Position: Youth Services Coordinator

Responsibilities
o        Accountable for Towards  A New Generation (T.A.N.G.) youth program
8 Q  M* ~# C  ?8 s& n, g- ro        Writing final reports and assisting in grant proposals for future youth program
o        Supervising and recruiting volunteers for youth program
6 J& _; K, q) Y* u% S. E5 X3 lo        Coordinate, develop, and manage a summer youth program
o        Liaison and working with community and community services providers to further develop youth and girls/women program
o        Train in areas of management, organization and fundraising
o        Accountable for evaluation of all activities based on logic model
, `$ Z' |  v. E! T% [o        Demonstrate team spirit in achieving visions and objectives of the Centre
- E# C  C. Y0 g4 F0 L" Po        Participate in external committees, conferences and workshops for youth related issues
( x4 F, ]  m. |/ Uo        Be open and willing to explore new ideas
$ g0 D. C) V: X4 y8 ~o        Work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
o        Be energetic, enthusiastic and most importantly, sense of humor
4 \* Q3 a4 a' F) J  l2 a" f3 l
Qualifications
" `, N8 y2 Y* y; z% Qo        Degree/diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or any other post secondary education with related work experience
1 Q8 y, I3 H+ q( e2 x, c* v) Jo        Good oral and written English, second Asian language an asset
o        Experience in community work, supervising and managing youths, volunteers, immigrant related issues, experience or knowledge of crime prevention issues an asset
o        Leadership skills, well organized, able to multi-task, good social skills, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
o        Willingness to learn

o        Requires police security check at the expense of employee and child welfare check
