This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for
; J/ O9 N! t3 s- Kbecoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.$ u& q- X3 @+ p8 E3 [

Trainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials% U3 |& q* D! Z) B4 e
of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different
* }; ~( I/ h% y3 j1 Xcertified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events. ~3 V9 N/ h: x
2 O$ X$ i3 I6 a0 X, XCertified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
