   该法案的最后阶段将在1月1号起实施。从此，烟民们将不能在大专院校里、药店里和超市里买烟。

The Alberta government, already suffering from declining oil revenue, is now facing a dip in tobacco revenue.

Figures from the quarterly fiscal update show a six percent drop sucking away $50 million dollars from initial budget projections.

; ]- q0 y' @+ {( K' QAngeline Webb, a Cancer Control Analyst for the Canadian Cancer Society, says "it appears that the Tobacco Reduction Act is having the desired effect."

! G$ q& D/ n; n! DMeanwhile the final phase of the Act goes into effect on January 1st.

That's when smokers will no longer be able to purchase their fix at post-secondary institutions along with businesses containing a pharmacy, and that includes supermarkets.

But the Campaign for a Smoke-Free Alberta is still calling for a two-dollar per pack tax increase to make smoking even less affordable.

It points to a recent Health Canada survey which found 20 per cent of Alberta teens smoke, compared with 15 per cent across Canada.
