在网上收集了几种译法:供各位参考,希望起到抛砖引玉的作用:

7 H$ c. _! C9 ~5 X7 G6 D
- H& L7 d# Z: { Y [, N! p avoid self-inflicted setbacks (不折腾)
5 \6 k7 L0 O& w3 K
) t; {/ w4 z7 h5 y% F9 B B 原因是:
$ ]; e, |% m0 T
6 I5 l L, ]3 ^ “self-inflicted” has the connotation of creating theunnecessarypain for one self.
; ^6 f8 D7 e( m, }8 R* M' Y
# m2 w( C1 k' Y; H0 \; c$ s 折腾 in Hu"s speech has a strong connotation that such kindofsetback is self-seeking instead of being due to theinterferencefrom outside.6 Q! j7 L' P( B, Y& `, E& k
p% K% U1 ~9 ~3 L- E
“Setback” is a much better word than “trouble”, whichanunseasoned translator would like to use in the firstinstance.“Setback” especially refers to the obstacle ordifficultyencountered in achieving a strategic goal. |
