* Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program
: M, _; z- Q! t) L5 k * Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities
" V( [. `: S1 ~# T$ i. N- _ * Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes$ m2 o0 J. F. l2 Y W& y' C! z0 r
* Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat
4 ?2 u9 V4 D% Y: l3 ?+ b1 I * Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders0 r$ L6 h+ o4 r0 R
* Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements
- E& T) e5 J( Q) \: i * Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs+ _7 X+ y7 Z3 _, Z
* Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director$ z* V. H0 H* s" g' [" Y, X
* Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning

* Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media
& ` q- X0 I0 M% Z* S6 m * Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results
1 B0 K% D% ~2 i8 ]9 D * Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies

# L/ |# `7 r: g) ?% Y p4 r* _ * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred9 i% }& W$ E2 r2 p2 u
* Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth( t( b5 _6 T# K/ A3 D& r
* Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset
1 [* `/ u o6 d1 i( N * Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies
5 i8 |+ B$ Q' ?/ { P- L j1 M * Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills) h) |; g* @& R: I
* Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning
