companies producing Jet fuels but Biofuels. Also no wonder if some of ! o2 `" x9 T* e2 E3 f* W% J
these oil producer will go bankrupt or out of the business even if ! ^1 h" T% \ B
crude prices improves. This implies also to good names such as Shell,

Recently OPEC reduced crude oil production twice over just a few 2 r2 \- q; Y8 ~: u/ j$ p9 F3 Q
months. There are three wars going on in Gaza, Iraq and Afghandistan.

7 V8 N, B9 ~' n2 l) I0 e. Zleast $50.00 per barrel. Today, oil price declined by a record amount. ) V% W ]& P; n

There are several reasons the price of oil is decreasing in the face
D) M* _0 ^# y$ `) ^of so much news. These reasons are:

1. New oil has been found in Canada, Montana, North & South Dakota and

7 I1 V$ z" Y' Q" f3 X2 P! m
P- ]( b5 _7 Y- h5 A1 x5 h2. New natural gas has been found in Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

potential per acre in some cases is astounding. Many countries are

cattle, turkey and chicken processing plant will soon sell their fat 6 S' m; M: [8 E1 @7 W7 I
to bio-diesel producers. One pork processing plant in Oklahoma is
, I" w# C/ Y" e1 H7 fproducing 30,000 gallons of bio-diesel per day from pork fat.

construction around the world at this time. Several hundred more are

equipment.

Airlines are flying airplanes with bio-fuel. They are finding the bio-

2 D6 d- w& l m# u( ^8. Cities and counties throughout the US are selling the rights to
B+ q! k% U6 Qcapture methane gas from landfills. This is a huge source of gas
$ O ?+ t; t& a( I# i+ ?available at very little cost or risk. The gas is displacing crude $ X8 o5 e4 J* A: [3 S0 O9 u4 }4 `
oil.
+ X/ ^ B1 Y# P' T2 W& p; y; s, Q* K- I4 a; \( x4 `4 _
! u1 N' R0 I |& O9 `: F9. Coal is being transformed into a clean burning liquid fuel. The CO2 % |1 m! K& B3 x% B
produced as a byproduct is sold to oil companies for injection into
# ?% e4 o9 h8 U1 \oil wells.

Each of the above by itself will not make a large difference in the 7 ]3 H8 e8 K* P
price of crude oil but the sum of all of them together is world 5 B `" V0 V) }% ]0 a
changing. The important thing is that OPEC no longer has the ability ) i/ q6 w% k% M/ r( e
to control oil prices.
