: B2 f. Q1 H, E* w# U) E1 d M# z2 dThis is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for/ I7 }8 {% ?1 G
becoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.2 r$ s% a/ G: Z# |

Trainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials
' H3 Q0 Z' Z/ M- \8 G$ [. `' yof Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different7 P* X. M- A$ }
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.; ^3 H _! {' N2 v" P

Certified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
