; o0 j& \* F9 O+ n" a7 ]6 S9 ?This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for, B) w( C2 ~& S3 d7 }4 r g! N
becoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.! z: L# d6 p/ k6 I

Trainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials/ e8 d6 F# _# |% _
of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different5 g6 \* z8 K! B9 H
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events./ t: [5 i9 F6 Q# M

Certified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
