EDBA (Edmonton District Badminton Association，就是我们加入的那个协会）在2月23日星期六举行一个裁判的培训。0 T, s5 ^2 [7 `/ C7 E- b

This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for/ b0 ]) D# J* t: s z
becoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.- F0 @5 }, U6 V) t% J# ` I* k" r! I

Trainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials
; Y9 Z" t) ?1 K: p: a W0 r8 \of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different c n8 [) M! z/ O$ z8 h
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.) ? D, W [. h
, N0 `' ?3 t/ o k9 @4 l/ iCertified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
