months. There are three wars going on in Gaza, Iraq and Afghandistan. ( L- c. R; k2 y( `
A year ago these things would have spiked the price of crude oil by at # x9 V0 L# b& f% C; l
least $50.00 per barrel. Today, oil price declined by a record amount.

_: U# Y/ T( ]9 b& eThere are several reasons the price of oil is decreasing in the face

5. Virtually every restaurant in the US and all food processing plants

9 e6 c5 U& {- ]/ t) `5 L- f, n* Wcattle, turkey and chicken processing plant will soon sell their fat
! N9 z6 {7 o' z- W) hto bio-diesel producers. One pork processing plant in Oklahoma is
, y2 o$ ]' R' ]2 h6 fproducing 30,000 gallons of bio-diesel per day from pork fat.

construction around the world at this time. Several hundred more are

are experiencing 20% to 25% better fuel econony with the new

Airlines are flying airplanes with bio-fuel. They are finding the bio-

8. Cities and counties throughout the US are selling the rights to
5 V. D) ]) x' v& n0 j& Qcapture methane gas from landfills. This is a huge source of gas
' ]) [9 k( |$ A9 \8 [- ?3 xavailable at very little cost or risk. The gas is displacing crude 5 d- P8 M! [& g+ ~ p
oil.

9. Coal is being transformed into a clean burning liquid fuel. The CO2
+ k$ L( G' F5 U, e3 q' C; O, Eproduced as a byproduct is sold to oil companies for injection into

) P# m* I2 U8 n) C2 E0 | G' E' P& ?4 B) P
10. Solar, wind and ocean energy is displacing oil as an energy
5 o U- ~* t9 R& w5 Asource. Three new wind turbines are being erected every day in the US. * g1 X N8 m4 d. b

Each of the above by itself will not make a large difference in the " e5 v2 r/ I# J* l
price of crude oil but the sum of all of them together is world
8 x: z1 u. B5 t$ r, }changing. The important thing is that OPEC no longer has the ability
