Interior Designer

Responsible for activities related to design, space planning, layout, and+ M; b; z5 V6 r8 S/ P

requirements within allotted time and budget constraints. This position reports

1. Consults with Sales Team in the layout, design and space planning of

2. Performs programming, space planning, furniture selection, layout, casework,
1 c$ ]+ l- `, c9 t' W$ W4 Nproduct pricing, design and selection of fabrics and finishes, includes as-built
/ N0 Z& W5 W+ adrawings, block plans, space plans and finished working drawings for" _& K' ?) y* N' h7 z' E% }+ e7 p
specification and installation.% Y$ ~* K9 g3 g* o
3. Provides professional customer interface by attending client planning
* `- X1 y6 l7 S( v% N9 gmeetings to determine furniture needs and develops solutions to meet these2 y' k6 I4 I9 D# N% S" O) U
needs.
* W6 J5 b0 l: T2 a) s4. Offers technical design and creative consultation to customers by answering
) D6 i8 _( Y5 W1 j$ F1 K# J. a9 froutine and highly specialized questions regarding furniture systems.
' ~; H* ?/ x) i1 F* G, E5. Coordinates, develops, and reviews proposed project designs and construction
|1 J; ^- i6 l2 A0 W5 Hplans. Prepares presentation material including color finish boards. Reviews job# G' k4 F/ x9 p! S
site in order to perform accurate measurements. Will do plan-to-site adherence4 Z: t5 E; u& @( Q' D
checks.

7. Develops project specifications, double checks specifications against plans,
. c. Z! b6 U2 s1 h+ fassures specifications are ready for order entry (SIF file), and manages changes, X( L$ v" Z/ I$ Z" h' }8 h. v

8. Verifies the company design standards have been met. Provides on-site job" c, `( }- T9 z* R. x$ P" ^; Q( E
inspections comparing construction drawings to final build-out.
* Q+ [/ k* m# x9. Tracks, records and ties design hours to specific projects for job costing.- e% G2 Q# ?6 d' |, Y
10. Works with installers to ensure installation meets customer specifications.

related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and* s+ Y8 w, [! N9 G3 Y; u1 _
experience required. Prior experience in office furniture industry, general/ J r8 c8 ~7 r& m
knowledge of systems furniture, and experience in customer interaction required.2 G# E- n* B0 M
