This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for
: Q7 Y/ l: G/ Rbecoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.3 X* B" T# B6 Y+ j+ k
" m8 A' {6 F4 W+ v" pTrainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials
9 w! H! w7 M( Kof Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different0 M+ p3 V5 I9 C% A; H7 @; g2 j
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.& W' {! }! X6 X9 k7 M/ F- i6 b2 }
