只针对中国的电工，还是所有没经过学徒的电工？
( R( j& p+ b* R8 k  `5 b我见过别的国家没经过学徒的电工，还有东南亚的华侨，理论技能一塌糊涂，完全凭经验干活。烤烤他们，准糊。
+ W; o, j3 x* b* B: y, \; ^+ ^. \曾经一老兄，二十多年的journeyman，拿两个heater，串联接起来，说是一个heater太小，怕不管用。
# Q: Q2 x- J3 s5 [  I; W2 n) u以前有一印度兄弟来我原先的工作单位应聘，老板拿了一节我握好的管子，问他能不能照做，老兄说能，然后双手握管，开始比划，然后就被客气的送走了。那个是铁管子，用手，doesn't work！不过，并不是所有电工都握管子，人家不干这行的，也来考，不公平。这又不是电工基本技能。听起来工会那些头头多是握管电工出身的。

I understood that all electricians without any apprenticeship experience within Canada will be a test in union, the union then will give a training lesson to the electricians who fail the test, this is not just including Chinese Electricians, it includes all electricians from outside Canada.

Does anybody know this test is mandatory? Does the test is for everyone who already in Uinion or who will join the union, or both?

Actually we will have a meeting with  IBEW 424 president Jim in the middle of January.
% B  o. w- i! u1 PWe will present all those concerns and try to talk about this issue.
There are also some other issues we need to communicate with the Union.
! |- Q2 @3 K. R1 L3 \' r& VI will post my draft about those issues and ask for the feedback from our members.

这种考试有意义吗？见过不少有学徒经验的洋JOURNEYMAN一样不会弯管，不会接电机，到头来，还是没学徒经验的中国JOURNEYMAN给他们擦屁股。

I heard at the meeting that if one failed the test, then the union will ask you to join the training lesson inside the union.

Does anybody have the phone number of Barry or Jim ?

基本的弯管知识都有了标准示范，搜索conduit bending就好了。一般都是半寸的管子。至于机器弯管，我还没有操作过，也没在这个网站找到示范。没有相应经验的可以去看看。

我有BARRY 或JIM 的电话，但我不知POST 在网上是否核合适。
给我发一短信。
有关机器弯管，一般是弯90度。机器的顶端都会一个TABLE,查一下对具体尺寸如3/4INCH的补偿量是多少，在管子上MARK那个尺寸，我记得对3/4INCH的管子好像是9INCH，将那个MARK对准机器上的箭头，按下按钮一直到指示到92度左右，因为管子会往回弹一些，然后再校正。若弯的不够90度放回机器，再弯多一点，若弯的过了90度，举起管子在弯角敲几下。再用大SQUARE　量一下，MATCH就好，若不MATCH,重复以上步骤。
