Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) at ASSIST Community Services Centre is currently seeking flexible individual to fill the following two positions:

Position Title: Receptionist/Immigration Services Worker

- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.
V% j* F+ u* f- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker9 b2 J0 `" J9 z, M6 x# o& }% V
- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team% c' G. ^- s/ u/ ]+ N' t) }
) j+ I+ T2 x/ {* I* ?; {+ C I* A
Qualifications:9 r! \' i% \- y K7 o5 I; g6 U
- post secondary diploma ; F7 l6 \% m! T4 x( g: {
- customer service and office clerical experiences, `; T3 g3 e7 U
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset$ n# q; M* h. w% l$ n* y4 O0 a7 Z

Job Description

- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
; r3 c5 T% ]7 d% W0 h3 m- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services% p9 o4 s7 u, u1 n% }0 G
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies1 v" Z! @% z' n8 c9 O
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members$ m. S) [1 s8 A: z( }1 x i0 h
- update ASSIST website
5 S1 L. @2 O( Y8 Z. u7 m0 N% |) C) w- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
5 K! a9 e. u; J- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
! c' e% y3 C$ Y8 t% |" I( H- assist in writing proposal for ISP4 u$ H: a% b1 |8 }% e W( ^: b5 @* E
- write quarterly and final reports for ISP& u! g/ X7 k! \- N* z( A9 C+ I0 Y
- hold regular meetings with ISP team* W6 B- {( T) }( Y+ q
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time
. N1 m4 b( W; O- update membership database! o% n! Q, g7 W" |' x
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)" z1 v+ ^, T5 v2 K/ K: t

* j2 |4 G% E i$ D9 g- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education
, P0 H/ E: ~$ H, j6 ?5 l3 L# h% S% s- good oral and written Chinese and English skills3 g8 g6 I( U: a/ l3 {/ L
- experience in community work and immigrant services
