crude prices improves. This implies also to good names such as Shell,

! Y0 c# B& W1 m; |1 VRecently OPEC reduced crude oil production twice over just a few
- K t7 k& X, Bmonths. There are three wars going on in Gaza, Iraq and Afghandistan. 6 ] g$ e9 R0 u/ L. g) l9 [* s7 Q; k
A year ago these things would have spiked the price of crude oil by at ( g u6 G- @3 n
least $50.00 per barrel. Today, oil price declined by a record amount. - y/ W5 S; Q; o# J. d1 |

There are several reasons the price of oil is decreasing in the face " ~9 L9 J& i. R5 J" U6 S
of so much news. These reasons are:

1. New oil has been found in Canada, Montana, North & South Dakota and @8 Q4 m) E( ~* y
in the ocean near Brazil. Each of these oil fields has more oil than

2. New natural gas has been found in Pennsylvania and West Virginia. * X) p" S, f1 j% v* M0 F& N; g; R

fuel is being produced from many plants and algae. The production

* E' f7 o8 `: u- O5 f3 D5. Virtually every restaurant in the US and all food processing plants
U9 a* J9 B9 f/ nare now selling their used oil to bio-diesel producers. Every pork,
9 H, g8 J# L* {; }7 l9 pcattle, turkey and chicken processing plant will soon sell their fat
' g; ] F9 X+ H3 {/ l7 K$ }) @to bio-diesel producers. One pork processing plant in Oklahoma is 8 J# a/ b+ s1 k: J+ Q9 a$ v
producing 30,000 gallons of bio-diesel per day from pork fat.

expected to be built in the future. Much of the energy they produce 0 W% a6 a8 j( d! R
will replace oil.

older equipment such as trucks, airplanes, train engines, ships, etc.

are experiencing 20% to 25% better fuel econony with the new ; l5 {' i, O8 D2 ` u
equipment.

3 ^4 V: E$ }5 Y& R/ k8 gAirlines are flying airplanes with bio-fuel. They are finding the bio-
: q( B$ V7 g# u7 \1 {fuel is cleaner and performs better than jet fuel.

$ c8 C8 Q: y j8 c8. Cities and counties throughout the US are selling the rights to
7 i$ [0 ^/ Q. T) c: \% o( E$ Ccapture methane gas from landfills. This is a huge source of gas
4 j; H$ ~9 v$ L, u* Wavailable at very little cost or risk. The gas is displacing crude
* _" v: s, N6 e4 |oil. 9 K/ T! W i& \

' U+ [4 G) f1 a6 ~9. Coal is being transformed into a clean burning liquid fuel. The CO2 U& b5 E2 A$ F7 J
produced as a byproduct is sold to oil companies for injection into
% l; P/ U. Y8 o1 Eoil wells.

changing. The important thing is that OPEC no longer has the ability
