months. There are three wars going on in Gaza, Iraq and Afghandistan. # ^% @! g( \$ e+ D# R
A year ago these things would have spiked the price of crude oil by at 5 m: u( u7 S* O) B0 v9 f
least $50.00 per barrel. Today, oil price declined by a record amount. ) V9 W9 L: N+ t1 `) l

There are several reasons the price of oil is decreasing in the face

1. New oil has been found in Canada, Montana, North & South Dakota and # L; H: \/ w G' [ Y7 i, v

Arabia.

2. New natural gas has been found in Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

fuel is being produced from many plants and algae. The production

5. Virtually every restaurant in the US and all food processing plants

" p h* p7 ~! V1 Q4 l0 g; A, s! Mto bio-diesel producers. One pork processing plant in Oklahoma is % G1 q a9 Z5 O+ }) W
producing 30,000 gallons of bio-diesel per day from pork fat. 0 d6 K* f+ ^, ]6 b: T. g

$ d o) l8 c5 x) p% l# V6. There are 99 nuclear reactors in various stages of planning and

will replace oil.

are experiencing 20% to 25% better fuel econony with the new " ~& o7 k& x2 @/ m

Airlines are flying airplanes with bio-fuel. They are finding the bio- . A7 g, y$ _% X& N0 I! B

8. Cities and counties throughout the US are selling the rights to & o( e4 h, B& i: o
capture methane gas from landfills. This is a huge source of gas

+ k# y% ?; l# j% ioil. + w) e+ l' ^$ Y4 t2 r

: X- @$ f% U% E6 s9. Coal is being transformed into a clean burning liquid fuel. The CO2
5 _3 m1 m6 N9 ~+ V1 ^produced as a byproduct is sold to oil companies for injection into

source. Three new wind turbines are being erected every day in the US.

Each of the above by itself will not make a large difference in the

changing. The important thing is that OPEC no longer has the ability
