This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for9 {" B0 k, X$ a7 J! ~; C+ `) a% @
becoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.

! \7 x O( z' S& p* [: w$ w/ XTrainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials$ }, k& c7 n) k) }+ ^
of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different
& i; w$ d3 K# _certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.8 N8 y" _* d c. o& h l

Certified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
