This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for. @) C5 f" q% d
becoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.. `; _% d( r9 F+ R3 [" R5 \% @
) J8 u1 M0 o8 L/ U; U- N
Trainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials; |" g# j( H4 _ b
of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different3 ?& c* M6 U3 a2 G4 E2 r- f$ k/ l
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.
