Position Title: Receptionist/Immigration Services Worker

* s# }) w9 V2 a8 r- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.* D! n, e' V- |# J* _, E
- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker
4 G3 H3 J+ W6 e ~6 V- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team

- post secondary diploma 8 M( h& J, d, l; M3 ]; g
- customer service and office clerical experiences

0 H9 X ?* v r- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community
2 l* E5 ^1 P' {% s, z8 g- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
# H% N! l3 S8 m: W* A6 [" m- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
/ D7 ]0 R2 U) Y+ w0 k/ _" p" r3 |- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies2 J) F; Q" x* C6 c* [
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
5 b* Z/ \% j+ b" O5 e- G1 ~: n- update ASSIST website: h9 j( @3 `6 A3 d3 s" n- f) w. i
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre. Y+ a9 y& s$ V! w9 L" y
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
) A: \1 X2 J2 m7 {- assist in writing proposal for ISP
2 I7 y8 B$ j9 B- write quarterly and final reports for ISP
( z: G6 U* T! R- hold regular meetings with ISP team% G( I u U- l# q3 E
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

' c" S& a3 D( M( \5 x' P9 c2 g- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

: n( L0 G# i; ^; a. Y* N- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education
" H: w0 D; n G" {. `; ]- good oral and written Chinese and English skills. w* S$ H, K3 H% M8 B' x4 x! Q
- experience in community work and immigrant services
