4 S; `! T7 k9 d* G6 W! MThis is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for
5 z. c6 ?7 L1 v5 H( f% a. F. i; w+ x& \becoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.% Y" J1 y0 j& ]
, G0 g$ P3 d3 b4 v. `( bTrainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials
% s% C6 e9 q% Wof Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different
$ h% g/ l8 _+ d6 v9 H- _certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.
