Y7 H0 n% RPosition Abstract: as a community organizer you will be responsible for providing training to residents of an inner city community who are actively involved in creating strategies for a healthier neighbourhood. Working towards ensuring wide participation by residents/organizations in the local community you will assist in reinforcing inclusivity.

7 Z; i* o# N) [5 R0 t! n0 d- YPLUS: a capable advocate for alternative dispute resolution, you will liaise between the community and elected officials/municipal administration, assisting in the development of a strong working relationship between these groups.

) o, p- ~7 |0 p* \0 vEducation & Experience: the position calls for an individual with education in the humanities or related field + 2 years experience in the field of community organizing. Special interest in ecological literacy and sustainable communities will be an asset.

6 |/ j3 P6 T" n& Z. s2 ]Other Skills: the successful candidate will have a strong background in building group capacity & seeing projects through to completion. There is a significant element of research and an opportunity for creativity in assisting residents to address community challenges. Working in a non profit environment will mean that experience in sourcing/writing grant proposals is an asset.
