ATGCell Inc., a spin-off biotech company (http://www.atgcell.com) of the
University of Alberta, is focusing on the production and service of
recombinant proteins and stable cell lines. To further develop our
" ?' a0 T! H1 O# @6 q3 etechnology, we are currently seeking a highly-motivated researcher with
! n( c1 g! N: x# e! W6 _strong track record in molecular and/or cellular biology and willingness
to apply for government funding with us.
! T' s# A' S! i/ c$ h
Qualified candidates should have a PhD or MS degree within 5 years or will
obtain one within 2-3 months, in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a
related field. Extensive experience in protein expression and purification
from bacterial or eukaryotic sources, and/or in mammalian cell culture, is
required. Familiarity with recombinant DNA techniques, including PCR, DNA
cloning and mutagenesis is also required. Prior experience in protein
over-expression in insect cells/yeast, or large-scale protein purification
4 c# _' i* s1 x  Y% ~is a good plus. The position requires excellent organizational skills with
& K! c6 S7 T" o7 S' }# Jthe ability to work independently and multi-tasked along with keeping
- o( y/ w! \; p" j8 V: baccurate and complete research records.

This position is conditional to a successful application of external
funding, such as the Alberta Ingenuity Fund R&D Associate. Anticipated
salary for the successful candidate will be 55-60K/yr depending on
