Duties
! S: d+ J3 s. e' X* N7 W. \$ F/ P
    * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications
    * Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis
    * Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
    * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
/ j: p7 X. k5 F0 R# V    * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies

you mean the pay is cheaper, but i think there are lots people can do and this kind of job is worth this price. It is not senior analysist

6 D. \& ^& z$ y就是怕市道不好，UA 把價錢壓低了。
% m7 [# \8 Z; W4 \本來 GC-MS 的， 聼說在 GM 裝焊擡推都有 us$76/hr,現在改行了。


3 f0 v' e% \  g6 o! d6 k好了。言歸正傳，ua 給的工資，往往只得市場的 6至7成。

You've never heard of Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry?
; S7 u/ A+ E$ t( ^7 k+ [4 OSamples were first separated into components by GC before sending to MS for identification.
% M9 x( }+ l- D% L0 W: {) Nwage range from $42000 to $80000 /year.
, N5 t( Q% T3 L' }: C
ti-MS stands for mass spectrometer with thermal ionization source.
