A year ago these things would have spiked the price of crude oil by at ; n! g; T. P* s! n7 }' _
least $50.00 per barrel. Today, oil price declined by a record amount. ! p& o0 v, U' A ]0 v

There are several reasons the price of oil is decreasing in the face
/ R2 j! J6 Q0 i( eof so much news. These reasons are:

2 T7 a* J. K0 z1. New oil has been found in Canada, Montana, North & South Dakota and

2. New natural gas has been found in Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

fuel is being produced from many plants and algae. The production

5. Virtually every restaurant in the US and all food processing plants ( y9 j+ {2 u- x, B' T
are now selling their used oil to bio-diesel producers. Every pork, / f1 Q8 a, U& n/ X
cattle, turkey and chicken processing plant will soon sell their fat 9 z; o' P3 }4 `2 T9 |) W
to bio-diesel producers. One pork processing plant in Oklahoma is
3 D7 k; I/ t% |# L6 _producing 30,000 gallons of bio-diesel per day from pork fat. * ?$ S, D Z% h9 g& ]* c9 \

2 E# v+ I- v x& h" ?3 O1 J6. There are 99 nuclear reactors in various stages of planning and + h1 F, T' D W- X
construction around the world at this time. Several hundred more are 9 o3 W b2 F. e' p4 M/ O2 @; x- D
expected to be built in the future. Much of the energy they produce

with new more fuel efficient equipment. Airlines and railway companies
' X! i2 i$ e- Q' l0 h5 w" V# dare experiencing 20% to 25% better fuel econony with the new

1 R" X, d/ `& |Airlines are flying airplanes with bio-fuel. They are finding the bio-

8. Cities and counties throughout the US are selling the rights to ; L. [( O; _1 e& _

9. Coal is being transformed into a clean burning liquid fuel. The CO2 0 M Z6 m9 v* B
produced as a byproduct is sold to oil companies for injection into

10. Solar, wind and ocean energy is displacing oil as an energy
8 ^3 J2 ?) K4 ]( Ssource. Three new wind turbines are being erected every day in the US.

changing. The important thing is that OPEC no longer has the ability / }* m! d$ E% t& @. R
to control oil prices.
