! m! C0 T7 z) `7 V3 ~, l7 SThis is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for
' s9 C" w4 m' p; o- M5 f- e! Zbecoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.

! ^9 H1 o: `: R$ i+ rTrainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials
_9 j Y y" Z8 Q5 Jof Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different9 V2 _# c r! K9 u3 a! ~3 \
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.2 W5 T, m1 \" n

Certified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
