9 c0 E5 _ R# |' VThis is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for
5 h) Y% R) ^& P% r0 L' r! }) ~becoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.! Y: L( j7 d+ h6 C$ R7 _

Trainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials
& q* M6 z5 z% _5 O3 F: H2 k s& @of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different- Q& \9 T5 L! j! J9 d+ z
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.
