This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for j, ^ i* M* C+ W- x
becoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.. @5 q6 |% F7 x+ }" V& P
! E: U8 Y/ _* s- V) X, L# A
Trainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials' x: C+ L6 X3 @1 P; L
of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different
( H3 _ p& a) `5 u hcertified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.

+ i4 m7 r' u rCertified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
