The City of Edmonton Bylaw #13145 defines a "restricted dog" as any dog:

|' l% u2 N' p: }8 S8 Z) _0 O0 R1 SThat has chased, attacked or bitten any person or animal causing physical injury and resulting in a conviction under this bylaw ! V) x2 V% d4 P# p( ?2 ~
That has chased, attacked or bitten any person or animal on more than one occasion, with or without causing physical injury, and resulting in separate convictions under this bylaw 1 `( i$ ^1 p, d$ _4 q7 Z! j
That has been made the subject of an order under the Dangerous Dogs Act
4 a# o* j6 U: S& d% E0 Y2 oCertified by an Alberta licenced veterinarian to be primarily of the breed Staffordshire Bull Terrier as that breed is defined by the Canadian Kennel Club
* L. s. M$ a2 X3 |' tCertified by an Alberta licenced veterinarian to be primarily of the breed American Staffordshire Terrier as that breed is defined by the Canadian Kennel Club
