A year ago these things would have spiked the price of crude oil by at + L# `/ b$ P, U q- _- |
least $50.00 per barrel. Today, oil price declined by a record amount. 8 s+ {: ~! {' X) w1 X

There are several reasons the price of oil is decreasing in the face 2 k4 `6 h! |8 J! v* p% S: I

5 T2 L q3 q5 F6 l V1. New oil has been found in Canada, Montana, North & South Dakota and
1 X& Q" @+ {! u3 D. g6 `in the ocean near Brazil. Each of these oil fields has more oil than
# g7 Y: Z X4 G5 N# ~3 e5 PArabia. 4 c2 m- Z$ F6 j5 T, R6 T/ Y. L2 j
8 v, R* r( B {+ {0 q* E1 k9 J" i: O% A$ x7 {- c& r
2. New natural gas has been found in Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

being used to double their output.

4. Production of bio-fuels is beginning to reach critical mass. Bio

potential per acre in some cases is astounding. Many countries are ; U: ]/ x6 Q6 L; j. ~( R+ j$ R
racing to produce bio fuels.

cattle, turkey and chicken processing plant will soon sell their fat * u0 D1 S7 ?3 c! s6 G7 D3 ~, O
to bio-diesel producers. One pork processing plant in Oklahoma is 0 P( K8 H. ~* _8 n
producing 30,000 gallons of bio-diesel per day from pork fat. M. |7 N8 ]5 O- A

; X+ G$ x5 g6 F6 t6. There are 99 nuclear reactors in various stages of planning and 6 Y+ B& d/ T; m
construction around the world at this time. Several hundred more are 0 V) B' Y; j: b: p

7. Every company in any form of transportaion business is replacing

are experiencing 20% to 25% better fuel econony with the new

, Q/ E6 D8 b9 M. j! T6 i1 vAirlines are flying airplanes with bio-fuel. They are finding the bio- & M6 J# ~* ]3 m) H

8. Cities and counties throughout the US are selling the rights to ; T" M. x- i7 g# ^6 B
capture methane gas from landfills. This is a huge source of gas
8 H6 O3 n' V# C8 W' n- U$ iavailable at very little cost or risk. The gas is displacing crude $ P2 O; l4 Q! k7 \' C B `
oil. 8 N% Z. i1 m4 F- i
2 g. n8 A* n) W9 z* K1 t: N
2 l$ G4 p/ T2 f4 i5 t1 S9. Coal is being transformed into a clean burning liquid fuel. The CO2
; o, Z. R3 k$ ^1 x4 T* Nproduced as a byproduct is sold to oil companies for injection into ) n2 G" Q( d# S8 l, J4 M
oil wells.

Each of the above by itself will not make a large difference in the

changing. The important thing is that OPEC no longer has the ability . c5 G. D( l1 @
to control oil prices.

performed OIL companies and probably they are yet to get the justified
