Job Title:  Program Coordinator – Smart Choice (AADAC)

5 t+ O9 |1 A' T' V6 GResponsibilities:
9 h5 J8 n- a3 l•        Design advertising contest for grades 4 – 6 students on problem gambling
•        Solicit donations for advertising contest tokens of appreciation
•        Develop promotional tools for advertising contest
•        Contact elementary schools in Edmonton and area
" c) U( s! G0 p6 d•        Problem gambling awareness
& R8 a+ l1 b" p, R+ G0 g2 N! V! s  N2 w•        Promote advertising contest
•        Contact local library, community agencies, government buildings and City Hall in Edmonton for permission to display poetry entries
•        Collaborate with local Actors to design workshops and presentations
; \* b! U" q7 g* U9 c: Q9 c7 V: n* _•        Contact elementary schools in Edmonton and area to attend the actor’s workshops and presentations
•        Set up displays and deliver presentations at elementary schools and community events
•        Host actor’s workshops and presentations
4 g  N: a% h6 w. \2 V•        Perform evaluations for actor’s workshops and presentations
0 ~+ b  b! M; b7 y5 i•        Display contest entries in a local libraries, community agencies, City Hall with forms for viewer’s choice
•        Select panel of judges for advertising contest
) {8 o: q% `% ^/ E, c$ A' }•        Award students with most insightful poetry contributions

$ h* Y# H: ?' R( ]$ G7 e•        Prepare and write monthly report and quarterly financial report

6 o( ]9 [+ ~0 x( N+ f$ o& AQualifications
•        Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences with at least 2 years of work experience in social services, addiction services, community work or family services as well as experience working in projects.  Fluency in oral and written English, other languages an asset.  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.  Computer literacy required, including MS Words, Excel, and Internet.
