Recently OPEC reduced crude oil production twice over just a few + \& W# _9 n* u# ?2 t
months. There are three wars going on in Gaza, Iraq and Afghandistan.
7 x: U7 @) H& L% M& r; D! zA year ago these things would have spiked the price of crude oil by at
! `/ Z5 e: i/ s; P, _0 l, aleast $50.00 per barrel. Today, oil price declined by a record amount. + G" A) x: x9 }* h4 `3 x) z
+ o) `8 O: w9 J& P3 K `( W2 t+ e* u4 v- @0 y6 M
There are several reasons the price of oil is decreasing in the face 4 u8 _& d( `" X+ ], c1 B) h
of so much news. These reasons are:

5 b0 S, K# l0 X; ^( {7 k1. New oil has been found in Canada, Montana, North & South Dakota and
! ]& a; }. }# J: s6 x+ }in the ocean near Brazil. Each of these oil fields has more oil than 4 g9 P! s1 M$ B& w0 ~8 G
Arabia. 4 q& G4 l) Q. z# V8 v8 T
) W6 }7 S; `$ V' D5 P: @2 U. K- f `; C& c" L1 y& C' r
2. New natural gas has been found in Pennsylvania and West Virginia. * d, E/ ^" n- |! T5 v
This is the largest find in North America. $ Z# L6 F, g* s6 U, s: J

3. New methods of injecting CO2 and surfactants into oil wells is

potential per acre in some cases is astounding. Many countries are * F l: N4 F/ R$ b# h

5. Virtually every restaurant in the US and all food processing plants 0 f% O3 S& O9 @5 Q; v
are now selling their used oil to bio-diesel producers. Every pork,
, V" z: C+ U' o+ f& ?cattle, turkey and chicken processing plant will soon sell their fat % n& a3 g& t! d8 h. r4 i0 ?, D; |
to bio-diesel producers. One pork processing plant in Oklahoma is ) M) U) k0 S) l W p: t
producing 30,000 gallons of bio-diesel per day from pork fat. # o9 Q9 A+ _2 P+ H/ e$ {# Q5 m

6. There are 99 nuclear reactors in various stages of planning and

are experiencing 20% to 25% better fuel econony with the new ) [0 f0 J4 W+ A# c. w$ x

Airlines are flying airplanes with bio-fuel. They are finding the bio- , Q' `3 V J6 G6 _4 r2 g

9. Coal is being transformed into a clean burning liquid fuel. The CO2 , H9 f! _, x, a0 o7 R1 Z
produced as a byproduct is sold to oil companies for injection into 8 ~7 f( g/ F; P" Q5 V' F( L" c
oil wells.

10. Solar, wind and ocean energy is displacing oil as an energy " X) G5 y) ?: a/ C

Each of the above by itself will not make a large difference in the
7 y1 Y( \, n4 f2 | L) tprice of crude oil but the sum of all of them together is world

to control oil prices.
