$ N4 d+ V' \7 C* t+ BThe Multicultural Health Brokers Co-operative would like to ask you for your help and participation in our research project: "Unemployment and Underemployment Within Ethno-cultural Communities in Edmonton: An Environmental Scan and Database"
# o& C$ R. C: z/ ~4 Q3 l7 Q+ h G! O5 ~! a( [- j5 h
The purpose of the project is to explore, define and document the issue of unemployment and underemployment within ethno-cultural communities in Edmonton. Your participation will help us put a human face to the statistics of unemployed and underemployed immigrants and refugees. It will help us to understand the barriers community members have faced and the strategies you have developed to find meaningful employment. With your help, we will be able to share with government and employers the suggestions you make for program and policy development that will help break down the barriers and help bring people into rewarding careers.

The On-line Survey will help us to highlight to employers and government the rich experience that is in our communities. We want to show that we do have engineers, social workers, office managers, nurses, technicians, and many more highly skilled and highly educated people who are available and interested in putting their experience to work! 1 ]% ~7 i0 v" g4 e% |( R

The survey will only take 10-20 minutes to do! We need under and unemployed members of our community to answer some quick questions about their educational background, their work history, and their experience looking for employment since coming to Canada.
