EDBA (Edmonton District Badminton Association，就是我们加入的那个协会）在2月23日星期六举行一个裁判的培训。& S" G6 F. ?! G9 R0 i/ T4 [! s* P
# H. }! P: D. |& h时间：上午9点至12点理论培训，下午1点至4点实习。

t& i! E2 t! H0 Q& p% xThis is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for
* V4 n) R4 j I* S8 n, I1 T8 s/ Ibecoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.( V; W$ a) Q. ~' ?
2 ?" d" o, Q# L" PTrainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials0 s9 p- X- B/ V3 ^& V/ r% t
of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different9 K- k) G& s% n @, z
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.( V/ H3 y; G& W @

Certified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
