6 {9 H3 v5 g# j [This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for0 Q; v& _1 m* o$ v: ~
becoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.) N S2 C: i7 b
B0 E: p0 c- O( @! hTrainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials
% w0 e1 q, W% R4 ]' H7 R0 V+ `* _of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different( d2 S) B# L6 A9 Z* B' a3 r4 n: ^$ w
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.+ Y! W* C- ]$ f( L' o3 D

Certified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
