Recently OPEC reduced crude oil production twice over just a few
. W2 S) I' D' s# H8 H0 Mmonths. There are three wars going on in Gaza, Iraq and Afghandistan. 0 Y1 {5 @+ `. A2 T+ s4 b
A year ago these things would have spiked the price of crude oil by at
2 i3 G0 v2 R2 \& U5 ~5 ]2 a1 D- Oleast $50.00 per barrel. Today, oil price declined by a record amount. ! r7 S: j* d w+ m7 {: r3 z

# a* a1 Z+ G6 F1 v5 J6 q! T- HThere are several reasons the price of oil is decreasing in the face

1. New oil has been found in Canada, Montana, North & South Dakota and 1 c0 A4 u" t; @
in the ocean near Brazil. Each of these oil fields has more oil than - k' g* c( @9 Q+ ]5 U! J3 R

3. New methods of injecting CO2 and surfactants into oil wells is

potential per acre in some cases is astounding. Many countries are

cattle, turkey and chicken processing plant will soon sell their fat 4 K3 l$ [ ]- A2 y6 F' p
to bio-diesel producers. One pork processing plant in Oklahoma is
" |# T2 h+ a0 d# J1 \6 aproducing 30,000 gallons of bio-diesel per day from pork fat.

6. There are 99 nuclear reactors in various stages of planning and - h; y% Q5 c; t
construction around the world at this time. Several hundred more are

older equipment such as trucks, airplanes, train engines, ships, etc.

) g$ c; m0 }& _6 c/ `are experiencing 20% to 25% better fuel econony with the new

Airlines are flying airplanes with bio-fuel. They are finding the bio-

8. Cities and counties throughout the US are selling the rights to ' {' [2 D' s7 i- `* O7 T
capture methane gas from landfills. This is a huge source of gas 6 h0 C% F: S8 m$ U7 S
available at very little cost or risk. The gas is displacing crude 5 H# S' V# ~% y V
oil.

7 e+ x1 `) i- k* g9. Coal is being transformed into a clean burning liquid fuel. The CO2 - J2 C4 ?) x% J6 s8 U
produced as a byproduct is sold to oil companies for injection into

+ G: v* Y- H& y/ x6 m10. Solar, wind and ocean energy is displacing oil as an energy : u! W9 G3 j6 o4 ^
source. Three new wind turbines are being erected every day in the US. 0 T7 P* k" t" e# s( Z$ ?

Each of the above by itself will not make a large difference in the ' f# I3 x" E( v! A. g, \, x( h+ z
price of crude oil but the sum of all of them together is world 9 L- A8 b' i; w" w' A
changing. The important thing is that OPEC no longer has the ability 4 y% F& c5 _6 I/ u- `/ @5 v
to control oil prices. ) F p; K& o: [, L: w

# H! h6 K! _, wWith the above scenario, I still believe that there are under 3 ~) K8 w% E4 h* Q2 G% y4 s* Y
performed OIL companies and probably they are yet to get the justified , |6 K! Y& V1 x( O) B. g: U6 Q6 {
