EDBA (Edmonton District Badminton Association,就是我们加入的那个协会)在2月23日星期六举行一个裁判的培训。) N: x& Y& B' a4 K

: h7 C8 V# Y5 |9 JThis is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for. e! `- q4 }( h/ l6 O$ i
becoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.! A2 b4 J% q( |/ ~* j
: K4 o1 D5 F% A V, mTrainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials% x5 _* q% h4 t" U h6 a
of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different2 x$ a; T+ v4 y( V {
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.

Certified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
