This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for
/ E0 j" O- g4 S, Wbecoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.# B7 t; U' z. P4 u

Trainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials+ m2 O" m$ c+ X# C# d) S1 ~7 t7 ^
of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different& r+ M( x" [% _; q* `+ l$ V1 U l
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.( o$ J, E3 t( s
+ J1 B' w# t: b, _Certified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
