# r% |5 d6 f+ }( @0 |+ n. H+ sThis is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for3 |( ?( i0 R: N2 Z6 J, l
becoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.1 ?$ {3 ~/ t* |

Trainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials% M Q( E) \# I' e' y+ S e
of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different4 p0 C& |1 C F7 ^0 y; e. L
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.8 {5 G2 y& P9 a, _
5 _+ k0 v8 n# ?: Y
Certified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
