: \! g4 |. i: n7 r3 ]* K/ jThis is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for4 k) I! T: M& G" C# r: y: y" ]
becoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.

Trainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials
5 B' ]1 g: s+ w% zof Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different9 y W. I3 z* j3 V
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.9 [" |5 @/ n d* i% l/ Q
k& j9 C) ` e% dCertified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
