This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for: }- B, D$ a8 Y" Y- F" \' O
becoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.

4 G* F7 Y& n+ C) ]" tTrainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials
3 L/ B# z% l5 q( k2 fof Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different
$ O- L/ X& Q7 |, x, ^7 T' ecertified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.# z8 ^6 \( b, f8 N+ N+ \
9 p6 H( |, u; c9 X) JCertified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
