The pain of our loss is beyond anything we could

> and over again people tell us that they could never
> begin to understand the
/ K) ?$ W6 r( F$ `, @- ]> depth of our loss. That is true. But we know of One
> who does understand and
3 X% `8 U& p  a2 y2 E> feel our pain because He lost His son, too. It
* m' j! `/ K3 k  i  `$ _. k7 O( o$ }> happened when God gave the
+ l" }. r! w3 ?0 F> sinless life of His son ant the cross to redeem
& t3 z* q% v8 r5 ]; K> sinful lives and to purchase
> forgiveness for us all. There days later, He raised
7 |) M5 v# w4 l3 ]8 ?* ^> His son from the dead
- Y$ b. y, e4 o& C* u> and conquered death. It is though this event where
" C! x" y% O: r> human history was
> intersected by divine grace and mercy that we have
; h! J+ |+ v" b* @2 k> hope. This hope, that's
> what's sustaining us. It's not an idle wish, but a
6 p7 ?5 F5 K% j- V> certainty based on the
0 \2 s8 _" m# q8 V> promise of God. And this hope fills us with eager
5 D, v# u  n5 O> anticipation and a longing
: q4 x+ G1 }5 Z( G1 v7 |> for the time when we shall be forever with the Lord.
> It is this hope that

> and says to be still and know that I am God.
