This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for
% u& I4 Q6 ~" }5 i) G- i& sbecoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.1 n5 ^, v/ e& ] x0 T8 j
' ^+ o0 b% o6 x! e; ITrainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials
3 L- n4 T. r* j0 ?of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different) {& f @5 j/ i; T! t* O6 @
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.9 H5 J4 m3 `7 B3 c: g$ B! p% z

Certified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
