EDBA (Edmonton District Badminton Association，就是我们加入的那个协会）在2月23日星期六举行一个裁判的培训。

5 O7 t, d; W. @2 RThis is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for' ]: k; }: a: R6 D3 N/ i$ V
becoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.

Trainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials# ~$ l3 G8 o. [6 T6 f8 k
of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different: a% J4 O$ w7 H8 ~5 @
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events. M$ }/ }& l7 t, y. [

Certified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
