2 s& j y2 x& V# B0 D8 ]6 [& H- fThis is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for9 N) [. E7 E' o1 t
becoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.# [ z/ p% l) q
& ?8 U6 R( M# s& t
Trainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials
4 a" q1 R' s% G# p* C0 l+ ?of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different* n/ _! c" U% Y, e$ F, o) {" ~
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events./ _3 O0 U; P% a9 Y* V# L! [$ F

Certified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
