A twelve-week training program for careers in Child Care.: n. n" Q0 k( H( w
This program is designed to provide participants with the skills and
! E% y- [, a3 oknowledge to help them succeed in entry-level child care positions.

, v- }4 V* h& @! L' q: w• Orientation Course for Child Care Staff (Level 1); Q$ W0 n3 t4 _) M
• Standard Child Care First Aid0 I* z7 e! g" B/ l5 } X
• WHMIS1 R# _* n. c# E5 }
• Practical and theoretical modules relevant to child care

5 O- u% y, N1 X% k1 q: v• Modules on Work Place Culture and Work Search, K2 Y) A4 t! {& k. c
• Practicum Placements

+ f2 U9 Z# O+ S) q4 r0 a• be a landed immigrant, convention refugee or new citizen
" k3 y% `: Y' ?5 Bof Canada
; {/ H# ^0 i; n8 e! ]2 K• have a Social Insurance Number/ I! h- J2 \3 _" @- y
• provide a completed criminal record check and child welfare check
& {4 }5 z1 V/ W6 |1 n8 u• CLBA score of at least 4 or completion of LINC 4 or equivalent

Participants may be eligible for Grant Funding if they meet$ {7 Z& |: w: s3 X+ B/ f6 B
the following requirements, in addition to the one listed above:/ H4 t6 ]4 R% J# G
• be unemployed or underemployed.

• meet the financial eligibility criteria
