R* u, {/ u1 _5 X* w, WAs the Corporate Financial Co-ordinator within the Corporate Accounting and Reporting office of the Finance Branch, you will lead the year-end reporting functions within the City as well as the operating fund corporate accounting, and guide the development of related policy, procedures, and strategies. This includes:

· Coordinating the completion of the annual consolidated financial statements, the Provincial municipal information return, and other financial reporting for audit.

· Providing advice within the organization and to related Boards and Authorities on options for resolution of financial and reporting issues.: ?) B) h6 R6 {; K* l3 l7 C4 u

· Leading the development of related policy and procedures, and internal training where required.

; O& ^- z2 q' s· Performing the regular and customary managerial functions including decisions respecting staff hire/promotion, work assignment, performance appraisal, discipline, and leave/overtime authorization.

· University Degree majoring in accounting or finance, and a Professional Accounting Designation.

; M* i0 u4 v$ d' f- `) L# N8 s, H· A minimum of eight (8) years of progressive experience in the financial accounting and reporting field.

· Experience with complex computerized financial systems. Familiarity with SAP would be advantageous.
