Recently OPEC reduced crude oil production twice over just a few 5 ^, O# I& l- \ Y" w! a' t% `
months. There are three wars going on in Gaza, Iraq and Afghandistan. 4 Q+ h+ d, |. I2 |( x
A year ago these things would have spiked the price of crude oil by at
- G% L2 x+ P+ n' Dleast $50.00 per barrel. Today, oil price declined by a record amount. % y1 X" V/ S9 s) Z

" Y: J* K5 a$ L9 W$ d) |% _There are several reasons the price of oil is decreasing in the face ( `5 m, F" p, @& Z" } c3 p
of so much news. These reasons are:

1. New oil has been found in Canada, Montana, North & South Dakota and % y* D9 p0 x$ I# M& v7 H6 v
in the ocean near Brazil. Each of these oil fields has more oil than

This is the largest find in North America.

potential per acre in some cases is astounding. Many countries are
& C: [ p% x* E2 y9 c& vracing to produce bio fuels.

cattle, turkey and chicken processing plant will soon sell their fat
( W' \9 [4 ?6 l5 \to bio-diesel producers. One pork processing plant in Oklahoma is , Y6 r: s6 z4 _) K4 v* h" H
producing 30,000 gallons of bio-diesel per day from pork fat. ( _6 t2 L* b$ }- Y9 D

& C# \% \6 @- c+ z a* t6. There are 99 nuclear reactors in various stages of planning and

expected to be built in the future. Much of the energy they produce ; x; }6 t2 j7 J+ w3 B J

7. Every company in any form of transportaion business is replacing

are experiencing 20% to 25% better fuel econony with the new 8 n. V9 p# T1 X2 c8 x1 G" _! G+ A

Airlines are flying airplanes with bio-fuel. They are finding the bio-

8. Cities and counties throughout the US are selling the rights to
8 @6 E1 q' M6 p& Ncapture methane gas from landfills. This is a huge source of gas
+ Q& M, v5 O& |available at very little cost or risk. The gas is displacing crude $ A% f, K% Q g9 X/ V* E
oil.

9. Coal is being transformed into a clean burning liquid fuel. The CO2 , ^+ q. H( g' ?! R# B& z8 m
produced as a byproduct is sold to oil companies for injection into 1 L8 M( [; \3 V4 A7 D
oil wells.

changing. The important thing is that OPEC no longer has the ability 4 z% x- g% |/ @7 F
