This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for
7 @% ]9 m+ G* `$ t2 G" }( l* w- bbecoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.

Trainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials
; t! Z& e; F8 ?0 _of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different; _" c& W' T, [( f( x3 n
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.* {1 l$ o& D% b# x6 I
1 z r- x% u# h- @+ b* ^Certified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
