This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for& i' q1 Y/ M4 D6 s6 C
becoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them." Y R0 V! s% \- n- P& H
* q- E' e9 T+ p1 b2 LTrainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials3 I" ?5 _5 @- C3 |! ?
of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different+ A" q0 c; a7 Y" \/ f! H
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.1 d8 W* H, f$ {, _ O( ?! g# S
6 M+ m7 ] s, | J2 mCertified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
