This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for
' U0 {. Z& j+ s9 ?- O7 Wbecoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.: p$ M+ r4 K% P0 e0 O
( w, U: B3 P, `% e5 jTrainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials n4 o, H7 h+ Y+ x4 z
of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different
5 g4 ]5 d6 @: tcertified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.
