Recently OPEC reduced crude oil production twice over just a few
3 Q ~3 ] O9 Z kmonths. There are three wars going on in Gaza, Iraq and Afghandistan. , O/ J+ i+ @, D Y, I
A year ago these things would have spiked the price of crude oil by at * ^; T4 l& C- x/ T
least $50.00 per barrel. Today, oil price declined by a record amount.

, L- f8 W7 U: l/ ~There are several reasons the price of oil is decreasing in the face 4 z. b9 P N- n% y
of so much news. These reasons are:

in the ocean near Brazil. Each of these oil fields has more oil than

5. Virtually every restaurant in the US and all food processing plants

cattle, turkey and chicken processing plant will soon sell their fat ) Q7 t" n$ j- K, u L
to bio-diesel producers. One pork processing plant in Oklahoma is v1 }& m( K! R/ I; ^; X! w! e
producing 30,000 gallons of bio-diesel per day from pork fat. A# l) }% k n( y1 L

3 f6 `2 w: w, w; J6. There are 99 nuclear reactors in various stages of planning and * q9 [0 b2 ~8 ~# E
construction around the world at this time. Several hundred more are

with new more fuel efficient equipment. Airlines and railway companies

Airlines are flying airplanes with bio-fuel. They are finding the bio- " i# A3 k7 ]% ^: e
fuel is cleaner and performs better than jet fuel. 5 C7 N$ c+ P/ s& I6 s7 ], G0 @/ R

8. Cities and counties throughout the US are selling the rights to
* z* c" f' g* ~; t2 X) I- wcapture methane gas from landfills. This is a huge source of gas
& d; B3 d# F3 T8 F1 \3 Aavailable at very little cost or risk. The gas is displacing crude + K6 y0 {" w* Y

9. Coal is being transformed into a clean burning liquid fuel. The CO2 7 y: i- H& T" b0 b1 l
produced as a byproduct is sold to oil companies for injection into

10. Solar, wind and ocean energy is displacing oil as an energy

Each of the above by itself will not make a large difference in the $ V/ N2 [; C" C
price of crude oil but the sum of all of them together is world
