) s l/ p% t) D) M8 lThis is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for
- f/ A$ ?& D5 [7 ^3 _# r5 w' rbecoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.+ C# y1 \( ]5 _3 }3 C Z
! ?) u, o1 w p- S' t$ ?" S2 f
Trainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials/ \0 [6 @! j- P! \
of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different! v* O" Z1 a1 ?' ?9 O6 `; Z9 H% b
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.0 r) i3 ^4 Y/ D

Certified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
