This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for
4 g+ L% n1 I6 M# x2 g6 T+ ]becoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.) {4 o: J$ z3 k1 z/ M7 S
4 w5 X3 D) z _! S- X: mTrainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials/ q% E* [1 I* D
of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different' x: v1 m, C1 D* [3 Q9 J7 d2 P
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.
