/ R5 P" a$ K% [/ t * Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program
8 B2 h- V" e9 ]+ j( ^* ~0 e2 [ * Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities7 O! [; _% k7 ^) w
* Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes
; L& ^. ^: y# t8 T* m- }2 e* u# d1 n * Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat
7 [. O7 d8 ]5 Q5 [% K. l" u * Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders
' d5 a% B# P& E, v/ x * Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements
3 b$ u+ z o0 n1 [5 k7 Z$ q * Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs, ^% g3 q; y" i
* Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director
4 A& [% ~) s! a! C * Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning9 A. M/ O) f, K" \: z
* Develops high quality promotional and educational materials
: k. ^& y. W) T2 m0 ~6 ]1 p * Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media
+ v: ~0 ]; S! x& ]/ } P * Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results
\. w' s# e, ~& ~ * Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies* S! N: R( G4 g9 y6 y/ j5 ^' G

Qualifications
# F8 y# ^& N. U/ s( @8 ~7 }( _* V2 q3 Z2 P# |" h/ ]
* Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred
; g" G9 o! ]; e/ a, Q7 A G Q * Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
' u8 m7 ^) j3 ^3 l9 |% F# W5 M * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset
2 g0 J' B0 {: O/ t% q * Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies
) g; e: V3 _9 p& @+ l3 _ * Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills; o& `" O7 L9 G# i5 E j y+ `
* Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning. o) ^1 W! T$ e
* Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)* ~7 F) n0 E. X5 Z V
* Excellent communication (oral and written) and analytical skills
