Business Analyst (.Net Application Development)

) L2 b$ H+ [5 z: rAs a Business Analyst, you will analyze business requirements, conduct impact analyses, and perform design, development, support and documentation activities in a dynamic and multi-application environment. Working under a Team Lead, you will help to develop a long term plan to replace our client's legacy applications. 0 ~: F1 h# f; R
As part of this endeavour, you will be responsible for performing the following type of activities:; P4 _. R K( F7 H
Convert business requirements into design specifications and prepare specifications for user sign-off. 7 v5 e9 x+ n( u' G/ u
Create process and data models to visually represent requirements information. " W: u4 X' S% @2 C
Perform system testing with internal and external clients. Provide support during various phases of testing.
* t% }- B3 W% OAssist with the resolution of code deficiencies found during the assembly test and system test phase. 2 r2 @9 Z9 o2 k1 i& y
Support, maintain and upgrade application after it moves into production. % ?& p4 G, H* F: y0 z8 W! I
Analyze current technical and business objectives, plans, processes, information flows, and systems. & U9 ^2 D) u+ B. N, x5 J. |
Assist in the identification, assessment and resolution of application problems and recommend modifications.
% V$ z) k) w- Z0 [; a; d$ ]Summarize and present key findings with recommendations for improvement. O1 W. d5 K* n; s: e4 L9 R5 V
Responsible for working with Project manager to set and review overall quality of deliverables.
4 p8 Z6 C% d. i6 n# h$ i Minimum of 2 years of experience in application development, experience with legacy applications would be an asset- U' G& S3 _8 U) F* O
• A university degree in Computer Science, Commerce (MIS), or similar discipline is preferred, but an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
5 b: c/ N0 q# Z! h5 l0 t3 A- T• Experience with Web Applications, VB.net, C# and/or .NET technologies an asset.
" ]6 Y$ N4 a8 l, [0 r• Understanding of Object Oriented design principles and the .Net Framework.
+ N1 S' I0 v( L• Exceptional consultation skills are critical, with the ability to convey technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences and contribute within a team environment.
