Job Description

- I5 Q( {) P) i1 {4 WFull time position (35 hours each week)

Job Description – Responsibilities
•        accountable for T.A.N.G. (Towards A Non-Violent Generation) youth program
  A9 u: m  ?6 o1 @3 w' D- q•        writing final reports and assisting in grant proposals for future youth programs
•        supervising and recruiting volunteers for youth program
•        coordinate, develop and manage a summer youth program
•        liaison and working with community and community services providers to further develop youth and girls/women program
4 t+ @+ u. m# Y& }4 A1 s•        train in areas of management, organization and fundraising
+ }/ X5 a/ K$ h7 w* H5 K; C•        accountable for evaluation of all activities based on logic model
" K' ^. m+ m& X/ `  E+ y•        demonstrate team spirit in achieving visions and objectives of the Centre
•        participate in external committees, conferences and workshops for youth related issues
& T! o( s  h# F# c' L. x•        be open and willing to explore new ideas
4 z$ G! d7 C* \2 O7 s•        assist with other activities/programs at the Centre
1 i) ?4 i" M% y2 \$ h. ^•        work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
•        be energetic, enthusiastic and most importantly, sense of humor

( R$ o9 z' r& M* Q8 _8 C/ w; x9 g! AQualifications
$ i: o% L; F5 p- ~. r% B7 K4 C•        degree/diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or any other post secondary education with related work experience
) C/ b- w  _* v$ i! U0 x, V( T; Q' V•        good oral and written English, second Asian language an asset
- [1 u0 H% y. H. f6 V, v/ z0 I0 U) H•        experience in community work, supervising and managing youths, volunteers, immigrant related issues, experience or knowledge of crime prevention issues an asset
, n$ V1 m+ W5 S0 u5 t•        leadership skills, well organized, able to multi-task, good social skills, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
•        willingness to learn
