As the Corporate Financial Co-ordinator within the Corporate Accounting and Reporting office of the Finance Branch, you will lead the year-end reporting functions within the City as well as the operating fund corporate accounting, and guide the development of related policy, procedures, and strategies. This includes:0 T q5 y0 `/ l% J# e
6 c' r* P. v/ b! o( M, x' u· Coordinating the completion of the annual consolidated financial statements, the Provincial municipal information return, and other financial reporting for audit.3 n5 V& X# v. ?* R

· Providing advice within the organization and to related Boards and Authorities on options for resolution of financial and reporting issues.6 O' l) \8 z/ M

· Leading the development of related policy and procedures, and internal training where required.

· University Degree majoring in accounting or finance, and a Professional Accounting Designation.

. I7 q* a9 d! g8 b/ s1 G· A minimum of eight (8) years of progressive experience in the financial accounting and reporting field.

· Experience with complex computerized financial systems. Familiarity with SAP would be advantageous.9 h& t! @( B( m5 Z# U9 R

· A thorough knowledge of municipal accounting and reporting practices and standards.
