( p* Z3 h2 W1 A * Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program
/ C8 P' R f8 I' G2 N# q * Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities, X/ R. ~( X. Z9 M3 y
* Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes- W- Y1 c4 ?3 Q9 `
* Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat
2 ?( ]7 V5 P I" t * Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders
" H" O% Y' L3 }4 x! W * Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements
( h- F: u9 ]& c. o* v1 n * Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs
, ?" a0 k* N0 T/ l * Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director& G! I# O" c% A- I) Q" I
* Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning1 D. O% d8 l9 ]+ N: w$ i
* Develops high quality promotional and educational materials$ V" U* s; ~: Z2 G3 W
* Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media3 c" v* m3 \' c0 ]
* Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results2 C u$ u6 {1 ^# |; ]6 N
* Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies

' E, d; m. e1 _( x9 D9 Z) ` * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred
& v+ V% w7 T6 e * Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
, s6 @( j* V1 k# J3 u * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset
2 R! W) {+ i/ M! `/ y9 T+ L * Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies' J/ @; D0 R3 w/ E3 v
* Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills9 J" b# o4 ^+ N# d/ I
* Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning3 {3 u; j5 O' `0 ^ \
* Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)! B' k2 I: p. I! k/ y
* Excellent communication (oral and written) and analytical skills# ]6 o( X$ Y4 ?' f% ?
