This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for8 L" W; W& d! K- u7 ~" J/ ~
becoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.

Trainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials( r0 ^' P1 P1 t6 z' R# g2 W
of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different0 A! N, o, ^4 b
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.) t( b8 E1 Z1 j6 B# s9 p
* D, c0 k) G8 E1 d% sCertified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
