Responsible for activities related to design, space planning, layout, and

1. Consults with Sales Team in the layout, design and space planning of# @; n1 |( [) h# y% o
furniture specifications for client offices. Travels to client’s location to

2. Performs programming, space planning, furniture selection, layout, casework,
% z! {8 O% o" h* Uproduct pricing, design and selection of fabrics and finishes, includes as-built5 [6 w+ F. @, c, C6 g5 `& \& ^
drawings, block plans, space plans and finished working drawings for) \5 @6 W) R. T5 X, A- {/ Z( [
specification and installation.! {3 ?4 t+ L0 ?5 z0 v# ?+ q. g
3. Provides professional customer interface by attending client planning
, J I# G3 m9 d- L5 q. b0 i8 gmeetings to determine furniture needs and develops solutions to meet these. b F5 a( t% ]5 a3 A& {, Y8 u

4. Offers technical design and creative consultation to customers by answering
% a ?" _/ s+ e: m2 `7 p$ xroutine and highly specialized questions regarding furniture systems.
% \3 Z$ z/ V n: o7 ?% {' I6 q5. Coordinates, develops, and reviews proposed project designs and construction
$ \: y6 w% L% T; N/ jplans. Prepares presentation material including color finish boards. Reviews job& g9 p& N; p) {
site in order to perform accurate measurements. Will do plan-to-site adherence& J. Y# ~3 Y9 d' j
checks.

7. Develops project specifications, double checks specifications against plans,
' R0 K' X! H2 [, Yassures specifications are ready for order entry (SIF file), and manages changes$ F. i2 Z; O# j- l a! k
and revisions.
* I& v2 T0 _, G0 z8. Verifies the company design standards have been met. Provides on-site job% F$ @! l V: E& o9 h
inspections comparing construction drawings to final build-out.
( W0 ]& k2 X" j( f9. Tracks, records and ties design hours to specific projects for job costing.
' u9 }$ Z6 B) N+ @& g10. Works with installers to ensure installation meets customer specifications.
0 O$ f! l2 A" y( y' U2 E/ B11. Participates in work-in-progress (WIP) and open order backlog review

J' v3 _ ~1 T4 e( \Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design with a minimum of two (2) years in a+ B# T) Y4 o+ l# |# y6 ?
related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and( n a' g( O9 v& G8 L: _# }
experience required. Prior experience in office furniture industry, general+ S& e' s' w6 s7 p h" T+ i
knowledge of systems furniture, and experience in customer interaction required.% }! x1 v9 B0 q3 Z
2 L( E8 f/ P2 q# h' f S. _Experience with furniture design and specification software required.
