EDBA (Edmonton District Badminton Association，就是我们加入的那个协会）在2月23日星期六举行一个裁判的培训。6 T* q3 U- r% G) K8 r

3 e; d# X2 [8 DThis is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for
, |! W+ A7 F. R) u- Ibecoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.

- R7 K, X: }) P" v' Q' q3 XTrainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials
' R' w2 }$ r3 V7 \. P+ W" [0 Sof Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different4 J: B0 x# [+ K) i% e
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.7 {7 b* ^( k1 k3 S s
7 Q; m5 T- u7 J. n+ ^4 OCertified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
