A twelve-week training program for careers in Child Care.

• Orientation Course for Child Care Staff (Level 1)

• WHMIS3 [, {. i7 m7 @+ N B
• Practical and theoretical modules relevant to child care
& f4 h% z9 ~0 j- w4 a y• Components to improve communication skills
7 z' }- ?; i' k5 T• Modules on Work Place Culture and Work Search3 L) e+ M5 C' G! }* H8 {' G' c
• Practicum Placements

/ ]" W, a L* \% Q/ @ w• be a landed immigrant, convention refugee or new citizen0 e7 f# x; {. [) p/ ]
of Canada% r4 M7 ~' @. x3 J, K" ?; R! _: P
• have a Social Insurance Number/ Q- B ]1 v. B/ N& v
• provide a completed criminal record check and child welfare check
0 s$ y7 V8 r. |4 \1 {• CLBA score of at least 4 or completion of LINC 4 or equivalent
& Y, S: \7 t$ b, S• demonstrate commitment to participating in a 12 week full-time
) F) X6 X+ c+ T) t2 H. Cprogram
3 d8 X0 o* |" eParticipants may be eligible for Grant Funding if they meet& `2 H& V2 A' ]( `
the following requirements, in addition to the one listed above:- I+ J7 i3 x& Q. I
• be unemployed or underemployed.- C1 Y( B p' \
They CANNOT quit their job to take the course5 i/ s+ K% k; \. D
• meet the financial eligibility criteria: o( p( y9 ^* I, C
