Job Description
% q! A* ^5 O/ `8 C- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.; i* N. B/ ^8 M, `% l& ?; S
- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker
( y2 H, D' g1 f$ B, f, X- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team

Qualifications:/ N( U1 r7 Y8 X2 n& B2 c, o" V
- post secondary diploma
* X2 d0 j! n4 L2 O3 B9 k2 @$ o- customer service and office clerical experiences
- Y; ?/ b1 L4 G! i/ x/ {0 k- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset) ^ T/ T! E$ Y+ G4 X# Q, P

5 Z8 V6 ~% E/ I8 B- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community
- `8 V: j. [3 E4 l& i @- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
+ y7 t! J; |$ U7 Z- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
5 C: P0 j1 V" }4 w0 o( ^- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies/ w9 }$ n2 E) ^! T( f! {+ D0 E
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
) J4 K+ c6 g. J5 m2 |1 n- update ASSIST website0 M6 c! c/ X2 { w
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
* t. }% c1 a1 y$ L- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services& z6 {6 M2 ]2 B. Y8 E2 V' l
- assist in writing proposal for ISP9 ]! X. |& R0 L7 m, D
- write quarterly and final reports for ISP

- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time: i0 q. v, k& U* \* C

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)) Y* E4 |% S) t* V' d

- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education
5 W: g6 f, m/ M: O0 X$ W$ Y- good oral and written Chinese and English skills2 b. Y8 P, d0 q1 _' [" X- F& x
- experience in community work and immigrant services
