6 E: `, n, ]3 w- {+ W/ |    * Develops, implements, monitors, and evaluates programs and services to address the unique educational and social needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans-identified,two-spirited and queer (LGBTTQ) youth in the Edmonton region" i, d$ n- |+ ], S! A% C  J% @' }
    * Develops and delivers community-based programming and provides support services for Youth Understanding Youth, Edmonton's sexual minority community youth group
- x7 }4 x" w, b* U6 G    * Trains,motivates and supports volunteer adult facilitators
4 G# C3 r: P. C3 _    * Acts as a resource on LGBTTQ youth issues for Institute staff, community, and governmental organizations! b6 k3 x' j4 }3 H5 @
    * Provides interim quarterly reports and an overall annual productivity report and evaluation to the Assistant Director7 |' d6 x' M' C' Z/ b
    * Liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning and management; monitors project related expenses
* ?1 E4 _# }2 O6 {+ G/ d: A* d, ?9 K    * Advocates to meet the health, social and safety needs of LGBTTQ and questioning youth

    * Develops, implements and monitors a LGBTTQ youth risk and needs assessment
% y. d' `% D2 p( r: h( i: o6 z    * Develops benchmarks to assist in the evaluation of YUY programming and outreach supports
, V# O) U. b0 X5 o# t5 |; @/ H    * Develops promotional materials such as posters, brochures, and displays to promote the youth group and mentoring programs

; u! n2 |8 S% W    * Supports University of Alberta campus organizations for sexual minority students and gay-straight student alliances in local high schools and communities! B* U. Y2 l+ B! S; V
    * Develops a communications and advertising strategy targeting community agencies, youth groups/programs, and schools0 Y: c+ f; |; @* [! V1 \) E

    * Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline
# n0 J# Q8 \0 _) T9 Z; X9 V! \% V    * Three to five years experience in community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth/ }2 l+ m" p% \2 x2 ^$ f3 s
    * Knowledge in adolescent development, health and sex education, violence prevention,suicide intervention, alcohol and substance abuse, HIV and STI prevention and harm reduction strategies6 _1 d2 h9 p% C0 Q
    * Experience in developing and providing youth-oriented programs2 f; K+ @2 Q  H9 n
    * Demonstrated effectiveness in working with the LGBTTQ community6 h" `, V% W" M( Q+ i6 \
    * Fundraising skills an asset8 a1 `( J( v9 w
    * Demonstrated experience in development of youth group programming, community outreach,volunteer management and training and conflict resolution skills! e  Z8 B) d8 |  O4 P
    * Outstanding group facilitation, training, and counselling skills

* `3 e: J) T: a4 Z+ \    * Excellent communication (oral, written, and web-based), organizational and interpersonal skills
