7 O. `% D, H0 P. f! b, eThis is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for
6 ~" M2 h7 ^: _4 L4 A1 e3 hbecoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.

" n1 V. H% \8 I0 OTrainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials
8 \' L- s( n( D6 lof Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different0 }; Y9 F# S" F+ t
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.5 W( Z$ n! b h( |, b8 I
o8 H. W$ U K! v4 gCertified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
