其实cheesy这个词也有别的意思,和肉麻涵盖的范围并不是完全一致的,只是我“研究”至今的最近词汇。油油有啥高见?

what about clichéd or hackneyed, are they closer? They both mean something by "overuse" but the end results still seem to difer from when I use 肉麻

Thought I'd throw in my 2 cents!
$ p  W) f* V9 S% A$ j: ?9 a" s% |
+ Y5 C6 D7 b. }7 ?cheesy often means "cheap, flimsy and of low quality". However, when it is used to describe food, it usually means "of a lot of cheese"; when describing an emotional/sentimental scenario, it could mean "fake", "of low class",  caused by affectation, which may very much make one to feel "rou ma" , "goose bumps" is just one of its infamous side effects.
