Description:6 i0 Z' T- }% V
This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for; U3 V2 }, h$ I% A: W8 ?& v
becoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.6 b. q* X# l9 P1 W$ p* `. g+ a ?, R
% E7 s! h5 ~+ }
Trainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials1 d$ R, u/ I: K9 K2 ~& `" n
of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different
* `3 a/ t* h% ~, f7 k8 Lcertified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.
