· The Examiner will introduce him/herself and provide proof of identification, when requested. V: d$ t( e2 r; ]% }
· All Driver Examiners are licensed by Alberta Infrastructure and Transportation under the Driver Training9 b2 e0 _1 A3 C$ e+ [, L
and Driver Examination Regulation. They are monitored to ensure they provide high quality road, [" ?1 ? y/ V1 w7 O
tests. They should be courteous and professional, keeping conversation at all times relevant to the

% b" C+ N3 g4 `9 r" `& p· You must have your Learner’s licence. If you have a temporary licence (non-photo), @3 e6 |2 s8 o" |* m4 J7 c
then you must also provide acceptable photo ID.6 |/ _6 I# g _0 x# f3 u
· Wear clothing that is practical for driving and comfort. It should be appropriate for the
9 k B% g3 M3 `$ P* Lweather conditions (in case your vehicle breaks down and you have to wait or walk).$ K, o1 Q& q4 e( j+ v/ C [+ Z6 r7 |
· Your vehicle must meet all legal requirements (good mechanical condition, valid- y7 x2 y- V" \
insurance and registration) and have enough fuel for at least one hour of driving.

The Examiner will do a vehicle check with you. You will be in the driver’s seat and the examiner will ask you to3 S% l7 M: S; G( n) Y
assist in checking the signal and brake lights, horn, brakes, and steering. You will be asked to describe and
* y/ k. F' @$ q% t% X' j2 bdemonstrate two of the instruments or controls inside the vehicle, such as the hazard lights and windshield
8 @. `* X+ v- ~! i+ Wwipers. The Examiner will provide information before you move the vehicle about the route and the instructions

· The Examiner will not ask you to do anything illegal.

The Examiner will give you a copy of the Driver Examination Checklist form. You will also be given a copy of the- g, g7 c. G& m6 i$ z. i' w
Test Permit. This will indicate that you have passed. Take this permit, along with your learner’s licence, to any1 Y+ m7 x2 O7 t$ [5 L5 g
Alberta Registry Agent to have your licence changed to a Class 5 Probationary Licence. There will be a fee for this

What do I do if I do not pass my road test?
