This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for
. S5 P, A, }. Z; j, {" `% i/ J' V! M! hbecoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.

Trainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials' b& X. ], C" N
of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different
% r9 @+ Q% i- o# m. n9 Bcertified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.% Y1 ~+ }5 d) j/ V W
u7 N- ~7 @5 SCertified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
