I do not think Firefox is faster than IE. There are more viruses to IE just because it's more popular and Firefox is pretty new. If FireFox occupies 80% of the market, who knows what will happen. It's nothing about ActiveX technology. There is nothing that is bulletproof.5 M- u2 o& {/ G8 t

For whatever reason, Firefox should be safer, I am not saying faster though. But spyware/adware can make your computor very slow. Check you folder:. S6 O) H) [8 L

If you do not like the activeX, in XP, you can just disable it in the IE configuration. 7 d+ H! J$ X# B# p4 c7 Q0 } ' W& G* y+ @; ], j; DI am using Mozilla in my Linux and IE in my XP. Besides the muti-tab feature, they are almost the same.
