Position Title: New Equipment Sales Consultant `1 h! J1 d, R Y6 i( q5 r/ ]2 ^0 f$ W
Location: Edmonton

Major Responsibilities: # y* W6 n7 j; i [9 r/ l! C/ {
• Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes). This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.5 {0 F) C6 J( s# }6 V) w
• Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory. {# v# k$ w$ t6 i/ J1 `. }* Q
• Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations. This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements. ' Q0 [; M$ ]* R/ `7 N! D6 _% H
• Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required. This maybe in the field or in the office.; {# b+ R# F) Y$ ]; a3 J G
• Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.+ C- \1 F% @" @* }/ |
• Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.
+ A" {) k, \' _9 d• Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas." ~8 f# H. S& f8 I' I: y$ P& b1 R
• Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.3 U0 T2 B* ~' \
• Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.
, p8 h) t, Z" [: L4 B• Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.
2 J& M$ m1 ?* X• Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc. Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.
5 z: H% H4 D) D1 M• Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services. Recommend changes.
4 a% }) p+ H7 x! ]' d: S: m$ r2 ?4 X• Actively participate as member of sales team. Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required.
; H1 A5 m0 u9 J3 w E# ]9 E; s• Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset. 9 e- F, z# t+ ?9 }% s1 L
• 3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment. + R1 }; a) m; M& _9 ^
• Mechanical/electrical aptitude. + o z" q$ a( G
• Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential
; G( K: ]) O: |' I, b. A4 a• Not scared of heights
# U3 c# ^2 a% d' K• Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other
1 U. T; i, Q2 _• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. ; f) y' [# p0 _+ g! e i( J( M3 `
• Superior organizational aptitude, including sales process.
