EDBA (Edmonton District Badminton Association,就是我们加入的那个协会)在2月23日星期六举行一个裁判的培训。6 b X# a Y+ A! w# ^+ T

, |/ m( [, ~1 m9 zThis is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for
W0 I- X' e o% }) Y2 nbecoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.

* M+ I; w9 A) wTrainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials
; k' |( p* z+ O3 K- Xof Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different3 `* O' v9 P0 [ D& m% a
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.- N+ M6 C- i+ z5 X& H) T
