EDBA (Edmonton District Badminton Association,就是我们加入的那个协会)在2月23日星期六举行一个裁判的培训。% q' v6 }3 l P: u9 H

时间:上午9点至12点理论培训,下午1点至4点实习。

This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for8 U. ?: x5 P* u& y6 {+ W$ w
becoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.3 H$ x' ?3 X0 f! M( P- }
1 j: a8 J3 l4 y7 f V, Q; JTrainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials
% m+ U6 \+ O! wof Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different8 v+ W- B- R! r# O/ K7 M5 y; f
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.; W$ |8 |, {+ Z' W: W) o2 V$ z% }9 t
: F1 ]) A* l! q+ H" P; }% WCertified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
