This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for
' G9 K1 z2 h2 t! `* r/ {' S' G4 G0 ubecoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.1 Q3 v) C; K* G! U: C' q
# R8 W9 _( {) f' g4 B- L: rTrainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials
- y. d( \! v( I3 zof Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different1 w$ Q5 M0 i/ M+ |
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.- h0 P8 v/ e0 v5 _
