Position: Youth Services Manager

Job Description – Responsibilities
6 I$ [. ~7 m" F' w5 u•        accountable for T.A.N.G. (Towards A Non-Violent Generation) youth program
•        writing final reports and assisting in grant proposals for future youth programs
, D/ U6 k+ E& C9 {: N# N•        supervising and recruiting volunteers for youth program
: o4 h9 J; D5 r•        coordinate, develop and manage a summer youth program
•        liaison and working with community and community services providers to further develop youth and girls/women program
" @7 R$ ]2 K/ L1 P•        train in areas of management, organization and fundraising
•        accountable for evaluation of all activities based on logic model
•        demonstrate team spirit in achieving visions and objectives of the Centre
8 N. ~4 o/ P8 S+ _3 v) ~$ @. O/ s: \•        participate in external committees, conferences and workshops for youth related issues
•        be open and willing to explore new ideas
5 L3 R& P" M# w7 b* ~! Z# w•        assist with other activities/programs at the Centre
5 ?% I3 F$ [3 q1 K•        work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
6 X. B' ]3 c3 {$ h4 o' R0 E/ I•        be energetic, enthusiastic and most importantly, sense of humor

Qualifications
% @1 N8 Y. m; q9 u7 q•        degree/diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or any other post secondary education with related work experience
0 {; d3 F* p* m•        good oral and written English, second Asian language an asset
•        experience in community work, supervising and managing youths, volunteers, immigrant related issues, experience or knowledge of crime prevention issues an asset
4 @; n) ~' W0 R. ~+ R9 D•        leadership skills, well organized, able to multi-task, good social skills, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
