This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for
! l4 V# e2 R3 |- Pbecoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them., |: [$ Q3 e: E% j3 Y
0 u( }$ B+ w: o; i7 UTrainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials: U' B* C4 D* L# O3 s7 a
of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different9 [6 i* C+ H$ ~3 X! a
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.
