- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.- q; g& D' Y" R! p
- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker' _) K4 x6 A% b# L1 G
- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team i* l& k! T7 _7 F" n

- post secondary diploma

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community
$ E! F, E- p; s- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
! L6 o, N1 K' c. i& D* b i; F- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services* R# c8 W3 J8 P. W C
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
s8 m$ A' c: P d, o4 T: C: z; R- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
- b5 l O5 j% |& |" A+ e7 g- update ASSIST website
3 b ^' O4 D% x8 ~% [; ]6 ]- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
, z$ _$ ~5 {7 F. O6 }3 r- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
; s; c8 z3 ^ ^( D3 X+ U' R6 ^- assist in writing proposal for ISP9 G3 T9 |7 A6 h6 _9 Q; ^
- write quarterly and final reports for ISP

- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time" g+ U8 d% F! D6 h* _

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)# i: p8 F7 j0 c, J/ X

Qualifications3 q- ~. O7 R& Q% u1 Q
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education
. s2 X0 @" j2 i3 _( U0 L, c9 y- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
# P) W! P: d$ V# U: o5 K% B& W; p: @- experience in community work and immigrant services
