FORT MCMURRAY, Alta. - Suncor Energy Inc. (TSX:SU) and two of its contractors are headed to court next month after being charged with dumping partially-treated sewage from two work camps into a northern Alberta river.0 I9 A) t, J! G4 s- F
. C( v2 f7 P6 `/ JThe contractors charged are the Compass Group of Canada, which ran the camps, and Rodney McCabe, whose now-defunct company operated the two wastewater plants.1 O7 Q+ @. B" W& U$ p) l" U

The charges laid last year under Alberta's Environmental Protection Act include failing to properly treat wastewater and providing false or misleading information to the environment ministry.' j1 D2 X! N# ~) T/ G' N: B: k
