Assists in the upkeep of safety procedures and information; completes routine checks on safety equipment

you mean the pay is cheaper, but i think there are lots people can do and this kind of job is worth this price. It is not senior analysist

, q! m1 N. _$ a/ y; Z0 J6 U4 B* k本來 GC-MS 的， 聼說在 GM 裝焊擡推都有 us$76/hr,現在改行了。


好了。言歸正傳，ua 給的工資，往往只得市場的 6至7成。

You've never heard of Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry?
( ~1 c  [- D9 f" KSamples were first separated into components by GC before sending to MS for identification.
9 r  ~1 s+ ^6 \0 g% p/ n+ ywage range from $42000 to $80000 /year.
) x3 q) Q: T; o: s' }
$ R( A% v$ F9 ~( r3 U- Uti-MS stands for mass spectrometer with thermal ionization source.
